The key magnet for people to migrate illegally is JOBS! If you really want to stop illegal immigration go after the individuals and companies who hire them. Employers should bear the burden of proof that they are hiring people in the United States authorized to work by checking their status with Citizens and Immigration Services. There is NO way around it. Everybody vilifies illegal immigrants, but employers hardly face any consequences! Again, just like in the “war on drugs” you can not just focus on the supply side, you have to reduce the demand.
100 percent agree! The problem is those same companies have lobbyist in government who will just push for the creation of a new visa program to allow these companies to profit from illegal immigrants. There is already talk of a special visa to allow illegal immigrants for critical services such as food processing, shelter creation and sanitation services.
You're talking about corporations such as Kroger, Walmart, HEB, ect. No one in Washington will stop these companies. They are lining the politicians' pockets as we speak.

America's overall population is aging and migrants are the one of the few ways that America is adding population because the birth rates of American citizens is below replacement rates.
The chart at 0:22 is misleading. While it shows the U.S. has more migrants in total, it overlooks population size. For instance, Saudi Arabia's 13.5 million migrants make up nearly 40% of its population, and Germany's 15.8 million migrants constitute nearly 20%. In contrast, the U.S.'s 50.6 million migrants are only around 15% of its population.
What was the point of the chart? To show the population of migrants per country? Or per country per percentage of the whole population? It’s not necessarily misleading. It’s separate from the other data presented before it, which mentions illegal immigrants as a percentage of the total population

How did we survive 4 years ago before 13 million people came in illegally?..... That's nonsense propaganda put out by businesses looking for cheap labor
The United States is undeniably one of the hardest and most mentally exhausting countries to immigrate to legally. Nearly everyone navigating the legal immigration process endures years of bureaucracy, uncertainty, and waiting. Even obtaining a visa, which is already a significant hurdle, offers no guarantee of eventually securing a green card. Legal immigrants face immense mental and physical stress, often dedicating years of their lives to what is framed as the "privilege" of living in America and becoming an American.Meanwhile, you see undocumented immigrants simply walking through the border without consequence and living in the U.S. with no problems. It’s simply unfair-like the U.S. government looking a legal immigrant in the face and spitting in it.
Just because someone stood in a long line to get visa and green card does not make them more worthy of living here than illegal migrants who have the same objective. I agree that laws must be followed but doing this legally and waiting many years is choice we make when we apply for visa. Everybody knows the rules and the time it will take so no need to feel superior to others.

Your argument is good but it clearly emphasizes certain words that can make the average reader confused
You need a civic lesson. The correct term is undocumented immigrants not illegal immigrants. If you ever got a speeding ticket, you committed a misdemeanor thereby your terms you’re also an illegal criminal because that’s what an undocumented immigrant has committed, a misdemeanor. By the way, these immigrants are asylum seekers which is not illegal. I never believed in open borders. What Reagan did, forgiving millions of illegal immigrants, making them legal was wrong because it just encouraged the behavior and created a bigger problem, created an indentured servitude in this country for the oligarchs in this country. There was a correct way to bring immigrants to work the fields, the meat packing plants and hospitality jobs, which American workers refuse to do. That’s the H2a, H2B visas. They work for period of time, pay their taxes and go home. However, the Oligarchs would have to pay legal wages which they’re too greedy to do.

The key magnet for people to migrate illegally is JOBS! If you really want to stop illegal immigration go after the individuals and companies who hire them. There is NO way around it. Everybody vilifies illegal immigrants, but employers hardly face any consequences! The problem is those same companies have lobbyist in government who will just push for the creation of a new visa program to allow these companies to profit from illegal immigrants.

People want more than just having kids and starting families when they know more, because they want more personally. It’s universal across all countries and cultures. The only way you’ll get back to higher birthrates in a developed country is being making its population less developed: forcefully cut off access to higher education by law & promote people to want less for themselves both personally and materially.

Thank goodness that the USA isn't the only nation on this planet. There are 194 other nations in the world. If immigration to the USA is so hard, then look somewhere else.

By the way, these immigrants are asylum seekers which is not illegal. I never believed in open borders. At the restaurant I once worked, illegal workers were making much more than me and were getting as twice as many hours because the employer didn't have to keep them below 40 hors to avoid paying them benefits, so they were making much more than me and were much likely to buy a house than their legal peers. I couldn't even afford a car with that job while all of them could.
You not make no sense. You ancient Chinese bot?
@@agexienmaybe it’s not the illegal immigrants you should be blaming but rather the exploitative system of capitalism where businesses would much rather pay a lower wage (including the lack of benefits they don’t pay like you said) to people they are able to exploit. immigrants aren’t to blame for you not being able to own a house, capitalism is at fault
@@agexien Do you know what would fix that? Making illegal immigrants that are actually working legal, and then enforcing labor laws to make sure small businesses are paying EVERYONE on the books. Illegal immigrants also tend to cram into apartments to save money, which might also be how they save money.
@@spaghettipaint3810 No, workers are at fault. If you don't like what you're being paid, go somewhere else. If a business owner isn't paying enough to keep employees, he'll either have to pay them more or go out of business. Capitalism is humanity's greatest invention and built all of civilization.
Some of the arguments in the support of illegal immigration is that they work in agriculture, so if they are deported prices will go up bad for economy,,etc are illogical. If UsA really needs labor in these area and not find in US then create a special visa for agriculture labor and hore formally. Having them illegally actually benefit the landlords and corporations that hire them for cheap. They are not getting insurance and not paying taxes in doing so. Govt is also not getting taxes for them because they cant officially have ssn or itin. If labor shortage is the concern get them through visa program

Its blue cities who are being crushed right now. Look at how much NYC is paying to house illegal migrants. That's money that could be spent on schools, or other services for legal residents.
