How about trying this gun with Hornady Frontier 5.56 XM193. It's been shown to provide high velocities while being accurate ammo so I'd like to see how it performs in this gun.

I really appreciate your time…kinda hate everyone telling me I need a DD4 or some other 1500 to 2000 gun…I am very interested in the PSA PA-15 16 inch …
Would you fully recommend the PSA Rifles?

I own a few of them and have never had an issue with a one. No malfunctions in any of them. Just finished a PSA Gen 3 PA10 build in 308 a couple weeks ago. I'll end up reviewing it as well.

Good video.. only thing is if we're going to do accuracy testing, can we do it from a better platform next time..? LeadSled or prone maybe. Something more sturdy than proped up on a range bag. Thanks again for the video, good testament for a variety of bigbox loads

My PSA M4 carbine zerod outdoor range at 100yrds w/62gr FMJBT, PSA 3.5lb. SS trigger, HS510c 2moa w/HS3x as good as I could do 1 1/4 group, checking hold over at indoor range 25yrds got quarter size group.(both w/bipod) The key for Me, was My breathing, being still enough with heavy fire next to Me at the range . Next time I'd like to try a heavier grn 75grn BT it's slower and would change the zero but more stable in flight . I've not had any problems w/p-mag gen. 2 , your hold open problem is probably with that mag. Thanks for sharing. Boat Tail gives better results.

I have two PSA ARs that eat through any ammo so far but , probably 1000 rounds through each. But I am worried about longevity. They are good to get somebody like me into the word of AR-15.

With the DI system it's all about gas port diameter. Problem with these budget guns is the very fact they are designed to eat everything. Because a lot of people buy cheap steel case or underpowered .223 ammo. And when you do run 5.56 pressure ammo it overruns the system. That's when parts wear from having to pull un-retracted brass from chamber cause bolt and extractor failures. And gas rings to wear faster. It's like a engine in your car. It runs off of timing.
I've read the specs on PSA's lower recievers they all run carbine buffers. That's another tell, tell sign their stuff is not going to have longevity and durability. Not enough mass to give you the unlock time needed for the brass to retract enough to extract easily. Also going into battery. And pushing through dirt and fouling. You can overbuffer the system to mitigate a lot of this. But shouldn't have to. Example: Crane has a specification for a mid gas 14.5 of .076. Most 16's can run on this gas port diameter with a H buffer. The 14.5's the military are using are running super hot M855A1. And run a H2 or H3 suppressed. It's been found running a mid gas 16 or 14.5 with proper gassing. A H buffer with a Sprinco white hot spring or blue spring works well. A A5 setup with a Sprinco green spring and A5H2 buffer is probably one of very best setups for longevity.
Most of these Ham and Eggers on UA-cam exuding the virtues of PSA, BSA and the like really don't have a clue as to what is actually happening. They sit at a bench fire 50-100 rounds of whatever ammo they can afford. And tell you, "Yeah PSA is my gO tWo WaR riffle. And it's every bit as good as a Colt or BCM."
I had a Colt 6920 that has had 23k through it. It's on barrel number two. Barrel number one wasn't key holing. But the gas port had opened up significantly to the point of having to over buffer. Sheared a bolt lug off of bolt number two. I retired bolt number one. Because I figured 9k and two sets of gas rings were enough. New Colt barrel and BCG. My nephew has it now. He has a midwest Mlok rail on it. He's about to rebarrel it again. He has a Colt Trooper as his main now. When he EAS'ed from the Marines I gave him the money to get himself that Trooper and a Glock 19.

Probably want to take a little more time in between shots when going for accuracy... left and right patterns indicate your trigger pull...

Just change the barrel and bolt, if you spent 600 for it then spend another 600 on barrel and bolt and you will have a better shot at reliability, way better accuracy and something that won’t take a crap the first time you really need to use ur tool.
What’s the point if you can barely hit a stop sign at 200 yards. Go with Giessele barrel and bolt, tune your buffer and u should be good to go

I think most might be better off buying a budget friendly AR along with basic essentials for duty/defensive applications, and buy ammo… lots of ammo to train.
Also, PSA cuts out the middle men from manufacturing to purchasers. This could keep a firearm’s cost down by 40% or so.

You can NOT in anyway go wrong with PSA. I have numerous of their AR’s one of witch is my go to battle rifle. It’s the Freedom with their nickel bore BCG and nickel bore 2 stage trigger with Sig Romeo red dot and it shoots 1 inch group and under at 150 yards Al day long. I will put it up against any Daniel Defense, Rockriver and any $2k rifle any day of the week.. DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO OWN PSA.. you should check out their dagger 9mm as well.

Everyone’s so caught up in the accuracy race that no one cares about durability long term. As long as it works out the box a few mags then y’all are okay with it. One day everyone’s going to actually need their weapons and they are going to be a jam o matic pos or it breaks after a stack of ammo and will haves wished they spent more on proven durability over some cheap accuracy

You're talking two different worlds. I have a 10.5" PSA build, a 14.5" Aero Precision build, and a 18" JP build. One is for sheer accuracy and reliability, one is for reliability and versatility, and one is for close-range IDGAF.

You realize that most of these smaller manufacturers are only in the game because they were originally hired to manufacture rifles for all of the big boys and then eventually branch out and create their own, right?

PSA has insanely good reliability lol. I have many..and many more expensive options. People hate to make them feel good about their purchase.
