This training session was such a treat and working with the foal's has been very fulfilling. In today’s video you're going to see us work on various skills in order to help both Ezzy & Ariel become well rounded yearlings. Two beautiful young fillies growing up to become two gorgeous mares. The love and kindness you give them while doing boot camp training with them will definitely set them up for success.
Ezzie looks like a full grown horse! Ariel shed out so nice! So pretty. They both did so well at foal boot camp! That was fun to watch.
Of course they're obsessing over Lumiere. He's a totally hot Rock Star! You should definitely put a poster of him in their stalls.😂❤

I love how they’re allowed to explore for themselves so they can figure out what things are. I love curiosity in a horse because I think it ups their IQ which makes for a thinking horse and a true partner.

Ariel is getting so pretty now. You can kinda see how she’s going to look as an adult. She did so great with the tarp. Good enrichment for her.

It is so amazing that these two girls were babies, and now they are young teenagers with a crush on Lumiere.....and they are both so elegant as young ladies ......if today was the first time I'd seen them, it would be difficult to accept they were not even YEARLINGS YET. Close, but not quite a year old! I just love looking at them. Ezzie is going to outgrow her sister in the long run, and she will be gorgeous and sweet. I'm so thankful they came into our lives under your care. It was meant to be. God bless them always. And you and Kyle.

Ariel and Izzy did so good at boot camp. They both look so absolutely stunning and it was cute how beauty sat in the background and watched both of them get their lessons done
Starting yearlings properly is so very important to ensure they live a stress free life no matter who owns them or who rides them. It’s is just like socializing a puppy. ❤️

That's all called "Absolute Trust". Your Horses all have unbelievable trust in you and that is not taught. One either has it or not. Your behavior is always firm, but not authoritarian. You always act with a balanced treatment of correction, affection, and encouragement.

It was amazing how Ezzy's coat lit up with that gold saddle pad. Gold is definitely her color!!! Ariel has such a good mind. She is a gem!

Shae! What you are doing for these babies is so important to not only stimulate them, but to lay the groundwork for them to be absolutely solid and confident horses who trust you! I wish every young horse was started this way! We wouldn't have such spooky horses out there if everyone took the time to start their babies like this!
Whether you decide to keep them forever or move them on to new homes in the distant future, their new owner will be the luckiest person to know that they were raised with love and care from an early age!
Some of us have to only guess at what traumas our horses went through in their early lives, but to know that yours were given nothing but love and gentle training, is just an amazing sight to see! Bless you Shae for your compassionate approach to training all of your horses! ❤

True about doing things from both sides. As the saying goes, you can do something on one side of a horse but if you move to the other side you are dealing with a completely different horse.

So much happening in this video! First, Lumiere is the hot guy in school, they have crushes! Second, Ezzy is so willing to do what you want, just so she can be with you. Ariel might not have had human contact until she came home with you, but she was learning valuable life lessons with her Mom. I’m betting that they were left loose in a several hundred acre pasture with the whole herd of brood mares. That taught her to manage her limbs very early. Tree branches, rocks and brush were daily life for her. She already knows where her feet are and how to keep track of them. They both look at you like their lead mare. They love, respect and enjoy everything about their time with you. At least in my eyes. They are both growing up in an academically advantaged home. They are going to be PhD candidates!

I really enjoyed watching your training of the girls. I’ve trained dogs for 45 years and I’m always interested in watching how people relate to their animals when they are training them. I think you deserve to be proud of these two but you should be proud of yourself. You have a wonderful way of relating to the horses and bringing out the best in them. it’s wonderful to watch.❤
When I was a little girl I always wanted part of being a little girl. But then I got my first dog and started training and the bond you have with an animal that you have trained is so strong that it became passion. I got into showing and into competing in the sport of obedience.

I think Ezzy would let you do just about anything to her as long as you rubbed on her and talk to her. I can’t believe how big she is already. Ariel’s coloring is amazing now that she has shed out, she is a sweet girl too.

Appreciate your videos very much. I have learned a lot about horses. I have always loved horses and wanted one very badly when I was a kid. We had a dairy farm, but no, no horses. Parents said they were just an expensive luxury, serving no useful purpose. I'm now 78 so think my horse days are over. But I love seeing yours and appreciate your instruction. I have learned a ton.

I don't know anything about these foals other than what is in the videos, but Ariel reminds me a bit of kids who have been through some stuff in their early years, and how much they can blossom under better care. She seems so smart and sensitive- makes me wonder if she'd be good at some of the therapeutic horse activities when she is older.
