Retired driver, nice to "meet you." I can say that I was at the Lay's Potato Chip plant in San Antonio, Tx and I would never get this close to their operation. I could see the trailer in the air, but I could never get to the ramp. At least back then when I was driving. God bless you Nia and to your beautiful dog, stay safe ...
Same design as a dump truck. You have a hydraulic cylinder that pushes the pistons upward, and there are stepper motors that allow each hydraulic to lift many times its own weight. I’m not sure the exact mechanics but a dump truck works the same way
They have those hydraulic tilt machines at paper mills as well. I would see trailers in the air as I would pass by daily. I’ve even seen some where the truck was still attached to trailer as they tilted it. I know you’re glad you got that load from underneath you! Stay safe out there beautiful!👍🏾
When I hauled loose potatoes for Frito Lay. They put screen on the floor. It kept the floor from getting real dirty. Definitely no potatoes stuck in the floor
Nia, you really know what you are doing, your video is great and thank you for that, we enjoy every time you post something new, (though we also watch the old ones, again and again, haha) you are a great person
And why are you gone now?? it's nice to see your every post, so we eagerly await the next one, you really know how to do it and you have style and knowledge...
Your Lucky, we had Seyferts potato chip plant in my town and they used to have the trucks back on the ramp and clamp it down and raise the tractor and trailer up in the air. It was always a treat to go down there and watch them lift the trucks up.
Those tilt machines are very common in Trash Landfills. The tractor trailers that hual Trash out of the cities and counties go to Landfills where they back up and disconnect the trailers so they can tilt them backwards to unload.
Just carried a load with very similar weight on trailer and drives. Drive down MountEagle for the first time with it. The mountain not as bad as some drivers make it seem.
Hi Nia and palms you’re looking 👀 beautiful love video and hauling all the potatoes never see that fast before and as always you and palms be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hello hello Nia happy Saturday 😊 I just saw your post and I gotta say it was awesome, I’m sure you’ll be at 500k viewers soon love your channel.Pom has a wonderful doggie mama ❤I wish continued success stay safe out there ❤❤❤❤
Yea Potatoes loads are very nasty. I have done a few loads like that. now time for a wash out. Potato loads are not fun. that was so cutie that parm said "I love u"
The machine your trailer is on is a tipper machine. It can lift 120 tons or 264000 lbs. They are used in potatoes and other vegetables. I haul garbage and mulch in south Florida and it's used to dump those items. Now you know beautiful 😻
Damn girl you had my knees aching so bad when you were chucking those taters out. If i was able to get down like that which I can't I would need a tow truck to get me off the floor. You stay safe now.
I just passed my CDL permit tests. I'm so confused how this could be safe. You look amazing. Salad looked good as well lol. I have 2 Jack Russell's, durable is never durable enough. The quickness of the toy destruction is insane. Be safe.
My brother works at a mill where they make cabinets. They have a dump process very similar. That's what he is in charge of. I thought it was crazy the first time I was the video.
Sorry to say it sucks having to clean up the spuds!! Anyone remember hauling grain in a reefer to California when times were tough, we unloaded them with a mormon board dusty and hot!! now that sucked, wish we had the technology to tip the trailer. Thanks for all you do!
They chain the back end of the trailer and the landing gear down to the platform so it won't fall over or off the platform when they lift it up to unload it then once it's unloaded they unhook everything
Just found your channel really enjoyable video should have got yourself a brush to sweep the trailer out would have taken you half the time lol looking forward to the next one 👍
The largest FritoLays plant is in Frankfort, In. They have a lift like that. I would think it common that, that is how they offload potato's. See you in my dreams, Gorgeous! Tootles!!!
When I drove for Western Express ( for a very short time) we would pickup trash from New York and take it to Ohio to dump, they had us back up to a platform and unhook. Then it would lock it in and tilt it all the way up. Straight up and down for trash to come off.
Its called a Tipper! I hauled garbage in a trailer and they would lift it and dump it on the ground at the landfill then push it away with a Bulldozer!
Hey girl great to see you!!! I've seen drivers clean them out at the truck stops... It's a fun process too witness, much love and respect Shania and Palm ❤️💯🤙🏼
Wow, that is fascinating. So cool how they lifted your trailer. I never knew the beginning process into making potato chips. Looks expensive. Thanks for educating us, one more interesting thing to learn.
I live 1 hour east of Lynchburg.the hill city.part of bible belt for eastcoast.i have delivered to frito lay back in the day.i love how you say yall.beimg from maine if I remember correctly.the burg is cool city.most people are pretty cool.for a city of 50,000 plus.
That trailer ramp uses two hydraulic cylinders to push it up, hold it up and lower it. You were lucky the trailer was actually so clean afterwards. I delivered there about a year ago from a potato farm off of 95 south of Orlando. My entire trailer floor was covered with potatoes. Took me about an hr to get rid of some of them the same way you did bc it was good exercise. Then took it about 30 miles for a good washout that cost the company $200 but it looked new inside and smelled good. My next load was the same one they gave you. Gatorade from wytheville, VA to I think mine delivered to the Dallas area. I didn't know Michigan produced and shipped potatoes. These loads are ok if they pay decent and they have a washout close by. That Lynchburg facility has two washouts close by. The potato load I had from the Orlando area pd a little over $3/m. Idk there were potatoes in FL either. Cleaning a potato load by hand is a good workout. Have a safe trip to TX.
Love the video! 2 things: 1. You would think that the trailer will be more filled with the potatoes, versus just like 30-40% full. 2. The "i love you" from Pom was the cutest thing ever.
🤗😘😍🥰🤩 good job girl. I've been on some of those where it picks up your yes I stayed in the truck one time it looks like I was taking off in a spaceship never again everything. Be safe beautiful❤
I ran refrigerated foods, fruits, veggies, and ran a lot of potato loads to Frito Lay and had to do the same tips the trailer up and taters go into a pool, get washed, and right into the process of potato chips. Youre awesome. Lov you and all your content. Be safe.
I forgot a 32 oz fountain cup in my cupholder once while tipping with truck and trailer. You never forget again when you see the condition of your sleeper afterwards! 😅😂
Hey Nia nice to see you again great video I think there is some kind of broom or shovel you can use but anyway thanks for your videos and I hope I can meet you out there on the road one day be safe and hope to see you soon
🌹NIA🌹 I really don’t think you should have had to clean out those potatoes that’s just wrong they should have done it, you’re a good person. And you’re about to make the 100K WOO HOO 👏 👏👏👏 👍.

