@@ollisiamcbean6655 hi and good morning she does make good videos, and i like how she shows the country living not just own. do you know if tavia is her family?, i live just up the road from benbow in tavern hill beside haycity gas station. guyshill is a nice quite place to live
GOOD MORNING hope you have a blessed day today and make the best of it ok and keep making good videos plz. one day you should do a drive through of benbow and guyshill. for people that hasn't been back in a long time.
The flat bridge was actually made by slave plantation workers. I actually remembered this studying in school 😅. During that time a lot of slaves died due to being overworked or catching diseases such as malaria. It is said that many of their spirits still remain there hence why the accidents occur ever so often Loved the video by the way...new subbie here💁🏽😍I always loved the feeling of traveling and exploring new places
You smart girl . the edge you have over the rest of jamaican youtuber , is that you alway turn your camera out to the road when your driving.ppl living abroad love to see the sight and sound of jamaica. Can't stand when vloggers have the camera always pointing on them. We know what dem look like aready we wanna see the place.
On the left side on your way to Bogwalk after you past flat Bridge this a long stretch of huge black pipe that was used to carrying water there is a big history behind it.. Many crew worker died in those pipes while repairing those pipes. That River is called Rio Cobre.
Wow, another amazing video. I am so impressed with your cousin and her methodology for teaching the kids including those at home and in her classroom. I really miss Jamaica, especially the country life. It is so moving to see how Jamaican teachers have adapted and improvised to keep the children learning through this difficult time....
I see you having a nice work out there, nothing like living in the county, now living in the States and watching this video makes me Miss and longing for a taste of it right now.
As you were describing the rock and I just saw it for myself it is actually the shape of a rea Pum Pum.Ciuntry life is always sweet.Fresh air fresh fruits and vegetables lovely ponds and rivers and much more. You no even need any masks in the countryside. Thanks fotr the view
Take my foolish advice but when doing any video try not to post everything. For example you showed that she stores gold watches in the fridge your neighbor or someone that might know the place can use it as an easy way to rob you of valuables.
No sah, why your gma look like my gma. Lol. And a St.Catherine she come from. I love Tavia, her dedication as a teacher, is true to how our teachers are in Ja. Big up to the jamaican teachers who truly know what teaching is all about Making children learn with almost no resources
Recently found your channel, liked what I saw and subscribed. Cant believe you came to guys hill. My area, so happy to see you and your grandma showing around the area. Yes a so we road bad, boy I cant take it.
That tanker truck coming over the bridge was so scary. Why do they have to go over so fast? Mama is a professional camera woman. 😁 I know the pum pum rock!
I just saw your video for the first time. It's a joy to watch you and your family. I live abroad. I just wanted to say keep up the good work and good luck.
I love traveling in Jamaica with my older family members because they give you the names and history of the different place along the way and boy Jamaicans creative with how we name things and places. Nuff jokes on those car ride. 😂😂😂
The black diaspora is so similar. Growing up in Kenya that brown stocking on the head was the norm all the older women I knew used that to protect their hair. These days ladies have switched to bonnets and hair nets but you will still come across the occasional stocking covering. You see that fridge cupboard my cousin stored her sons old books in an old fridge for almost three years until she finally disposed of it. Watching these countryside vlogs so many similarities to rural Kenya as well we also bury in the yard in the countryside its so normal. In fact for the longest time back in the day burying in a cemetery was seen as throwing away your person its more acceptable nowadays through
Hi from uk , were loving the uploads, i came to jamaica in 96 to meet my great grandma. My sons never visited so this is good to watch together. We are learning about our ancestry and heritage. 🏴🇯🇲🏴🇯🇲🏴🇯🇲🏴🇯🇲🏴🇯🇲

The history of the Flat Bridge is replete with tales of the deaths of Jamaicans, dating back to its very construction in the 1700's. When the bridge was being constructed, it is said, the 16 plantations in the area had to contribute one slave out of every 50 they owned to work on the bridge. "Slaves often lost their lives as they performed dangerous tasks in the Gorge," according to Wikipedia. It is also of note that between 1881 and 1915, the floor of the bridge was washed away and later re-floored with iron girders and buckle plates taken from the original flooring of the May Pen Bridge. In the 1930's it had metal handrails, and later wooden ones, but these were devoured by the river at different times. The original builders of the bridge, which is one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere, would no doubt have used the best technology and bridge-building techniques available to them in the 1700's. In a sense, the bridge is a marvel and says much about the engineers of those days.
Very nice lush scenery, I enjoyed watching your adventure today..it was very relaxing to watch. And yes country people are much more fitter than town people! Lol😂🤣 Ps: That's a brilliant idea with the mother(Teacher) labeling everything for her kids.🇯🇲🇺🇸🌴☀️🌴
