As someone who has lived pretty much their whole childhood in the city of Turnov which is nearby the ruins of Trosky Im actually quite surprised you've visited this seemingly random castle ruin in Czechia. Thanks for sharing, interesting fun fact indeed ^^
I was at Malešov (one of the castles in the trailer) several times because the Czech Witcher fan community used to organize photoshoots for The Witcher cosplayers there every year and I have a costume of An Craite warrior so I was invated there in 2019 for the first time.
The most shocking thing to me was when they said it was coming out this year. I love it when games are announced the same year they're released.

@@slinkywheel7535 I think they meant when, for example, Bethesda announced Skyrim and Fallout 4 the same year they released. You're definitely right about newer Bethesda, though. I can't believe it is almost 6 years since they announced TES6 and it still has no gameplay trailers or other news. It probably won't release until at least next year, probably 2026.

It's nice to see that Poles love KCD while we Czechs love The Witcher 🙂 I want to visit Trosky, Malešov, Kutná Hora and Bohemian Paradise as well this year and hopefully make videos about the locations their history and some local legends.

I live in Prague czechia and i was there to visit the places from KCD 1 its about 1 hour drive (or about 3 days on horse with hans) and i was actually able to walk around only from the stuff i know from game its actually really similar 😀 even pubs and other places are on the same place as they are in the game
I passed the speech check in the Father Godwin Quest. Fuck!
On my current playthrough I (intentionally) used charisma to persuade him. I missed out on fun times, but at least I'll get the Virgin achievement!

Yeah, my first two playthrough did. Next playthrough i deliberately didnt train my speech and was filthy and clothe poorly.

I got 99 problems and 5 directional swings aren’t one, hope that it’s not to simplified!
Its a bit difficult to choose exactly way you want on joystick and you need to get used to it at consoles so thats maybe why, it should be easier for new players or not very clever olayers😂 At first we all had some problems dto handle it correctly but when you learn i dont know how 4 ways system would be😅
I am really worried this will ruin the combat for me. Hopefully it's possible for a modder to restore the combat from the original in the event it is no fun.
directional swinging barely even mattered lets be honest, except for feints, which the AI tend to ignore. i enjoy this games combat but holy shit its so fundamentally broken. devs need to take a few more cues from mordhau, sekiro, chivalry. those games deliver actual depth rather than the illusion of it. even mount and blade has more consistent combat than this game. we should be able to attack from any direction but im hoping a choice like that is for the good of the overall combat system, which in the first game only exists as a shadow of what it could be.
@@vain.a2 yeah realistically it was more of a choice between 2, maybe 3 directions depending on the situation, and often times it didn't matter at all which direction you swing from. especially since the only time it matters which direction you hit from is also the only time you're forced to use only one direction, and it's in the only boss fight in the entire game, where runt has massive armor stats but no helmet at all (unless you play in hardcore). also the system of combos being tied to direction took all the depth out of directional combat anyway, since you were just doing stuff in the same sequence. i honestly still like the combat in KCD1, at least when it's a one-on-one since group fights are a huge mess in that game, but I don't think I'll miss the extra swing direction. especially since slashing gets a lot more love in that system than stabbing, but you wouldn't be slashing at a fully armored knight anyway, you'd be trying to poke at him to get your sword into a gap, which is why swords fell out of favor anyway.

I heard a theory from another youtuber that he thinks henry gets shot with a crossbow thinking about the line Martin says to him in Skalitz, and Im thinking then him an Hanz are taken to somewhere and they break out but Henry needs to recover for abit and thats why his skills get bad
I’m so happy that they’re taking an entire year out to optimise and fix glitches/bugs. That’s how every game studio should do it
With choices in KCD 1 they can do the same as with negative perks in hardcore mode. That is, at the beginning of the game we will be asked questions about how Henry acted in the first part. For example, what kind of relationship do Teresa and I have, etc.
Just one comment about Henry's Skill reset. It may not be a FULL reset, but quite a deep debuff. So he will probably be ambushed, and gravely wounded and that will be a skill reset. Quite hard to fight if you suffer some deep wounds. All I want is a competent Henry from the start. So you don't have to spend 20 hours learning swordplay, reading, stealing, sweetalking, or anything like that.
Just give us a Competent Henry goddammit!!!!!!
He will not have to relearn reading or basic combat.

