2015 Casablancea White V6 3.8 Tech package. +++ AWD Excellent review Steve, II saw your review and did some more research. Took a test drive at my local Genesis dealer- I was blown away- smooth silk power to all wheels with a rear wheel bias Thank you Steve i bought the 2015 V6 3.8 and thanks to you and others reviewers - quite ride but firm suspension , convenience and details creature comforts, The interior shows a lot of thought went into the design. what a bargain ! German engineering, Peter and Luc and lotus help really spiked this second generation Genesis. Cons- It is heavy compared to its German rivals- no brand heritage, but pros- drives planted to the ground, a good warranty, and a very well made solid car, this is really a good car. ! under appreciated and still not gets the looks wherever i go.

2 year update, quite simply the best car I have owned. It is currently at 137,203,kms just got back after another oil change , leather seats and cabin very comfortable and quite. The best value , the best driving package, the last of the natural aspiratorated V6 AROUND. A treat to drive on highway..... well done hyundai, Lotus and german & korean engineers at hyundai.
Great review of one of my favorite cars! I first saw it at the Chicago Auto Show and I fell in love!

I have a Malibu LTZ 2010 and this is the car in looking at and I'm just amazed by this review I love it.

One of the most enjoyable reviews I've seen on the Genesis. I've been researching for 6months and it will be the Genesis or the Equus is I can find one sitting for a bit and at a good deal. If you take the Ultimate pkg and the Tech pkg and put it on the Genesis, you can get one for 42 here locally. That to me, is one hell of a car. My problem is what does the standard Equus really offer better than the Genesis! Your review was informative, interesting to watch with the dose of humor and you are a good speaker! You should continue doing more reviews on all of the H vehicles.

Hellfax I know how you feel...and am sorry for the delay. I was filming a couple of commercials (I'll post them next week) as well as this video plus I had a whole lot of extra work to do these past two months...so it took a little longer to complete this. Finally a new review! Wish you would've demonstrated some of the safety tech (like in Hyundai commercials), but good review overall. Nice car, but I think people who can afford a luxury car would rather pay a little more for the luxury badge and treatment.

Right there with ya. The 2015-2016 years especially are extremely overlooked for the sheer amount of tech and safety features given.
The cooled seats and heads up display alone had me Very interested..then I learned the 5.0's go 0-60 in 5.1secs which is awesome considering this is a large, heavy car.
Go genesis Go! I've seen this car in real and it is a decent luxury sport car. If you do not like the review just watch something else. Congratulations again for the great review!

Excellent review. Yes it is too good to be true, excellent car for the price. This could have been another Audi design but Korean got it. This car has all the Audi's touches, maybe not the same quality but for $20K less( compare to A6) , I don't mind.
Steve, you gotta make more videos more often. Your humor, presentation, video editing, sounds, and in depth info is always bar none stellar. Always look forward to a new video. Keep it up partner.

I know this might be an unpopular comment but id love this car with a frugal diesel even if it is underpowered. I don't think id be racing anyone in this cruiser maybe a torquey diesel might just be what the doctor ordered I know that's what I'm personally waiting on. That fuel economy is just not something I'm willing to consider in this day and age

The problem is that its too damn heavy which ruins fuel economy especially with rwd! I have the previous gen sedan and i love it dunno if ill upgrade to this
Well 18 in the city is not for a typical v6. It does have eco mode too plus you get 430+ range miles in a tank so balances it out .
A couple minor errors. The transmission is not ZF-produced, it is Hyundai's own in-house 8 speed. Also, the navigation is not only touchscreen, it has its own iDrive-esque scroll knob in the center console. Otherwise, great review

And one more quip, sorry! Hyundai is not Kia's luxury marquee, they are both owned by the same company but compete in the same market (it doesn't make sense, I know)

I think its a good car
Hyundai should probably consider renaming the Genesis Coupe, even though I get what they were trying to do. People naturally will assume that the Genesis Sedan and the Coupe are just versions of each other, whereas in reality they're two completely different cars. Instead, "Hyundai Genesis" is more like a title than a name.
lol they took the design of the GS460 and the 7 series and just mixed it to get to this.

Your reviews are all that.. Missed you buddy... If you value money for what you get. I thing its a great buy.. Plus that warranty is nice.. They make their cars to last.
So much BMW, Merc and Jaguar going on in this design. And in the end, which is the sad truth, its just a Hyundai. Would like to see one in personal though, but I dont even know if its sold in good old Europe.

how does this v6 in 2015 get such appalling mpg figures, my 1998 S class gets 22 combined from a 5.0 v8 and weighs 1300 lbs more
He had AWD and it heavy weight and a subpar v6 , you have a V8 with more power and RWD
Hyundai Genesis is great car. look nice, but still has lots of mission problems. so that, I am not a big fans of Hyundai.

Great sales pitch, but unfortunately NOT a real auto review. In a way it is sad because it is so well done, and could been an awesome review. A little bit too much acting, the whole thing is a like a fake LV bag, like the car "a fake BMW" a copy of BMW in every aspect. Sadly not legit, still a great car.

I test drove the 5.0 V8 sedan and I really don't get what all the excitement is about. The ride isn't smooth yet harsh bumps hit rather hard. The body doesn't have that ingot solid feel you get from a German car and the 5.0 despite having a ton of HP and decent torque doesn't move the car any faster than an older much heavier BMW 750i with less HP/TQ figures. It is quiet and refined inside but it's easy to stuff sound deadening into the car so that's not much of an accomplishment. It is a good value when you look at it on paper but in real life it doesn't ride/handle like a proper luxury/sport brand and since these don't sell well you will be forced to go to the dealership (because of lack of competition) to get parts which means big bucks need to be spent.
well idiot there's a reason this car is 20k lower than other cars you are comparing it to . and this car is more reliable than the german piece of shit luxury vehicle that fall apart 4 years into their life . good day

By the time I watched the video I so horrified by my shoddy shoes that I immediately set them on fire and threw them at my camera man in disgust for not mentioning how worn they looked......!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately he caught fire and sued me (as soon as he got out of the burn unit at the hospital) so now I can't afford ANY new shoes.... Dang it....!
