More like acquaintances for 10+years always claiming everyone out to get her and like you said don’t ever question her or go against her she will make your life hell up to and including hexes, black magic, having others follow you, her in others vehicles following you, her access to those in law enforcement. @@AlewynMarie exactly. I'm so sorry you went through that. Mine was for 5 years, and after several attempts I finally left for good about 7-8 years ago. I have PTSD and just now can walk into a room and not automatically put my head down and look at my feet. He didn't allow me to have a job, go out with friends or anything. I could never act the way amber is acting, she doesn't know what truly being scared of someone is. I still have nightmares where I'm still trying to get away. So much abuse I can't recall the first time because it just happened so often, I can remember the bigger fights but definitely can't recall all of them, and I sure as hell don't remember if the carpet was dirty or not.

I had a ex just like Amber. It was like everyone else in the world was wrong but her. No matter what she did. She actually hit me and start crying because I caught her cheating and told her to leave my home. Her cheating didn't matter, but me not wanting to continue being in a relationship broke her heart and made me "emotionally abusive". Go figure.

I like when he said something like - "ya at 50 I suddenly decided to be a wife beater" even the use of those words suggests that he is not, otherwise he'd have used more subtle words to describe what he's been accused of. My ex used to do that. Purposely start an argument and then sit back smugly as I got angry then blamed my anger on me. She even started not one, but TWO, 2 hrs after I got home from my father's funeral.

I used to be a domestic violence counselor. I have never seen a victim act like Amber heard 'acts' on the stand.
After all the many years of very serious abuse that a 'victim' such as amber claims happened to her-she would be beaten down on every level to an almost unrecognizable form of her self. A true victim really wants to leave and tries to many times and because of lack of support and fear goes back at least 5 times. Amber would have had incredible support and never 'left' until years later. She would have had incredible support if she was really being abused. One more thing: no victim would engage in verbal arguments and spew ugly insults at her abuser. This would most certainly invite death .
Her testimony is all wrong for an actual victim. That's my observation of being a support to many women and helping them finally get in to a women 's shelter.
The thing that kinda made me not even consider her the victim is "Go on johny tell the world, tell the world that I Johnny Depp, a man has been abused, See how many people believe you"

I'm not defending Scamber Turd, I absolutely believe she's a liar, however I need to debunk this nonsense idea that victims don't spew ugly insults back. Before I escaped my abusive home, I used to verbally take on my tyrannical grandfather who mentally, physically, and sexually abused us. I knew it would lead to a beating, I knew that I wasn't helping my situation, and I knew that it may have even threatened my life, but I often told that fü¢ker exactly what I thought of him in b/w every punch. And one time, the things I said actually broke him down into tears. This massive 300 lb gorilla (with hands the size of my head) walked outside, after he pummeled my face, to cry.
I was 19 and my little bro ran inside to ask me what the hell I did? I've never felt more satisfied in my life than that moment, I felt like I got my power back. You know who else hurled insults at her abuser? Michelle Knight, one of the abducted victims of Cleveland rapist Ariel Castro, who also kidnapped Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus. Knight always gave him lip and a piece of her mind. Talking back does NOT make us any less of domestic abuse victims. However, I certainly wouldn't be speaking fondly of falling in love with JD the way that AH does and I def wouldn't be talking about stupid details like my breath on a window or how dirty the rug is 🙄
Heard is clearly a liar, but you don't need to use the "spewed insults" as proof that she's not a victim. Victims come in various forms. Some of us are unwilling to anger our abusers, while some of us know that arguing is the only thing we have left to stand up against our attackers - we use our mouths when our fists are too weak to fight back. It's not about logic, it's about power dynamics and being sick of being a doormat. This was especially the case when my mouth distracted him from assaulting my sisters and brother. So yeah I hurled insults and spat venom, but I also took punches, kicks, bites, etc.

