How about trying this gun with Hornady Frontier 5.56 XM193. It's been shown to provide high velocities while being accurate ammo so I'd like to see how it performs in this gun.

For that price, get the Larue MBT2 to avoid the cassett style trigger that cannot be disassembled because you could get a chunk of primer in there rendering it useless.

You can NOT in anyway go wrong with PSA. I have numerous of their AR’s one of witch is my go to battle rifle. It’s the Freedom with their nickel bore BCG and nickel bore 2 stage trigger with Sig Romeo red dot and it shoots 1 inch group and under at 150 yards Al day long. I will put it up against any Daniel Defense, Rockriver and any $2k rifle any day of the week.. DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO OWN PSA.. you should check out their dagger 9mm as well.

I get triggered when people drop the slide… but… it looks bad ass.

I have a dog bag as well and love it. It’s my dad bag, go bag, bug out all kinds of stuff. Mostly what I carry is medical, kid stuff, gun ammo and small survival stuff.

I have three of their two stage nickel boron triggers and they are great. Maybe I'll give one of these a try.

How long did this trigger feel gritty? Mine definitely feels gritty. Is this normal? The PSA EPT feels so much smoother.

I liked the first one so much, I bought a second. They used to have a Cold Hammer Forged barrel. But now I see they have dropped that. Still a great price point.

Sir, please get rid of the 30 round magazines for sight in. Your see sawing on the magazine table contact, and your pivoting holding the magazine well. Get behind the gun, rest the fore end on the bag, take your support arm under the stock and grab your strong side shoulder. Line up your sights, close your eyes taking a deep breath, open your eyes and if the sights moved, adjust your body placement behind the rifle keeping the weapons natural point of aim, and sight her in. You will notice a tighter grouping at impact.

I have the 16” fixed stock version and I absolutely love it! Got lucky and scored a SADF 30rd magazine from 1981, so I know the financial pain of shooting a full mag. Totally worth it though, especially once you get the gas set right it shoots so soft.

Counter Strike 1.0 and 1.6 is the most I've ever used this gun.

Now you gotta get they're PSA charging handle AMBI high wall helps to stop gasses from passing out the top to the face . Made like the Raidian Raptor , but at $56 it's a great deal. And Armscor 45° safety selector, both items in parts list. PS the same trigger helped me get quarter size groups at 50yrds. Luv it

Get it with the PSA EPT trigger (enhanced polished trigger). It’s awesome.

My PSA M4 carbine zerod outdoor range at 100yrds w/62gr FMJBT, PSA 3.5lb. SS trigger, HS510c 2moa w/HS3x as good as I could do 1 1/4 group, checking hold over at indoor range 25yrds got quarter size group.(both w/bipod) The key for Me, was My breathing, being still enough with heavy fire next to Me at the range . Next time I'd like to try a heavier grn 75grn BT it's slower and would change the zero but more stable in flight . I've not had any problems w/p-mag gen. 2 , your hold open problem is probably with that mag. Thanks for sharing. Boat Tail gives better results.

I put a Holosun 510c green MRS w/ 3X magnifier on the same model. I sighted in at a outdoor 100yrds 1" group AAC 62grn FMJBT, then when to indoor range to check my hold over 1 7/8 under point of aim quarter size hole. The best thing I did was installed PSA's 3.5lb. drop in unit trigger for much more accurate shooting. PSA's charging handle just like Raiden Raptor (highwall gas blocker) Also Armscor 45°/90° safety selector(PSA) much easier to operate for my old thumb, also liked the cheek weld B5 system stock and ERGO grip palm swell grip . Very happy with it. PS these items will make a big difference. My other one I installed scope Primary Arms 1x6x24 ACSS BDC reticle w/ bullet drop compensator reticle it calculates distance with markings on the reticle $426.otd Amazon. You gotta get the O-Light pistol light called PL TURBO INCREDIBLE THROW +150YARDS w/66,300 candela use it on your rifle , best on the market at $90.

Probably want to take a little more time in between shots when going for accuracy... left and right patterns indicate your trigger pull...

Adjust one and only one axis between groups. Conventional wisdom would say that wastes ammo zeroing. In practice, it saves ammo and you will be confident in your zero.

For reloads, you can try an AK-style reload, where when empty, you grab a fresh mag first, and using the back spine of that mag you hit the mag release, dropping the empty. Then you insert and rack. It helps to have an extended mag release for this (think ARID or Corvus Defensio). Also, some additions that give benefits would be a brass deflector so you can shoot lefty (or around obstacles), and some trigger mods. The ARID trigger and safety, along with a Ratworx 20/20 sear bring the pull down below 5lbs (I've gotten sub 3 pound pulls). That combo also removes all take-up, gives that light, crisp break, and removes all overtravel. The original combat trigger is a 2-stage trigger with the extra travel to engage full auto. Since 99% of us don't have full auto we don't need that 2nd stage of overtravel. The ARID trigger and safety remove all that extra travel. Oh, Steyr has NATO stocks with the rear, bolt release, but they are only available right now on the 300 blackout model which should be released shortly here in the US. The US factory is currently machining the 300 barrels as I write this.

I think most might be better off buying a budget friendly AR along with basic essentials for duty/defensive applications, and buy ammo… lots of ammo to train. Also, PSA cuts out the middle men from manufacturing to purchasers. This could keep a firearm’s cost down by 40% or so.
