Thanks for this informative video! It almost seems impossible to move to Singapore for a white collar employee (minus having a managerial or executive role). The education requirement is kind of insane - top 100 schools only. The requirements are tough. It's rare to have a job that opens an office in a whole different country. I'm glad you were one of the lucky ones! It's a dream of mine to leave the U.S and start anew in a different country like Singapore. If not Singapore, anywhere else besides here.
Wish I had this video back when I moved! I applied for Tech.pass and then PEP as a foreigner. I thought I met the requirements, but ultimately was rejected. This took several months with appeals, and you can't apply for more than one visa at a time. I ended up moving on an E.P., which was very fast / straightforward. Good luck everyone! Be patient, it may take a while.
Okay. I won't try to work in SG because I don't match the requirements. I can stay 90 days maximum so, I'll enjoy vacations from time to time. Social workers aren't paid 5000 dollars a month. In France, I'm considered well-paid because I have 2400 euros per month. I had jobs where I was paid 1300 euros / 1600 euros. Thank you for the information 🎉🎉
Your video should be a MUST WATCH for all of the posters on the askSingapore subreddit who post daily with the same lame questions about how to get a job in Singapore.
Hey thanks this has been real informative! Been considering moving to Singapore since it seems like the govt is heading to become the carbon market trade central for Asia Pacific there. But haven't come across anyone who mentioned carbon projects as a criteria for employment visas there. Would you say that's a hot industry that will be expanding in Singapore for the next 3 years? I'm really curious, thanks!
Glad you found this helpful! Carbon is an industry that is growing and in demand but not necessarily a "criteria" more that due to the demand, it's more likely foreigners can get visas for those jobs
Hi Happy Hapa, big fan of how informative and to the point you are. Me and my partner are moving to Singapore next month from the UK. I've got a job lined up thankfully, but she is struggling massively due to the strict work permit criterias. These job sites are not the most user friendly because there isn't a a way you can "filter" jobs which would theoretically sponsor a work permit for you, so very frustrating. Do you have any tips for this or even know of any relevant job opportunities? She is a chartered accountant with 3 years experience. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching! And an early welcome to Singapore. I know a few expats in that situation who found jobs only after spending some time in Singapore networking in person and attending events so that may be the best route for your partner to take

Could you have earned more had you chosen to work in US? Most of the U graduates can make $5000 or more per month in Singapore.
