I believe there WAS love there between them; in looking at the "old" Amber years ago - she looked at Johnny with love in her eyes, but something or many things went terribly wrong for them as a couple and it all came crashing down! To see them now at opposite sides in that Fairfax, Virginia courthouse ⚖️ - they are universes apart!!!
It's heartbreaking (as most of us know) - how two people can love so deeply and later hate as deeply the other person ... 😥

Looking at this now it gives me the chills. Now we know approximately what abuse had taken place at that particular time in their relationship. We know what Amber did to him and what he was going through. It’s heartbreaking that he stood with her for so long and took the abuse, all while smiling in public. I am sure they had enjoyable times in between but the self-confidence still suffers over time when you are abused, even if it’s not all the time and the pain of the experiences adds up. Towards the end, he looks down and unhealthy. I hope he can get his peace and happiness back now that he he finally got rid of her. Good for him.

I do believe the abuse was from both sides. His was retaliation from her abuse. He drank a lot and they both did drugs. It was very abusive. Her beauty had him captivated. She was a master manipulator.

Why is this still up? Sure their relationship probably was wonderful in the beginning. She had to play the part so he'd fall hard for her. So he would marry her. She may have at least liked him. How long before she showed her true self? He told her she didn't exist. Meaning the person he fell in love with, the person he thought she was, wasn't real and didn't exist.
They were 20 years apart too. It's something that make relationship difficult as they aren't on the same page. It's basically 2 decade. I know rich men can always date young beautiful women because they have money and lots of young women are after it. But you need to be careful.

Totally!. She is the modern day siren they warned about in the earliest of films over a hundred years ago lol. These types of people can turn a faithful person into a betrayer, a good person, bad. A sane person crazy. They lay on the sex appeal thick. They love bomb. And once they have the hook in, they begin to rust everything in that person's world. Friends, family, jobs, and then slowly turning them into a person with no confidence or self value.
It's obvious in photos that she was a ticking time bomb from day 1. It's crappy that Johnny fell for such a fake woman and ruined his life... But it appears that he's going to have another chance at life now. I hope that includes getting to have genuine pure love again like Vanessa or Wynona had for him. It's extremely painful and heartbreaking getting a bird's eye view of their relationship through these pics. Love mixed with so much of emotional, physical, verbal and psychological abuse. Their start looked promising, two broken souls connecting and their ending just so bitter and acrimonious! So much of hurt. It is unbearably sad. I feel for JD's children too, being caught in the crossfire and becoming victims of ridicule and taunts by peers at school. Pray that they both heal from the this vitriolic relationship and find peace in their hearts, mind and spirit.
