Just started mine thanks for the very informative vid. You’re right about the parts in the Atlantic sets. But il mix it up at 500 pts. The painting opportunities are endless. Notice you get. Scarfs in there too , so say one unit blue scarfs the other green berets. Each group uses different identifying marks
I take the Panzerwerfer 42. It doesn’t suffer as much from the inexperienced and unreliable rules. I just drive it around my backfield throwing at rockets that I’d roll 6’s anyways. Most people don’t expect multi-launchers from this army.
They also have access to PIAT at least the French and Polish resistant factions do. Also the lone sniper where applicable, and the way I read the rules is snipers hit on a 3 unless they lose the spotter/assistant and then any pins which moves the hit number up so 2 pins would equal 5 to hit and so forth. This is why the lone sniper for both partisans and Japanese is sort of powerful as they don't have to worry abut losing the spotter. Of course any damage and they are gone.
Really helpful. Currently building a chetnik army. I'm more into the flavor, but I wouldn't mind fielding a competitive list in a tournament from time to time
@@boltactiontutorialsbybomor3846 And now today they just put up their WW2 British SAS up for preorder. Four arms with pistols and a holstered pistol bit (plus a sniper rifle) per sprue, 5 sprues per box, and enough parts left to actually make the 30 Brits if armed with rifles and/or SMGs.
The Maquis list doesn’t let you take captured tanks, although you can take an SAS Jeep or SAS armored Jeep (or captured kubelwagon). That being said the Maquis unit can be taken in the generic list. What this means is that you can take an inexperienced partisan squad with Green for the same price as regular inexperienced partisans. In fact if you give the partisans pistols and shirkers they end up being 1 point a model. I’m thinking I may take a second platoon of an inexperienced officer and and five 5 man squads for 60 points. That’s 6 extra order dice for 60 points on your army! Great for improving the odds of getting that Death Star veteran unit of SMG’s and Anti tank grenades moving first and getting them where you want to go!

Interesting army build. The option of colors, kitbashing and visual fun makes this a great project. That they can win battles is a bonus

Thanks for doing this. A shame none of WGA World Wars era kits really have a surplus of pistols for easy conversion.
yeah that is also what's holdoing me back from partisans

Good morning Bo. Hope your well. I’m running partisans at winter war this weekend
A German MRL vehicle is brilliant. If you are limited to a single platoon making good use of 1000 points might be an issue.
Can you use the captured tank in the Marquis list do you know?
not sure, no

They are so let down by their special rules in my opinion. Give them some forward deployment!
