- Kandiss Crone reports from Granada Hills, where a home made famous by the piles of trash filling the yard has reportedly been put up for sale, something neighbors hope puts an end to years of frustrations.
He gonna throw a neighborhood block party when they’re gone, my dude is savage 🤣👌🏻
it will just invite more rats! LA county has no rat prevention. There are invasions everywhere!
good. people with mental deficiencies that negatively affect others are less than human and should be treated accordingly
thats how you do it
Heck yes! They're actually lucky they didn't get the sht beat outta them while living there
the least he can do is invite the previous tanents/landlord to the block party 😆 😂
"They refused to answer the door" , they probably couldn't fkn get to it!!!
I actually feel bad for their future neighbors. Let's hope they are all going their separate ways, crazy people.
gotta love some cali
The dude throwing a block party is a true hero 😂
Man just looking at the site of trash is just horrid. How can anyone live like that is just sad. I truly feel sorry for the neighbors.
Yes, and it's disgusting that the city allowed it to get to that point and to go on for so long. They should have taken drastic action immediately. The neighbors should have sued the city.
This house was on an episode of Hoarders years ago. I just can remember which one. I will try to find it if I can.
Please do. Now I’m curious.
@@rb5078 Yeah, same here.
Imagine the poor idiots that buy this house and don’t tear it down. This house has to be a tear down for sure just based on what’s existing in there on a biological level.
The realtors should be ashamed for even listing this.
I’d Live in it just clean it up better then my 1300 one bedroom
not really, the realtors are legally required to list the history of the home, and it's readily available on the internet. if it's cheap enough, there will be a guy who buys it as a restoration project, ie deep cleaning with hazmat equipment and possible partial tear down. the market will work itself out, no need to turn this entire place into rubble without seeing if someone on the market has what it takes. and if they don't, it's not the realtor's fault, it's the buyer for failing to understanding their limitations and/or reading the home's full history
There are going to be a lot of bids for this house. Trust
Not a tear down. We cleaned many worse than this and they sold for $100.000 $$
@@JamesBond-hu9rg just because you can doesn’t always mean you should. I’d love to see this place pass an inspection given it’s known history.
They should be obligated to go to therapy for OCD. Hoarding is often a symptom of OCD and this mental disorder needs to be addressed or else they will continue to live this way wherever they go. It should be mandatory before they are allowed to buy or rent anywhere else in any city.
Why are the media (such as this one) protecting the person and people responsible? Why do neighbors faces and names get shown but the actual troublemaker is a total mystery? Why is empathy being given to the (mystery) troublemaker? Backwards! Had this person been called out years ago, this likely would have ended years ago!
Shaming a pig is the best way.
It's not backwards you're just ignorant. The neighbors gave their consent to be on air and the homeowner didn't simple as that. Hoarding is a mental illness, simply "calling them out" won't stop them and maybe the city had empathy at first but now their suing the homeowner so that empathy has run out.
It’s the medias new narrative
It’s not their fault always. When you live with debilitating grief, it manifests itself in ways shown here. People don’t always make it easier knowing that that’s what’s happening here.
Because they ashamed to be on news and the owner and son hiding and they do t have nothing to say for the mess
I'm happy for the neighbors!! Throw a party, don't be sorry!!
Yeah, in no way are they the least bit sorry.
@@browncatwithblurredbackgro2461 what the fuck you mean??? the neighbors have every right to be pissed. with that mindset I hope you don't move next to me
Throw that bbq brother, when that house sells 🎉
Why hasn't the house been condemned the long time ago?
It needs to be condemned and the house needs to be bulldozed down no bank is going to give a loan out on this type of home
Why does it matter
The house was built in 1959 on 16557 Bircher Street. I don't think it will sell for $875K as too many houses in Granada Hills are for sale at this point...... And market is going down the hill and it will for a while....

Congrats to the neighborhood!!!! I’m happy for them.
It's listed for 875k in case anyone is curious. 😉
That’s considered cheap in California. This state sucks lol
i might be interested
Add another $50K or possibly more for the damage that all that hoarding has caused.
need to tear down all since it's infested. they may need to put a new soil or put concrete floor.
That's cheap, probably because it's a total redo on the inside especially.
If your neighbors are endangering your health who cares if they leave good riddance they were never going to change I would definitely not feel bad for us crappy neighbor like that leaving my neighborhood just as bad as having the homeless people out in front of your house or sleeping on your front porch and you can’t do anything about it
Disgusting, whoever buys that house is going to have to completely remodel it and fumigate and disinfect even the yard. 🤢
Feel sorry for there future neighbors.
Who's going to remove all the crap? They can hire people from a Hoarders Organization. It will cost thousands.
the block party, "avec" dumpsters, pizza, and free beer.
