shoutout to the fact that if we played dungeons as the admins genuinely intended we would all be doing slightly over 100 speed "parkour" (90% of which is climbing vines and ladders) and all 5 people would roomstack each room together at once in every single room on the map. clearly the admins know whats best and most fun
They might be cooking if they make content that's actually difficult maybe have like some boss or smth in each room or whatevr. Also limit power creep kinda make something similar to Minecraft Dungeons where u cant rly split up the party

i think he is talking about cheating with fme config and secret aura + hclip and that stuff. the pearl changes actually don’t affect many configs at all. but to do 0/9 to 0/8 instantly thats autoroutes and can get you watchdog banned. the other cheats i mentioned earlier are only bannable if ur run gets spectated
Well, there's a single admin that plays and they've been cata 40 for 3 years. I think they are kind of out of touch. You can tell by the removal of bombdefuse, I saw some people praising them for that change, because no one ever did it legit. The reality is that every puzzle is the same for the 1000th time and it doesn't matter if you cheeze it or not after you've done it once. They kind of act like "not playing the intended way" is bad, yet they intended for you to go in a run, finish it, have a 3 minute cooldown, then play again. Like, only have a single run per party??? You can't get something this wrong, leave this much room for interpretation through bugs and cheating, then pretend you can make it better by selectively fixing said bugs. To fix dungeons, make the bugs features. Let me break blocks and that fixes ghost blocks and walking through walls. Can't walk it back 4 years later.

Make game mode years ago not knowing that at some point everyone will have to play it in a different way then don't adapt it to new needs When people find ways to deal with your bad design, ruin them so they have to come up with more complicated ones that everyone who plays will have to learn if they don't want to waste away or get kicked from parties
a. the point that pearl patch affects legit players more than cheaters is valid, but they need to focus more on getting rid of the cheaters instead of trying to "buff" legit players which will also inevitably buff the cheaters b. if anything the pearl changes can help with the cheating situation if the admins decide to spec and ban people since it will be very obvious if someone is cheating vs legit due to the massive discrepancy. c. the cheating situation can be addressed simply just start full wiping on first offense. I have heard so many people say "just start cheating if ur not on status and take a 30d break when u get banned". this clearly shows the punishment is not enough d. at the end of the day the admins are trying to create a game for everyone to enjoy. speedrunning a game is fine but when the 'speedrunning' strats gets implemented into every run, it gets daunting and breeds a toxic environment. (i think you can agree that the dungeon community is quite toxic rn) so if people are going to sweat and start demanding 'speedrun' strats from every player for every run, the average player is not going to enjoy it and will turn away from dungeons itself. the only way i can see this level of sweat and toxicity stop is by the admins hard patching out all the ways to speedrun, so players are forced to play more casually. I would recommend u to put urselves in the shoes of a cata 30 floor 7 player with no experience and getting kicked and berated for not doing a speedrun strat. sure this might ruin the game for the top 2% but for the remaining people, it would be a welcome and fun change e. i think they should make the floor itself harder (more ehp mobs, more dmg taken etc) when they do start patching out the cheeses/speedrun strats so there is an a actual challenge for the players. most of the things that people do nowadays in dungeons is because the floor is too easy and there is no actual challenge.
i agree with all of this except point b, which i have no opinion on because i dont know how to spec a run. to be clear this isnt a video about dungeon cheaters nor is it a video about the toxicity and speedrunning nature of dungeons and the negative impacts of it, its just about pearls within the general context of modern dungeons and the illogical decision the admins made to remove it. these issues you mentioned are bigger deserve well thought-out and scripted videos, which I plan to make for at least the cheating issue. personally i dont think pearls make the run sweatier because removing tnt pearl led to even sweatier pearl strats within a week. the fix for dungeon speedrunning would have to be much deeper, so i dont consider this to be a fix in any way for tha tissue, in which case it is simply detracting from the modern meta. hence the two being largely separate issues. sorry for the confrontational tone i couldnt tell if u were arguing against my video or if you were just providing general commentary or both idk
the thing is people are probably gonna come up with a new, harder method after every patch. removing every method that decreases the speed of a run (within reason, obviously you don't want to ban aotv and such basic items) would result in disgustingly slow, inactive, and even more boring runs with less people playing, and admins would have to increase all drop chances significantly or dungeon drops would be 99b each. these issues don't have super simple solutions because there's a whole community, game, and economy behind it. also, where these glitches being patched and toxicity are most applicable is in m6/m7 where people are starving for the fastest runs. m6/m7 players are already in a top percentile; they'd be ruining it for almost everyone currently playing m7 although of course more people may play it if it's more accessible. also changing ehp and damage would probably not be super fun, just bump up reqs to even play the floors. challenge would have to come in something that isn't disintegrated by solver or gear up. honestly dungeons are just outdated

