Italian theater without an Italian faction, Ironic. Was really hooping the campaigns would've been a mixture of the COH1 cutscenes with the gameplay of an improved COH2 AA. Hopefully the fix it.

You still had the Badoglio Italians who fought for the Allies and then the National Republican Army who fought in Northern Italy. Its a missed opportunity considering they’re lowkey a couple of side units in the game.

The whole point of CoH3 is the multiplayer. The singleplayer with the interactive map is just an extra. But yes, it's sad that they seemingly didn't get it right.

Many followups to old, aged favorites are getting bad reviews. Maybe time really is past them and they need to evolve them a lot more. I'm now worried for Homeworld 3 :(
Seems like most game companies can't get their crap together. Whether it be the creators of this game or Ubisoft, you would think they would do better with all that time they had to develop the game
It would not make sense for the Germans in the Italian campaign to make large counter attacks. They had neither the man power nor equipment to push the allies back, except if they tried to make landings from the west of the peninsula in which case they would send all available troops. The Italian campaign was not about offensives and counter offensives but about the Allies trying their hardest to move up the mountainous terrain of Italy all they way being out played by the German defenders in every side they tried to move from and then retreating to more favorable positions to defend because the allies gave them the time they needed. In this game though you can change that almost however you like. Go the same route, go full Patton on them e.t.c.
Eh games fine and pretty dang fun im not gonna poop on it. Just like COH2 itll get better with time plus model importing is likely after launch, iv got my fingers crossed for real mods.
It breaks my heart. Relic was the king of RTS during the 2010's. Company of Heroes 2 is the only RTS besides Age of Empires 2 thats still alive in Steam.
every thing i've seen tells me this game is a shell of what the franchise once was. the unit banter is tired, unrealistic, and hokey as well. call to arms - gates of hell: ostfront looks much, much better.

To be fair, Company of Heroes 2 didn't have a great start either. That game got better as time went on.

lol you realize the Italians surrendered very early in the ivasion of italy.....like a few weeks. And weren't really present there.
