Being from Liverpool...love that I’m listening to a scoucer ...living in Scottsdale and Chicago for the past 40 years....and loving Rolex....I am looking for this watch. That’s one beautiful watch !
I consider myself lucky to have gotten my hands on one two summers ago. I was told it would be at least a year long wait. I received a call about three weeks after putting my name on the list to pick it up. I can't believe that you had to purchase a different watch just to have the opportunity to get the one you really want. It IS a beautiful watch and absolutely love mine. Congrats!!
I was offered one a few years which “Customer had cancelled”, but back then it seemed a lot of money so I let it slip, completely underestimating the demand. I kind of understand the purchase of one before this, as there is no other way to get through the demand. Also ADs are sent their inventory, to get their tool watches they have to take on so many non tool watches which are difficult to shift... Congratulations on getting it at the right time!
Totally agree, non watch people won’t appreciate the beauty of a Pepsi but will always appreciate this piece... definitely one for watch and non-watch lovers
I got lucky. I bought myself a datejust 41 everrose for Christmas, and a week ago I got the call for the root beer. I was going to sell, but I feel in love with it.
I have been wearing a two-tone Datejust and Explorer for a few years, and have been on the list with my dealer for the SS/RG Root Beer, Batman and Pepsi (to get just one of the three of course). I just got the call from my dealer today that they have a CHNR ready for me to pick up. But I can't decide whether to take the CHNR now or wait some more and hope to eventually get either Batman or Pepsi. We know how backed up Rolex production is these days. Of course, I love the look of the CHNR, but the Batman/Pepsi might be better for day-to-day use (and I do have the Datejust and Explorer already). Help me decide!
If I’m honest I feel if you hesitate/pass on the CHNR they may not call you for a Batman or Pepsi....from my experience the Datejust is the first buy and CHNR is the second setting you up for the third... this is what increases your spend history with them. It’s like the Daytona I could have brought the initial Datejust and waited 15 years for the call for the Daytona and pass on every model offered between then, in which case I know they would never offer the Daytona to me. They only offer the Daytona to the people to finish off the whole collection they have accumulated. Every dealer may be different but this is my understanding...
