@@beloved1008 can this archetype be created with a child being very caring for a parent and the parent never gets better. Thus the child uses a lot of energy to make them happy everyday and eventually break themselves into this?
It’s difficult to comment on general circumstances because every case is unique. However the parentalization of children is well documented. This can happen when the overwhelm of caring for a child who’s needs are so present activates the parents unrecognized and untended wound from their own childhood leaving them less able to care for their own child. The child may then learn to attune to their parents needs to keep them happy and or avoid feeling rejected. In this archetype the parent would be in the victim polarity and the child thrown into the carer role which ultimately could later in life manifest as the savior polarity as described in this video. Your discussion on the symbolism of the crucifixion is wonderful! It coincides with the question that's risen in my mind recently -which is WHY is the crucifixion given prime importance over the resurrection? Perhaps not theologically, but definitely culturally. For example how many images do you see of the resurrected Christ compared to images of his suffering on the cross? It seems psychologically unhealthy to me. Also thanks for reminding us of Christ's " Descent into hell". I've never heard this discussed before even though we are told " He descended into hell and on the third day ascended into heaven".

Granted, that sentence may be misleading, but to highlight one statement out of context and arrive at the perspective of toxic positivity is disappointing, especially considering the care we put into creating a balanced and compassionate approach to such a sensitive subject. Our intention isn't toxic positivity but to provide a glimmer of hope, no matter how debilitating any illness is. What's the alternative? To write people off as beyond hope? thoughts It should not go without mention that Jung rejects the churches doctrine of privotio boni (the insubstantiality of evil) and considers it a fallacy of begging the question. After finishing the video, the presented narrative seems ambiguous in this regard and provides an affirmation of the claim initially projected to critique over identification with the archetype in question. This attempt is done so, imo, by identifying with a ‘collective’ that is categorically capable of containing the desires that we reject in ourselves yet still remain driven to idealize and uphold.
Thank you for your thoughts and for taking the time to share them in detail. This is the kind of comment we welcome. We are aware of Jung’s exploration of evil through his discussions about the Book of Job. In making these videos we have to make a choice about what to focus on. We could focus on a more metaphysical discussion of what is God including whether evil is an expression of it or not. That would be v interesting. However we feel at this time a better use of our time is to provide observations about how archetypes are revealed within psychological and social constructs to help people see for themselves where they may have been captured by an archetypes shadow polarities. To your point about being ambiguous about the nature of evil we hope to explore that on a later video but hope the reference to Paul Lévy’s work makes clear where we stand: regardless of whether evil is part of what we call god or not it is plain to see it exists in the world and is found anywhere we see conscious or unconscious anti-life logic being promoted and or acted out. Paul Levy’s view that evil also can manifest as an insistence by those that are spiritually blind that they see things clearly is particularly interesting.
It’s very interesting that with one hand we promote how every human being is unique and then with the other we come up with ‘psychological’ catch all terms that we then apply to millions of people, so much so it becomes an archetype.. In all practical and common sense, how could any one person be so arrogant to think they can classify or define the experiences or sentiments of another human being who they have zero first hand perspective through the eyes of the other person.. It is arrogance and ignorance in l their most undeniable forms. I would be interested to see how these people would respond to equivalent ignorant judgment on their own psyche’s.. Something tells me they would be defensive, hostile and dismissive, demonstrating massive ego and god complex disorders.. Or, maybe everyone should stop judging and projecting on others and stay in their own lanes.
It's not entirely clear who or what this comment is directed toward. Us, as creators of the video? Or those in psychological/psychiatric professions who label others?

