Islam has significantly shaped human civilization, knowledge, ethics, and art. The Renaissance of knowledge and faith,!! in non-Muslim countries today, where we observe how Islam has contributed to architecture, intellectual advancements, and knowledge-such as in Andalusia, Spain, and the magnificent Muslim art in India, among others in Muslim countries. So This stands in stark contrast to European imperialist colonization, which involved ethnic cleansing and the plundering of nations' wealth. Acknowledging the truth is a sign of being civilized, rather than mourning in the comment section, my friends!
I don't think it was it Islam that shaped human civilization but the peoples that lived in the eastern part of the world. They just happened to be Muslim. Just like the west now dominates in knowledge, ethics, technology, arts and happen to be mostly Christian or non religious at all. It's not because they are Christian. It's because of countries they live in. I do agree nations where Islam was dominant started the Renaissance.

Was excellent but very surprised at your short negative discussion of Sultan Abdülhamid II. After studying with Ottoman historian Dr Yakoob Ahmed this strikes me as a very Western narrative.
I can understand where you're coming from and to be honest, I think I was LITTLE too harsh on him in this video. In my defence, the focus of this video was much more on intellectual rather than political developments - so even me covering him in this video had to be done from the perspective of his relationship with intellectuals such as the Young Ottomans. Next year, I intend on making a video on Abdulhamid where I will go into a lot more depth about his reign.
@@HikmaHistoryI really appreciate your response! I've been studying Sultan A dulnamod particularly under Ottoman historian Dr Yakoob Ahmed. His speciality. The last triue Sultan was much maligned by the Atattirk regime. He reduced the debt considerably and improved much within the Empire and many of his far sighted projects were brought into being by Erdoğan. So trying to do my small part to open eyes to his incredible 30 yr reign and horrible treatment of the Sultan and family during exile. There are evidences that in contrast to his western and turkish opponents, only 2 were executed under his watch. He preferred to exile traitors and criminals. His mercy was his end as those he sent to study in Europe to improve education and to save life, conspired to bring him down. Your brief summary was very Western. The series Abdülhamid Payithat served to correct those misrepresentations. He became a hero for many of us as last true Caliph and Sultan who sought to save the empire and Ummah from disintegration. Highly recommend Dr Yakoob's lectures available on UA-cam.

@@khizerhussain7613 that would be interesting, but there is already tons of stuff about that. Nonetheless though to see Hikma History do it would be really cool, though I think that realm of history is outside of the range of content for his channel. Believe it or not, too, at least as far as South America goes, there were some native groups that actually embraced Christianity. Not a whole lot of them though. I didn’t know that until recently.
I always understood that infidel was a term mainly used by christian writers. It became a mistranslation of the word kafer which is more adequately translated as disbeliever. Or the one who veils the truth. The concept of the infidel is one that we have mistakenly adopted from christianity.
The problem was Muslim empires were never united in Islam since the first Caliphate. Christians were more united. The most powerful Christian states got together to form the Crusaders and invaded Muslim world. If all the Muslim empires united and formed there own Crusade equivalent into Europe, it would be crushing. Muslims had biggest armies and bigger populations at the time. Reality was that muslims were not united. The muslims were first to use guns powder, hence Muslim empires were known as Gunpowder empires but they were too busy fighting amongst themselves. Europeans took advantage of this and the discovery of new lands made them rich, which in turn allowed to invest in scientific and technological advancements which then gave them an edge to once superior Dar al-Islam
You do know the crusades where a defensive wars waged to combat the Arab invaders and Turkish incursions that where taking up all the Christian lands, which why in Spain there's an event called the reconquista, where the Christians had to retake the lands that where being colonized by Arabs.
Christians were united? When Vienna was besieged in 1683, France was the most powerful nation in Europe and couldn't care less. Divided kingdoms allowed the Ottomans to encroach into Europe into the first place. A unified Christendom would never have allowed the fall of Constantinople and it was largely alone against the Muslims. When Napoleon defeated the Mamluks in Egypt, who helped kick them out? Britain.
“Christian” Europe had been beating the snot out of each other for centuries and each time each side reacted to and refined their tactics. There had been artillery and naval arms-races between all sides for generations. Different modes of recruitment and training were explored, and military doctrine was only ever as good as the last battle. The goals were also driven by Nationalism and mercantile expansion and conquest which was kinda different too, and it was becoming far more common for wars to be funded by longer term interest bearing loans rather than directly by taxes which massively impacted how well the forces could be outfitted.