This right here! It's a manipulative tactic. My mom was in an emotionally abusive relationship for years. When she finally left him HE filed for divorce hoping it would scare her back to him. Amber did the same thing by filing the restraining order AND filing for divorce first. It's all about control.
Also, she filed the restraining order when she knew he would be away, out of the country, for months, rendering it an unnecessary measure for her safety. She also contacted the press so that they could take a photo of a bruise on her face outside of the courthouse. The last time she saw Depp was six days before her appearance at the courthouse and according to witnesses she had not had a bruise during that week. Notice also that the bruises are always on the right hand side of her face. Jonny is right handed, if he hit her in a drunken, drug fueled rage as accused, the bruises would be on the left hand side of her face. Amber is also right handed, the bruises on the right hand side of her face are easily acquired by her hitting herself.
When she initially walked into the courtroom she had a faint smile on her face and she was strutting. That’s when she lost. The lies and evidence just sealed the deal.

I’m in a relationship with a man who was systematically abused for 12 years. I was in a short traumatic relationship that ended after 5 months after the man I was seeing kicked the shit out of me. I can tell you that being in a relationship with a narcissist will bring out the worst in anyone. She was manipulative and looked for any opportunity to set him up and record him coming unglued. When you are a victim of abuse the last thing you’re going to do is provoke the abuser. She is not afraid of him and it’s so obvious. When you know, you know. Is he perfect? The problem with this trial is that it's not a trial to prove that amber heard lied, but a trial for defamation from johnny to amber. The jury had to prove that amber's statements did ruin johnny's career. But Disney never revealed the real reason behind why they let johnny go. Johnny was intelligent because he didn't sue amber for the money, since he knew there was a 75% of chance he loses this defamation trial. He sue her because he knew it was going to be a public trial, and so everyone was able to see how crazy amber is and how big of a liar she is. And technically, he already won. He got his career back and ruined amber's career. So everyone is saying that he is going to win the trial, but I highly doubt it. Defamation trials are extremely hard to win for a public figure. Keep in mind, while publicly it was a defamation trial, the only reason why it happened was because Johnny wanted the world to see the truth.
Sadly, I think she will win; there just isn't enough evidence to prove that he NEVER abused her...but she HAS been proven to have abused him, and any studio/brand in their right minds will never work with her again

By malice it means the person who published the defaming statement must also have known at the time that what they were publishing was false. So if i posted something claiming that Joe Bloggs is an abuser then he could sue me for defamation if it met all the other criteria, and can prove what i said was wrong, even if I think he his. If I made the same claim about Johnny Depp though, Johnny couldn't sue me because I have no way of knowing for a fact that what I published was true or not. There are so many wild stories about public figures all the time that it is reasonable that i believed what I was claiming. At least I think that's right, I'm not american and not a lawyer.
For this one though, I believe all they need do is show that the claims are false, as the person who re-published the claims is the alleged victim (Amber) and so they would know at the time whether what they were publishing is true or not. If the abuse never happened to her, she would know it never happened, so the malice standard should be easier here imho.

You missed the testimony from the CEO with the 40 years of experience saying the abuse photos Amber presented to the court had been modified and did not come from her phone but her Personal Computer which has photo editing software. Furthermore the pics she claimed were from two makeup lighting were perfectly identical. Meaning she did modify the saturation and colors and the meta data was something that can be modified. However there was info on the photos presented in court to show these were modified photos of the original. Amber destroyed or claims to have destroyed the originals when she claimed to have tossed her phones.

She doesn't have $50 million to pay him, and she wasn't on a career trajectory to ever make that much money before she covered her reputation in gasoline and lit it, so unless Elon or the ACLU were dumb enough to sign a legally binding agreement that they would pay her defamation judgement for her Johnny is never getting the $50, but this has at least dramatically improved his chances of getting work again, and he can make more in one movie than she is ever going to make.
I think Johnny will be happy with just the win, he’s not like her and all he wants is for everyone to know the truth, he won’t want to be tied to her because of money he’s to much better for that
