Wondering if you can help me. I'm relatively new to the laundromat business and still VERY MUCH learning how to diagnose and fix my equipment. I have 2 Speed Queen single pocket (circa 1982) dryers 30WG that want to tumble when empty but NOT when there are clothes in them. I looked in back of the dryer and both the chain and the belt "LOOK" ok. What could be the problem and how would I fix it?
Christi- Chances are the plastic sprocket is cracked so it "opens" when there is a load in the dryer so the motor , chain and sprocket turn but not the drum. You can email me at Ken@LaundromatHowTo.com or Ken@KbarInc.com and I can answer a little sooner.