That was such an awful experience for the neighbors. The images of large quantities of trash was disgusting to look at. That was not safe. They totally deserve to throw that block party after years of dealing with such a disgusting neighbor.
Should bulldoze the home down and condemn it and scrape the lot
I see cockroaches, fleas, rats, mice living inside BEHIND dirty, filthy foul smelling walls, sinks, toilets. Demolition comes to mind. 🤔🤔 😁 Who in the world is going to buy rat infested property?!!! INSANE, they ruined the home, Granada Hills or not! Ruined! 😂🤣😂😂😂🤣
That's why I mentioned earlier the house should be condemned bulldozed down and scrape the lot there is no bank that's going to give a loan out on that nasty home
Absolutely!
they can tent up the place, kill everything, do a partial teardown. if the foundation and support structure is fine, no need to demolish the whole thing
House is a dump. Don’t know why anyone from Rodeo Realty would even dare to list it. 💡 The only area in Granada that’s worth it is in Eichler’s area Lizette street and so on. Everything else really all dumps.
that place is lot value minus cleanup: right now? 500 tops.
Think about what the inside of that home is going to be like.
That house is going to have to be demolished. The interior must be disgusting.
What does the inside look like shesh
What is sad here is that it has taken this long for the local government to take action. I understand that people have rights, but the health and welfare of the neighbors should come first. Five years is four years too long.
City will clean it up and afterwards it looks the same all over again. The problem is the owners not the city. The problem will just move elsewhere.
@@rubyoro0 Yes it is the owners. The city should have evicted them long ago. 5 years is much too long. They are a hazard to the neighborhood. It's time that law breakers stop taking precedence over law abiding citizens. Yeah they will move away and maybe into a jurisdiction that either gets them counseling or throws them into jail.
That is horrible the house should be tore down on health issues.
What greedy reality put that up for sale.
I've been invested in this house for a while now
Who's gonna wanna pay nearly 900k for an ex infested/hoarder house? Some rich idiot will. I wish I was a rich idiot though, not poor.
LOL the homeowner is selling her house because the media has caused her stress LMAO what about the stress she has caused all her neighbors over the years? And the fact that she has brought down the property value of other people's property around her LOL people like this should not be allowed to own a home
Neighbors should buy it and bulldoze it and sell the lot
No one will buy this for a dollar. They have to demolished that home and make it a lot.
I’m that house needs to be demolished and then completely rebuilt. How else can u can rid of the nasty ass Floors etc
You tell’em, Jimmy!
They stole bicycles, thieves and hoarders. So glad I moved out of LA.
How can it take years?!? This is why I never want neighbors
everyone has neighbors!
Just imagine the poor neighbors wherever they move are going to be suffering
Was this property on A&E Hoarders?
So who cleaned it up this time? The city again?
All the neighbors should put their money together and buy that house so the pests living there will be gone asap! Rent the house out and everyone gets a piece of the rental income, cha ching!
You know how much money it will take to refurbish that home it's not even worth it furthermore you do not want to rent homes in Southern California it's a disaster if the tenants do not pay the rent they have a right to stay in the home and you can't collect your rent money
@@White_Snake69 In CA, it takes up to 6 months to officially evict a tenant that is insolvent/negligent on his rent payments (and this is not COVID-related). Those 6 months can eat up your capital big time as a landlord by the holding/vacancy costs, and the property values would depreciate significantly faster.
@@White_Snake69 You are so right. A needless headache. I recently talked a family member out of renting a home. If I was going to go this route, I'd rather rent out apartment units than a house. Home ownership is personal to me.
I don't understand, the place looks like the rest of Los Angeles.
Worst then the poltergeist house😱
BS they kicking me out and selling it out from under me!!!
I hear so many people in the comment section saying that the house will sell "as is" right away or they would buy it themselves. My first thought is "what in the world is happening to the housing market in California?
Well the smart people are moving out of the state of California because the state is an absolute disaster it will never get better the cost of living is too high the quality of life sucks and you can live in a state that actually cares about people for a lot cheaper
There's not enough houses. Too many people and those out of state coming here it's annoying af
@@White_Snake69 And what states would that be?
Let me know when the block party starts I’m in las vegas
nice
Neighbors should have burned it down years ago.
People should be careful celebrating other people's pain, that could be deadly.. I pray the people find peace. 🕊️
They're not celebrating pain...They're celebrating They're own freedom!
@@Serenitie3 people should care of their own business. if that person owns that property and decides to have that in their property, well that is their problem not mines lol. you can't live in peace anymore in your own house. majority of White folks are snitches lol
@@browncatwithblurredbackgro2461 Mental illness needs to be addressed and looks like action is taking place. I for one will also celebrate when they move out
there celebrating freedom. PERIOD
$1 million with all the trash
well if the House get sold there is one Problem it might still have the mold and all over the House it might have to be tore down and needs to rebulit to put a clean House to move in or they will get sick living there
Hoarders should be committed!!!
