ikr. The Defendant repeatedly demonstrates he is a complete fool. And yet, like so many fools, when asked directly by JJ, he believes he is intelligent. What a world.
The explanation can be misleading. The plaintiff is the one who had the financial hardship. The defendant didn't have to have bad credit for the bank to say, "no, we will not finance this old car that already has a loan". He could have possibly been approved for something else, but the goal was to help the plaintiff out of his payments. It's not like the plaintiff cosigned for the defendant. That would suggest he had credit issues.
His credit didn't have to be bad. The bank the defendant used wasn't interested in paying for the plaintiff's loan. Trust me, the plaintiff tried this because he knew the defendant had the money.
Keep in mind he’s older here plus his wife was probably having her health issues in these later seasons. There’s a recent video of an interview with Byrd and he’s more jovial than what we’ve seen of his demeanor in the later seasons of the show.
Judge Judy got me through labor 🤣🤣 watched her on my phone until my son was born at 2 am 🤣🫶🏻 next baby due next month and I’m sure I’ll be watching more!
a friend of mine does auto loans he says people buy well beyond their means of what they can afford than charge up new rims tires and stereo and get the car repossessed
Those are the types I love. Well spoken professional and cute woman who happens to be Black. Can we please make them in style instead of stupid rappers?
There’s no way I’d take over someone’s debt or pass on my debt to someone else with the intention that everything is going to be all hunky dory, especially if they have credit issues I wouldn’t do that for a family member of mine unless I knew every little detail about the debt and there financial situation.
What the guy did is called an in-house finance and it's when a dealership usually a used car dealership will personally loan you the car and set up a payment plan monthly with the buyer usually you would need a large deposit to be considered and the owner of the dealership would have to agree because usually they get paid in full once a bank takes on your loan most places will not do this because once you finance or lease a vehicle the bank pays in full for that contract to the dealership right away Most dealers do not like to wait for their money button any regard make sure that you have a well-written contract if you ever decide to go this route
Not a cook but trying- noodles. Then red and yellow pepper, garlic, fresh basil, scallions and green onion…. Over fettuccine. I’m doing this as opposed to house chores….ugh. House smells good. It’s called avoidance. But my body will be happy😂❤
I don't like either party. The defendant has no case for the overpayment. The plaintiff made a huge mistake showing those damaged rims IF the car was returned with new rims. If the dealership charged him for some kind of inferior rims or something, that bill would be evidence. Just like it would be silly to show a busted tail light if it had been fixed and back to good working condition before the vehicle was surrendered.
Actually taking over someones payments isnt a bad idea..the mistake was the defendant not knowing the balance and doing this with an old car with no warranty. He shouldn't have just left it at the dealership. Its honestly no different than leasing a car or sub-leasing an apartment. The ownership is still with the finance company.
Some people’s note are primarily interest because of their crappy credit. I had a cousin who was paying more per month for an old clunker than I was paying for a brand new car.
Judge Judy said nice car. Sorry, not in this case. A used BMW is a pile of junk and a will take you to the cleaner's much quicker than your estranged marriage partner ever could.
He’s passive-aggressive and two-faced. He’s an asshole to someone who entered in a contract with him and thinks being fake-polite will get him his countersuit.
Letting someone make your payments and drive a car that is still in your name is always a stupid decision.
Especially if their credit is bad
@@harmonyzit didn't necessarily mean his credit was bad. The bank wasn't going to finance a car that old most likely. It already had a lien as well.
I am addicted to Judge Judy. Please send help.

Help is coming with Part 2. 😍
Not, just you 😢
Yes, I find her show very relaxing and educational.😊
No help here- we are all jj addicts!
The most polite defendant ever.
Bad credit. Yet buys an expensive car.
ikr. The Defendant repeatedly demonstrates he is a complete fool. And yet, like so many fools, when asked directly by JJ, he believes he is intelligent. What a world.
The American way!
Which is why his credit continues to be bad😮
Expensive to maintain too.

He could have possibly been approved for something else, but the goal was to help the plaintiff out of his payments. It's not like the plaintiff cosigned for the defendant. I love judge Judy’s pure logic.
I’ve learned actual life lessons from J.J
Oh, me too! Especially the, “Clean Hands Doctrine”.
Bad credit but willing to pay for a BMW car payments from a friend and not knowing the balance owed on the car.
His credit didn't have to be bad. The bank the defendant used wasn't interested in paying for the plaintiff's loan. Trust me, the plaintiff tried this because he knew the defendant had the money.
Bad credit but he has to pretend with an expensive car.
The jealousy and projection is crazy

@Lenasevilla-yb4ei Jealous of what? Someone that can't even get a car in their own name?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Paying almost 500$ a month on a bmw that’s 10 years old is dumb….
Considering the average payment on a new car is now around $750+, and this was a few years ago, he may as well had gotten a new car at that cost.
That's why the defendant couldn't get it financed, not necessarily because his credit was bad.
exactly i gasped when i heard it was a 2008 for $400 a month…😅
Always nice when Officer Bryd gets a little exercise! 🙂
Keep in mind he’s older here plus his wife was probably having her health issues in these later seasons.

Taking over a car loan is ridiculous IMHO.
They do it for houses
I would only consider it if the person was a relative who’d died.
a friend of mine does auto loans he says people buy well beyond their means of what they can afford than charge up new rims tires and stereo and get the car repossessed
Living a life they want to live without making sure the checkbook matches. Sounds about right.
At least both parties are calm, polite and able to speak clearly and well.

No money but buys a BMW. He is not an intelligent person.
Hello lunch crew for Niagara, Canada. Hope everyone is having a great day😊

JJ: *not caring at all* So, it was an expensive car then...
defendant doesn't have two nickels to rub together but wants to drive a luxury car he can't even afford to service
Bro….a $460 car payment for a 2008 car…I don’t care if it’s a BMW you mighty crazy with them payments
An old expensive car is never an "opportunity"
Why are people not understanding that there's a reason why those with bad credit don't get loans???