For example, he executed the son of Abdul Rahman Al Jabarti after al Jabarti refused to write a book praising him. He also executed hundreds in Syria, Palestine and Sudan. 15:38 not really an independent economy because he took expensive loans from the french and british which his sons were not able to pay back, resulting in the british occupation of egypt 40:44 yes, and the Ottomans did not help change their negative image with the Arabs when Muhammad Ali Pasha invaded Najd and masscared hundreds of people. He also looted thousands of Arabian horses and took them to Egypt. He stole many horses taht his grandson Abbas helmy I later wrote an enclyopedia on arabian horse breeds. In addition to this, Muhammad Ali Pasha also removed the popular ottoman governor of Hejaz known as Ghalib ibn Musa'id and replaced him with a puppet. 52:52 Sayyed Ahmad Khan represented only 1 school of thought during this period. The other reaction to the 1857 revolt was from the Deobandis, who established the Darul uloom deoband in 1858. They called on indian muslims to continue their fight against the british both intellectually and through arms. The deobandis even led a guerilla war against the british raj, led by shaykh Mahmud Hasan Deobandi, who was eventually captured and exiled by the british.
Got any sources for Muhammad Ali taking massive European loans? Everything I've read suggested otherwise, identifying his grandchildren as the culprits of that.
Personally I think the reason why Muslim societies are "worst" than Western societies is that their land sucks. A successful society needs a stable source of water and food and the geography of the Muslim countries makes this very difficult. The hot, dry land combined with many deserts condemns to water scarcity which also exacerbates their food production when combined with their lack of arable land. A stable food supply and water supply is literally the most basic requirements of a successful and stable society and their geography prevents them from having this.
It's not the worst take in the world but I don't agree man. Ok it might not be as fertile and water-rich as Europe but Muslim land ain't that bad. Let's not forget some of the world's greatest civilisation were born in these lands. Civilisation is supposed to have first flourished in the Middle East. Fertile Crescent. Nile. Tigris & Euphrates. Indus. I don't doubt that your point made some impact on it but I don't think it's even close to the biggest reason.

This is what GPT estimates So in which world some percentage of losers who migrated to west is their descendants even if they were how is that relevant here Nobody's son represents what their father believe Its like saying you are what your father were No where Many western leaders sons never become leaders themselves to the level of their father and faded into obscurity
Everyone is migrating to the West European countries 🤣. Largest immigrants are non Muslim Chinese and Indians. 🙏 Both of these cultures have strong anti-West philosophies not too different from the anti-West Muslim philosophies. However Chinese and Indian immigrants are more inclined to ditch such negative beliefs after settling down in their new homelands.
I wonder why, cuz they feel the negative impacts of imperialism today and how it still continues. When you destabilize a region and proclaim yourself with the lie of a "bastion of freedom and wealth" it's going to be desirable to people. Who would've thought that people care about their families and want the best for them!?!?!
Why not migrating? The western population are enslaved by their hidden kings who hate them and they make wars on our lands so we came on your lands and many more will follow .
Everything is cause and effect. If you enslave people, someone is going to enslave you. European colonialism is what some people deserve because as bad as the Europeans were and are, they outlawed slavery. Even in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 during WWII.
European imperialism did not start as European but as Catholic Christian in the 15th century based on the Doctrine of Discovery of the Spanish Catholic Church which states that "no non-Christian has the right to property unless he converts to Christianity". so the colonial armies (in Portuguese, Christopher COLUMBUS is pronounced Cristobal COLON or COLONNE hence "colonialism") were accompanied by missionaries in case the indigenous populations agreed to convert to Christianity to keep their properties. you understand why there are more Christians in the World than other faiths: it was not the work of Christians from the Middle East, from the first churches. it was colonization, dispossession, hoarding, theft and things of that kind. it was something other than imperialism and it was fundamentally material. Spain paved the way for other European powers who mastered the art of maritime navigation - they were called Thalassocracies -: Portugal, France, England, Holland and this is how churches appeared all over the world.
I don't think you can take Christian ways of governing and apply them to Islamic society and assume they will work the same. Different peoples have different ways of doing things. Democracy is not compatible with Islam. Muslims don't like partisanship and are not in need of political parties because we share one religion that unifies everyone. A much better form of government for Muslims is an absolute monarchy guided by the Ulama similar how Saudi Arabia is ran today. The best and most ideal would be an imamate similar to how the caliphate was ran with the most knowledgeable Islamic scholar elected by the ulama to be the head of state just like Abu Bakr and Umar were elected. Also instead of using the term "secular sciences" why not use a term like the study of Allah's creation. Language matters don't let them own science as if it were their exclusive domain.
It would have been seen today that lol, just Islam left behind civilization and knowledge, as seen in Spain's marvelous Andalusian architecture. Today, Spain benefits from that legacy and attracts tourists. Admitting the truth is a sign of masculinity, my buddy.