Burn the house down.
I was thinking the same thing. Torch it and rebuild.
@@LT-je2sz Absolutely. If this is what the outside looks like, can only imagine what the condition of the inside is like. Thanks
@@kittenpawsbb Yep.
Obvious the city told the owner to clean it or sell it or the property will be designated a medical & public health hazard and would be confiscated.
That real estate company is probably contracted by the city to handle 'problem-properties'.
Very surprised that the news company did not contact LAPD to research any criminal history at the property.
Very happy for the neighbors.
The structure will probably need to be gutted or torn down.....that's o.k....that means everyones' property values will go up when a new house is built.
Hey news editors > 'infamous' not 'famous'.
I'll buy it for $10 dollar 💵💰
Dude said block party damn lmao 🤣
some people love to collect useless stuff - I've heard its a sickness. I had a small flashlight addiction, it seemed every time I went shopping I came home with a new flashlight.
Good riddance to the filthy, hoarding neighbors. As a potential buyer I'd be concerned about what's in the walls and the years of neglect. I'd bulldoze the house, disinfect the land and rebuild!
And then it back fired on them with drug dealer moving in😂
Thank goodness that this mess is going to be gone. For good hopefully.
Will sell for under asking... CASH... be demolished and a new 2-story with pool take it's place. Then flipped!
Neighbors will see $$, and more start selling!
Where's Kevin? Looks like it could be wedge deal?
try that in a small town
Yeah....they so not selling it.
How mash for tha house I buy!
I Hope They find a Good Home at a Junk Yard where they can create all the mess they want Far Away from Schools and Children like Tijuana or Ensenada
There are children in Tijuana too. What’s wrong with you
@@ot7stan207 in México, the carteles give you more opportunity than school lmfao
@@ot7stan207 Children live in junkyards there? How sad. 😥
@@ot7stan207 yes there is, but There's further hidden places thats far from the schools of those kids, it's all dirt, I've seen it in person, There's alot of land that's far away from where the merkados, schools, houses are so go see for yourself they can used that land for All there Junk 😉
The owners took the saying: 'there is money in trash' literally
Hoarder-like conditions?!?
Did your lawyers make you put that in, or don't you have eyes?
As they should be concerned 😟
Good
How much is the house ? Hope they won’t mind my Classic cars 💁♂️🤔🤣😱😎🤫
So American... If you see a someone in a wheelchair the first reaction and second is to kick them out of it for being in your way.
The property and the trash is a problem, but it's still HUMAN BEINGS involved, don't threat humans as trash just because they are broken!.
The only ones treating themselves as trash is them. 🤦♀ Why do the neighbors have to have their health threatened? They have refused help many times not only from neighbors but also from Health officials.
Who cares, they are disgusting and crazy. The neighborhood should have lit a match to that house years ago.
How about you house these 2 people then? You'll see how fast they'd turn your home into a literal dumping ground.
Troll.
@@christianamericandominican2470 hello my fellow Dominican 😉
$1 my best offer take it or leave it.
I hope the have 80s music at the block party
The last Guy is a G. No Ducks 😂🤣
i got about tree fiddy
Come to South Central LA You can get away with anything
ill buy it
You couldn't even afford gas
Good thing the hoarder is selling his house one less idiot in the neighborhood.
Who'd want it turn it into the garbage home ugh 😩 bugs no thanks 👍
Eviction moratorium backlogs. Good luck evicting seller after sale.
That applies to renters. After sale, a new owner can have the sheriff evict them immediately as trespassers.
Why as neighbors combine effort and buy Her out?
Just a thought?
I'm sure all the sharky house flippers will be fighting for it, I feel bad for the elderly mom.
The news is trash (pun intended). Where did the owners get all that stuff? How did they get it to the house? That's a lot of stuff for a mom and a son.
they are moving somewhere where they can hoard in peace
I pass
Well that NASTY home owner caused the neighbors stress!!!
He is going to sell it to his brother who is also a hoarder.
Bye
Hopefully we are invited to that block party.
Yeah right like my wifes brother plansca BBQ then he brings nothing and we all pay but him
Stinky poo 😤😱🤮 house. It aint no fun if the neighbors cant have some 😆😅🤣😅
A failure of law
The piggiest ppl in LA. What a rep
The next pandemic brewing in there
They should be living in the jungle not in the city
worse if the new owner is again a hoarder XD XD XD
The Reality Sign says “Fine Estates”… uh no ma’am Trailer Estate.
It's going for $875,000.
One of the neighbors should buy the house.
That neighborhood would absolutely love me with my Harley on bassani fishtail pipes and my straightpiped benz 😅🤣🤣🤣
Asking price $800,000.00.