It's not an archetype. Archetypes are beyond particular identity. This is a particular identity. People misunderstand Jung as much if not more than they misunderstood Freud.
No doubt you are 100% correct. The feeling we are all desperately seeking blossoms inside us when we're accepted as we are as we are assumed perfect. Try it. It's hope squared. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for commenting. You make a fair point. However Jung never placed a limit on how many archetypes there are or how they might manifest as his latter work shows. We could also say that the artist and mother also manifest as identities in the world for example. Our question is whether what we are exploring helps the individual to see more of the Self which is the ultimate archetype. That’s where freedom from fear and doubt truly lives. The Self is something we have pointed to in the sovereign archetype video which you may wish to view.
It seems like you haven't really identified this archetype in your life or know what it feels like. This feels like a very black and white cerebral logical point of view, and I love logical but The intuitive side is worth tapping into. Many archetypes people build their whole identity around. Identity is a social construct. Identity is part of the ego. Archetypes are forces from nature living within our psyches, Jung and Freud weren't god . They were human and imperfect. Their work is supposed to be expanded upon. If you see this as just an identity, you are not feeling into what the wounded healer is. If you think savior ,mother, helper is an identity You're coming at this in a scientific material mundane lens and that's nothing you should be shamed for. That's understandable but it's very obvious from this comment in the comment below, that many people will be expanding their ability to perceive what an archetype is. The human comes from the spiritual. People would not identify as a mother if the mother archetype wasn't behind that in some sense. The mother archetype is before human beings. These energies work at the core of us. Humans don't identify as things for no reason. And there's always a spiritual reason behind everything. I would just like to point out the nuance in this topic. Where do you think particular identities come from? You can see how someone does or does not have a healthy relationship with archetypes within them. The archetypes are pure energy, and you can see different versions of it throughout this Earth. From distorted to divine. It's okay to notice what archetypes you identify with because they are all a part of you, you can't separate yourself from any of them. Some are more prevalent than others, and noticing you identify with some does not mean that you are following an archetype and are not on You're unique soul path. In fact part of the unique soul path is radical authenticity and honesty with oneself. Being honest about the ways you limited yourself and identified with one thing or another at a point in time.
Thank you @rooboatdeer22yu51 you see the intention of this channel clearly. We are simply interested in revealing ‘some’ of the ways archetypes reveal themselves in everyday life so we can become more aware and see our own truth more clearly.
Chiron is a symbol or archetypal image of wounded healer field…many other images can represent this field….people misunderstood archetypal image and think the image is archetype…archetypal image is NOT archetypal field itself….
Schizophrenia is NOT a personality disorder. Please do not promote misinformation in your ignorance of diagnoses. You’ve obviously looked at what the DSM is, so please edit this video. You can put an asterisk at the bottom, or insert an audio fixing this falsehood. You have a good video, but I can’t support or promote it with false information.
It's a mistake which has been previously raised to our attention and noted, certainly not an attempt to promote false information. We would appreciate grace in that a complex script can come with errors, we're only human, after all. The intention of this video is compassion toward all diagnoses (whether we agree with them or not) across the spectrum of human experience. If this error can't be overlooked in favour of that, we understand, that's your personal discretion.
@@archetypesofawakening I can appreciate that mistakes happen in complex videos. I am asking for a simple edit so that those who just stumble upon your video aren’t further miscategorized or misunderstood.
As somebody with that wounded healer achetype. I do understand that suffering, what I do not understand how come people cannot like heal themselves. For example I have lived for 7 years without a gf, very isolated I quit my job that I was in for 14 years and 8 months in the same position never grew in the company I was suffering, also experiencing lots of stress and I was able to overcome all that alone without support of almoat nobody expect my family, I lacked self love for my 34 years of my life, I recognized my divine feminine and divine masculine and what self love is, what is confidence that grows out of that, I also contemplate a lot and I finally feel that am giving myself the importance to keep working on my crazy ideas. I find odd that people cannot do it on their own, are they so ignorant and weak?.
Separation from self through the experience of disconnecting from our hearts, inability to see our interconnectedness with others, and or recognize and withdraw our projections is caused by a wide and complex range of circumstances that will shape the individuals ability to heal. To measure suffering of one against another OR the ability of one to heal against another’s is not easy or probably productive. The variables that shape complex trauma are vast from trans generational trauma, birth and attachment trauma, adverse childhood experiences, cultural or economic marginalization. We can but commit firmly to our own growth and where we are invited reach out a hand to help others, meeting them where they are and doing our best to support them in taking their next step. Perhaps you are already doing this. Thank you for your kind contribution to this channel. Wishing you well.

If the initial divine inspiration is driven by ego then ____. Perhaps, perhaps not.

@@maggiethompsonundertheveil1041 It's a fair request - we've now added a disclaimer to the description of the video.
@@archetypesofawakening thank you!
