I had to do a firmware update before my speakers would connect. Got 2 for $749 each from Sweetwater. Very happy so far.
Excellent demo - thank you.
Thanks!
Perfect!
Great review. I want one.
You should!
I am having difficulty getting audio to play to the other linked Evers8 speaker. using XLR or TRS on inputs on one speaker only play to that speaker. The ONLY way that I have been able to play one source to both speakers is if I link my IPAD to one speaker with bluetooth and then link the speakers and all is well. All I am trying to do is connect my EWD wireless mic receivers to one speaker and have it play out of both. What am I missing?
You link additional speakers using the app. This is all outlined in the user manual -- for additional technical questions, please contact the manufacturer directly.
does channel 3/4 have reverb etc?
Thanks so much for you video. That's super good! But I have a question, in looking for buy 4 units. So, can I link the audio for 4? Or only for 2? Thanks.
I believe you can connect two, I don't know about four. You'd have to check the product manual or inquire with the manufacturer.
Hi, nice review video. Have you found the AFS setting effective for suppressing feedback? I'm struggling to tell if AFS is doing anything at all.
If you're not noticing any significant or immediate effect, it's likely you're not presenting the system with much of a feedback loop to suppress in the first place (which is a good thing!) We found it fairly handy, especially for certain positions with a mic out in front of the monitors.
@@performermag I can definitely create feedback. I just wasn't able to see any evidence of suppression of it. Since writing I have further tested and have found SOME evidence of suppression. On some frequencies/pitches it find and suppresses it in reasonable time (not fast but tolerable) but then it just finds more frequencies/pitches one by one, some of which it seems to really struggle to have any impact on. So anyway, I can see now that it functions, kind of, but doesn't appear to really offer a full solution and basically still means keeping the mic well out of the way of the speaker.
Bluetooth pairing seems extremely laboured and long winded. Dunno if it was how the girl did it, but it felt an age....
Hi, It is supposed to have auto feedback suppressor but mine is not doing it, not sure if there is a setting for that ?
Please note we do not manufacture or provide support for the products we review on this channel. We advise you to consult the product manual, available for free at the following link, or contact the manufacturer's customer support with any further questions. products.electrovoice.com/binary/EVERSE8_UM_en.pdf
Question: If you are in the middle of performance can you still increase the volume of mic and backtrack?
yes, of course.
Sorry. Can't see settings on the display
Do you have any idea about the foot switch? I wanted to know if it takes a certain foot switch
Yes, it takes a standard TRS foot switch for the FX controls. You can learn more in the product manual, available on the manufacturer's website: products.electrovoice.com/binary/EVERSE8_8__EDS_en.pdf
Hi! Have you checked how long it takes to fully charge an empty Everse 8 battery? Accurate to the hour and minutes. I want to compare this with my results. And while charging the speaker, which is turned off by the on/off toggle switch, the LCD display sometimes flashes, not always, but this happens. I don't understand if this should be the case or if it's abnormal.
Unfortunately we produced this video over a year ago, so it's no longer possible to conduct the test you have requested at this time. You'll need to contact Electro-Voice directly with any further technical support inquiries. We do not manufacture nor do we provide support for the products we have covered on this channel.
@@performermag Understood you. Thank you for responding
@@georgchekinoff239it takes 4 hours when speaker turned off and 6 when used i think
I just bought a pair. I can get audio music to come out both speakers as stereo. But the microphone is only coming out of the speaker the mic is plugged into. Very frustrating and disappointing. I can figure out how to fix this. Does anyone know how to get microphone to come out of both paired speakers?
I have heard that it only shares what you have on the channel 3/4.... I hope I am wrong, but this seems to be the case. It's too bad you can't just link them and everything that is in speaker #1 will sound in #2. If you find how to do it, let us know!
Use an XLR cable from one of the speakers which you have your audio inputs(mics, guitar). On that speaker use an XLR from mix out and go into input 1 or 2 of the other speaker
you should then hear vocals out of both speakers
I'm going to say right off the bat, it does not take 24 hours to charge these even the first time.
4 hours will be enough.
I just got mine it did not say fully charge until i charged it for 24 hours