Nice to see that you are close to achieving 100k📡

Yea I seen those docks once. Nice to see you beautiful Nia
Happy Weekend to ya Nia 💙 that potato load was wild. Great vid as always. Blessings to you and Pom 😊✝️💯

Bulk spuDs are usually dumped, flooded out, or scooped out with spudnik machine or bobcat
Those tilt machines are very common in Trash Landfills. The tractor trailers that hual Trash out of the cities and counties go to Landfills where they back up and disconnect the trailers so they can tilt them backwards to unload.
Paper MILLS, COTTON SEED MILLS,PEANUT MILLS, sum grain mills use them as well
Awesome vlog Nia! Made me laugh so hard you cleaning out all those potatoes! Keep up the great work! Go 100K!!
Love watching your trucking videos, just so beautiful!
Just carried a load with very similar weight on trailer and drives. Drive down MountEagle for the first time with it. The mountain not as bad as some drivers make it seem.

Looks like the same sort of setup they use at the dump when huge semi trailers of out of town trash are dumped. Well done video.

Probably the most beautiful truck driver I have ever seen lol
The machine your trailer is on is a tipper machine. It can lift 120 tons or 264000 lbs. They are used in potatoes and other vegetables. I haul garbage and mulch in south Florida and it's used to dump those items. Now you know beautiful 😻
I grab a bunch of those and put them in a bag and put them in the truck to eat, they are all still good! Look at all those good potatoes!
Hi Nia, Lynchburg huh? That’s not far from me here in Stuarts Draft, VA. Safe travels. Love your videos. 🥰
Damn girl you had my knees aching so bad when you were chucking those taters out. If i was able to get down like that which I can't I would need a tow truck to get me off the floor.
You stay safe now.

Get you a push broom and maybe a shovel and a bucket with a handle it will make it a lot easier when you want to clean your trailer out yourself
Up here in Maine we use the same jacking system to empty wood chip trailers!
They used to lift the entire rig. 😮
Of course you wouldn’t be in it.😂
I used to haul wood chips to the paper mills and that’s how they are unloaded also.
Hi Road Runna Nia how are you doing I hope you are doing good please be safe out there on the road & have a safe trip
Much love from Chicago sis, keep on hustling $
Right on time ! Happy Saturday !
My brother works at a mill where they make cabinets. They have a dump process very similar. That's what he is in charge of. I thought it was crazy the first time I was the video.

😂 Kobe in there! Having fun while you work is always the best 😊
They chain the back end of the trailer and the landing gear down to the platform so it won't fall over or off the platform when they lift it up to unload it then once it's unloaded they unhook everything
They also have auger and belt system that can unload bulk potato loads.
Just found your channel really enjoyable video should have got yourself a brush to sweep the trailer out would have taken you half the time lol looking forward to the next one 👍
I guess this is why you wash potatoes before peeling them
The largest FritoLays plant is in Frankfort, In. They have a lift like that. I would think it common that, that is how they offload potato's. See you in my dreams, Gorgeous! Tootles!!!
