Francescatti ( left handpizzicato& precision) and Menuhin(musicality&phrasing) by the far the best. Don't forget Ehnes, Vengerov and the greatest violinist of all times Heifetz! Jascha is difficult to compare because it's an early acoustical recording ....
Agree, although Vengerov plays here as if he was simply going to impress the audience, like in a circus :-) Despite the old recording, you may feel that Heifetz's version is magistral. Bad recording from a technical point of view, but playful pizzicato and very musical

surprising, Zino equal to the best for the left hand pizz. and notice he's doing it the hard way, pizzing with 4th finger on both strings. some of them pizz the open E, then use the bow for the D#, and pizz the C# with 3rd finger.
@@mattimaranda9638 btw bro his Beethoven 5 violin doesnt have frets, they are sort of indents that only serve a cosmetic purpose, dudes a reincarnation of the devil
I'm not a big fan, but for clarity and musicality I've gotta give this to Vengerov for the Gold. Silver for me goes to Li and Perlman, Bronze goes to Francescati. But it's all just subjective and a matter of priorities
@@williamloud7350 I have to agree 🤷🏻♂️ but looking at his symphony no.5 rearrangement I couldn’t care more about a slight mistake in intonation! (Despite it being one of the most central part of violin playing, the showmanship wows me more) but you do have a point!
No, he isn't uneducated. Christian Li is a virtuoso, I saw him perform Passacaglia and was awestruck, but, to call him a master compared to the rest of the people in the video is a little much. @@Ciaccona255
Instead of Mr Li i would have picked young Christian Li who played it years ago beyond his age. But Francescatti ist fantastic - didn't know this one. Absolutely my Nr. one. Yours was recorded unbalanced. The piano was far too loud. So sad. I can not really tell so where you stand. I hope there will be a more balanced recording one day.
The word "difficult" should be banned from a child's vocabulary so that they do not create inhibitions for themselves. Parents and teachers should be loving encouragers and never use the word "difficult". I believe that great violinists did not suffer childhood inhibitions associated with studying the instrument. Nothing is hard, nothing is difficult, the child just needs to understand that learning is a construction, that is, one step after another and everything can be achieved with patience.
Right. But it is the parents' vocabulary that such words need to be banned from. And then the children will do the same as a matter of course. Children don't "create inhibitions for themselves." It's the adults who set that stage for them. 😦
There's a fermata after the B7 chord, both in the violin and in the piano part. before the final E major chord. That means that there should be a slight delay of the final chord, led into by the violin. It seems to me, that none of these performers were observing this, although they all played brilliantly. The only performer that I've heard delay the last chord is the late American violinist Eugene Fodor, in a short SCTV film he made, which is based on a film with Joan Crawford, with Isaac Stern playing the violin.
Perlman. By far the most natural.
Looked like he might as well have been playing Twinkle
The young Menuhin is absolutely amazing.
Yes, in my book the most amazing teenage prodigy ever.
The one and only
The worst of all.
For me the showmanship , interpretation and and sheer joy of playing Vengerov
yes
Me too
I agree. His left hand pizzicato [in general, but also for this piece] is off the charts. Each note just goes BANG!

They are all amazing. But Chuanyun Li hands down has the best shirt.
Concert played by shirt with guest violinist.

Ehnes and Heifetz!
Very fascinating how everyone favorites are different. These violinists are true legends
Zino for ever.! 😍
Mais....tous fantastiques !
James Ehnes, Heifetz, Vengerov
My personal favourite is Gil Shaham…
Question? How did Vengerov avoid whiplash?
O proprio Perlman disse que a melhor interpretação desta peça foi do grande Menuhin.
Magnifico!!!
Maxim Vengerov is the best!😊
Well, Attilla Sautov’s video recording quality was poor, but his playing was absolutely top notch! Maybe my favorite in this lineup.
where is Christian Li?
The woman in the orchesta's reaction during Kim's segment says a lot. There certainly are many ways to play this.
Roman Kim the alien is also included

Itzak foi a melhor interpretação
When it comes to left hand pizzicato, Ning Feng is always the king
Soooo, the first 43 seconds……..damn.
1) Heifetz 2) Francescatti ..
Not that I think that musicians should be ranked, and I don't think my opinion matters either, but .... I fully agree 😊
Vengerov. Full of joy
Goodness...
Perlman, Ehnes, Vengerov, Heifetz.
No one can defeat Heifetz
What about Nemanja Radulovic? Is there a UA-cam of him playing this?
In my opinion Perlman and Vengerov have more focused the piece, playing with irony and lightness
ZINO IS THE BEST
Vasa Prihoda should be added.
This is the kind of piece a performer should not have to work too hard to bring off. In that regard, Perlman is the winner.
What happened to the audio? 🤨
This piece belongs to Maxim 💥
Перельман играет как дышит
Perelman clean,clear and true
Wasn’t Menuhin 16 when he made this recording?
He was 4 and a half….
The one and only Jascha Heifetz for me!!!!
Bravo, Sautov.