Honestly my biggest hope for this game, besides the story, is that they smoothed out the combat and made it so that fighting multiple enemies at once isn’t genuinely headache inducing like it was in the first game
that ruins the realism, kingdome come is very realistic and fighting 1 guy alone is hard let alone more than 1.
@@jmgonzales7701 Fighting more than 1 person should definitely be very hard, but in KCD1 it's hard for the wrong reasons. For instance, it's not that you get overpowered, but rather, the auto-lock wouldn't lock on to the correct enemy unless you turn your back to the battle to reset it. That's anything but "realistic" combat.
@@jmgonzales7701 yes i agree that fighting multiple enemies should be difficult, but the way it was done in KCD1 was so janky and awful to play because the lock on system simply wasn’t designed to be able to handle anything other than a duel. There’s ways to make things both challenging and fun at the same time, and KCD1 multiple enemy combat was just one of those things unfortunately.

I'm imagining the two kinds of crossbows they are referring to are simple pull-back models, in which you can pull the bow back with just your hands (still more powerful than longbows at close range due to the stiffness of crossbow limbs) and goat's foot crossbows, which use a mechanical aide to multiply the force of the hand using a lever, thus allowing even stiffer limbs. There are also windlass crossbows, which use a winding winch to reload, but those are really only useful in sieges.
i hope this leads to mods where u can have colonial age soldiers with muskets
Story sounds interesting and all gameplay systems feel like I never wanna play KCD1 again because of the amount of high quality improvements

@@jmgonzales7701 Since KCD1 I've wanted to see them do a game in the same immersive and realistic style but in a setting like ancient Greece, Egypt, Rome or somewhere in Asia. While I'm excited for KCD2 and happy they go to fulfill their vision I'd like to see the same treatment to another setting
@@noamias4897 a realistic first person RPG set in ancient rome would be so cool. I don't think there's been one yet honestly, all of the games set in that period tend to be strategy games.

There was one question that was asked that you didn't cover in this video and it's absolutely essential to KCD2. When it comes to clothing and Armor in KCD2 Wich as we all know you can put clothes and armor on Henry in layers. Now with that the Armor and Clothing in the game will now have WEAR AND TEAR that you can see which again will have a positive or negative effect on Henry. Just like with weapons. Hope this was info useful to you guys have a blesseded day gentlemen

I mean, one way we could explain Henry's Chadification in the sequel is that's supposed to be his appearance throughout and at the end of our playthrough in the first game. As we increase his strength and abilities, his appearance is also bound to change, we just didn't have the feature of him actually growing or changing appearance aside from the usual haircut and beard growth styling.

These days I live close to Trosky and as I travel to my parents home, I ride around it. I have to admit - its brilliant to see how castle actually looked in the medieval times (now its just a bunch of trees and 2 towers pointing out of volcanic rock)

2:00 Trosky castle is amazing place, its still relatively perserved and is visible today from long distance. The area around is amating too- its natural perserve due to its beautiful rock formations on large areas (called rock cities)
I HOPE there's a hardcore mode again, hands down my favourite way to play the first

i'm guessing that after the injury which resets Henry back to a weakling. That Han's calls on Theresa to play nursemaid while he recovers. Then with her via dialog new players can get caught up on the events of Kingdome Come 1 and establish if they're in a relationship.
Hope they continue the story between the two, I loved their dynamic in the first game
Fucking hell it's so well designed I feel like during the swimming cutscene I am standing there and I know it because I was swimming there too on a bike trip! On the same exact spot surrounded by the same bushes lol :-D Feels weird.