To be fair, it's somewhat understandable why they reverted the initial pearl trap patch and not this. Pearls being disabled in trap is simply a restriction they _want_ to put on the room to make it harder, not to stop cheaters or anything. Pearls being able to clip through walls is more of a bug/glitch. But then again, you can argue that it didn't really do much to stop cheaters, and doesn't make much sense to patch unless they're going to patch other things like stonking as well.
i personally was really excited to see the haste artifact on alpha, among other this, it would make door skipping as mage very easy and help bridge the gap between cheaters & legit players, for admins to just completely remove most of the functionality of pearls right after is such a bruh moment

"who even likes this change" I do. I haven't learnt good pearl routes and only used them in trap in "normal" ways? I play 1.21 since my pc is a potato - I can't ghost block because of this. The change just made it so I don't get stuck in walls when I pearl into them - it didn't matter where I pearled even on flat walls I would get stuck in them somehow. So for the few players on later versions it's a nice qol. Which seems like poor decision making on the admins part since they haven't changed the game to be optimized for later versions yet and the majority of the playerbase is on 1.8. But yeah, I do like this change.
The admins need to realize that not everyone loves the same things about the game; like most people who watch this video are probably gonna be sweats. But there are still people (and probably more of them) who just play the game casually and enjoy it more. You do you and have fun doing it

If you haven't figured the text out already: That looks like something is getting inverted or RGBA values are getting swapped somewhere. Could be something with GLHSL, but idk.
I had the same issue with the colors on my last laptop it because the color components that combine to make specific colors some of them don’t show up so u just get a component color. It fixed itself either when I updated graphics drivers or something in nvidia color display settings in the control panel, hope this helps.
I also disagree with pearl fix, it should be reverted, but what I really want, I want them to fix ability to block damage from p3 closed phase so i4 won't exist and people won't ask me every run to do this stupid messy sh*t instead of chilling on yellow pad

yea i probably will i have one about dungeon cheaters planned but that one is more serious so itll be actually focused and scripted so no eta on that, any other ones i make will probably be similarly all over the place
I’m in university now and I don’t have the time to keep up with the constantly changing meta, I’m cata58 and basically quit as I don’t find m7 fun as when I do try join a party, it’s just so sweaty I get kicked after the run. I was 100% sweaty until roughly after the decoy bouncy arrow patch. Joining m7 isn’t playing a game, it’s clocking in at work. The game is fun, the majority of the dungeon community is not.

Banning cheaters is a temporary solution they always just come back hypixel just needs to cater to legits more
To fix text color disable optimized text in patcher (i think that it is what is called)
tysm it was "optimized font renderer" in patcher that was doing it

they were changed, i just couldn’t get them to change on scoreboard or leap menu
I had the same issue with the colors on my last laptop it because the color components that combine to make specific colors some of them don’t show up so u just get a component color. It fixed itself either when I updated graphics drivers or something in nvidia color display settings in the control panel, hope this helps.

I’m in university now and I don’t have the time to keep up with the constantly changing meta, I’m cata58 and basically quit as I don’t find m7 fun as when I do try join a party, it’s just so sweaty I get kicked after the run. I was 100% sweaty until roughly after the decoy bouncy arrow patch. Joining m7 isn’t playing a game, it’s clocking in at work. The game is fun, the majority of the dungeon community is not.
this is so valid, the only reason i can keep up with the meta is cuz im active with top players so they just tell me what to do when something changes