The Islamic Empire Collapsed because the Islamic Empire became arrogant and not humble. Due to their military might, scientific advancements, medical achievements and philosophical understanding the Islamic Empire spread quickly and took large amounts of territory quickly. They carried the West through their 1000 years Dark Age. But this blessing from Allah which brought from Allah vast wealth, power, might, worldly knowledge and influence made the Muslim Empires eventually become arrogant. This arrogance made them eventually overlook military, economic, scientific and technological improvement and advancements. This allowed the Western countries catch up to the Islamic Empires and then eventually surpass the Islamic Empires. Leading to great military loses, the conqueroring of Muslim lands and eventually colonisation/collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The decline of the Muslim Empire and our current state is due to too many Muslims misunderstanding that we do not need Western Philosophies/Ideologies/World Views but we do need to become once again militarily, scientifically and technologically advance and copy Western improvements in this areas then build upon them. We need to free ourselves from a inferior complex which has lead many to mix Islam with Western Modernity Ideologies (Marxism, Liberalism, Feminism, Conservatism, Secularism etc.) while still lacking in scientific, technological and military improvements and advancements. We must go back are own Islamic Philosophy/World View/Ideology centred on Tawheed free from the Western Secular centred Individualism, starting with the gradual implementation of the Shariah through the Muslim lands turning back the autocratic, totalitarian Western influenced liberal rule. However we must quickly embrace Western Modernity in terms of science, technology and military advancements. The prophet Mohammed and the early Muslims kept Islam at its core but took on and built on the knowledge and great achievements of the ancient Greece, ancient Roman, Persian Empire, Indian dynasties, and Chinese dynasties. This fusion of Islam free from Western Modernity Secularism but embracing non-Muslim technology, non-Muslim wordly knowledge and scientific even architectural advancements/improvements. This made them successful until arrogance made them turn away from this formula. Instead they eventually embraced technological stagnation and poor practice of Islam eventually leading to substandard scientific, technological, military improvements and a full blown embrace of Western Mordenity Ideologies founded upon Secularism. Oh Allah guide us to pure Islam upon Tawheed and free from Bidah and help us to become leaders in science, medicine, business, technology, education and military training. Ameen.

No they were not, the people getting invaded (the byzantines) did not ask for a crusade they only asked for reinforcement and the last time the Muslims ever invaded Europe was centuries before @@54032Zepol

The deobandis even led a guerilla war against the british raj, led by shaykh Mahmud Hasan Deobandi, who was eventually captured and exiled by the british.

If your theory is true then it can't explain why the Muslim countries were able to keep up with the west up until the late 1600s-early 1700s.

Ameen.
??? You're talking like an insane supremacist. If both the west and Islamic nations had times of great prosperity and wealth, then that means the cause of such a situation IS NOT Islam.
The REAL cause of such a situation is the fundamental principle of POSITIVITY. Positivity is the core of goodness, so it's no surprise that when peopel pursue positivity they obtain good things like wealth and floursihment.
ISlam is NOT the answer. The answer is Enlightenment. Enlightenment is the knowledge of positivity. It was because the west gained Enlightenment why they were able to achieve vast moral and mechanical knowledge. Your mind is too indoctrinated with Islam that you fail to see the simplest, most cuasal answer to what makes a nation prosperous. That answer is Positivity, and when you pursue positivity you go away from Islam and move towards Enlightenment.