This seems like a good time to boot up that first Royal Edition and play through it for the first time. I can't help myself and do feel a bit hype and sorta curse myself for not getting around to the first one sooner.
Since Theresa is such a big character in KCD 1, and they're not willing to say anything about her, it makes me believe that she will be an important character within the story in KCD2, but they're not willing to spoil it
I absolutely LOVED the story dynamic between Henry & Theresa in KCD: 1. I hope they build upon it more but time shall tell
She definitely won'T be. She was "important" in the tutorial, and after that, she was a minor character with one or two side quests. She obviously won't be in kcd2, she has a new life, and a pretty average/boring one, being far away from henry who has different obligations and a different circle of people. Sorry, but there is just no way for Theresa to be even mentioned.
@@Guzioo I disagree, we got an entire DLC about her and the choices she made leading up to seeking refuge in Rattay. The relationship between her and Henry is deeply intertwined in the bones of the story, if it werent for his intervention she'd be dead or worse and vice versa, she saved Henry's life in the ruins of Skalitz. I wouldn't be surprised if we see her come up or recieve mention in the 2nd installment and I'd be thrilled to see where they go with it.

I’m very cautiously excited for this. The first game had a heck of a break in period where they had to work on streamlining code for performance and getting rid of bugs. So I’m probably gonna hold off a few months on release.

What? Not only was KCD1 their first game with like 25 people, while they had no money at all and needed a kickstarter etc. but they literally said that KCD2 is finished and they are working only on fixing bugs and the like, which they already have in control. That is why they also release it in a few months. They have the experience from the first game which uses the same engine, detaiils and more, and have like 250 people working on it.

Also I’m very happy to hear how proud Warhorse is of the sequel. I truly hope they succeed immensely with this title, because if they do well enough, I would love to see someday a crusades era game that isn’t grand strategy but an rpg, and Warhorse would be the perfect studio to tackle such a game. Been thinking about Warhorse recently with all the Baldwin IV memes

You know if it were an option you wouldn't even know because it would be like the drunk scene with the priest. You'd have to really put in the effort. Unlike BG3 where they're just all over you. I also like the idea that if people found out Henry would be killed or literally branded on the face as a sodomite. Could lead to very interesting reactions.

When it comes to level resets I think Henry's progress as a fighter and a educated man will be explained by the improved combat system and hopefully expansions to those systems. I doubt we will be unable to properly swing a sword and counter. We will just see those weapon categories expanded with german Zweihanders for swords,flails for maces ect. With other systems instead of just learning to read we will be learning new languages like complete Latin,Italian,polish, and maybe hungarian. We could see the option to go on real royal hunts,Obviously with the ranged skill we will be seeing henry needing to properly learn how to handle a crossbow and the boom sticks.
The entirety of Rattay is essentially just a street in Rattay, too.

I must say, Warhorse were quiet for a very long time and I got worried maybe things were done. But this is the way to do it, announce the game when its in a near final shape, and release within the year
I'll be entering every single giveaway for this game that comes my way when the release is close, With no Localized prices in my country it's a huge struggle. I managed to experience the first one this week by getting it for 3 bucks, amazing game. Wish I could repurchase it full price but sadly the whole "no localized prices" here hurts, as spending half the paycheck for a game is simply crazy.
If the cost is that high, why not just pirate it that point? I understand wanting to support the studio (I will be preordering KCD2 after pirating the first) but it's not like your 3 bucks moved the needle for warhorse. One extra sale (esp. heavily discounted) is a rounding error for practically all studios, why make yourself suffer over it?

I will try to move on to pc hopefully if I manage when the next gen of consoles are annonced in a few years). Gamepass been the only thing helping me with trying new games. But as I assume you know, no pirating for Xbox. Hopefully if I manage to win a giveaway (altho the chances are extremly slim) I'll get to play the second :)
