unfortunately he will just fill the yard with more junk . . . and die a very lonely man. I had a neighbor who bought the house next door to him to hoard stuff there instead of house he lived in, but he ended up filling up both houses and both yards. he died soon after.

Was gonna say for sure it’s dirty. Plus the dude I was his hands and can tell that’s grime so it kinda tells you his lifestyle.
One thing to hoard within your house if your super possessive and want to keep things protected. But leaving that much junk to build up and bacteria/pests gathering it ain’t about being possessive but wanting to actually live like garbage.
Next main question is this: the stuff is cleaned up now BUT will the person redo all that again and this time double down by getting lawyers (if he gog the money) to fend his junk on his property?

I think it's sad that this person's mental health issues have gotten in the way of them living a healthy lifestyle, and while as a neighbor I'm sure it's frustrating to live near that property, but this person's struggle doesn't need to be a headline and they don't need to bombarded with questions from the media. Hoarding is pretty common (this is obviously an extreme example) and comes in many different forms. I hope people out there can at least have some compassion toward this person. A huge part of their life and comfort was taken away when they showed up to clean, and I'm sure it was very, very difficult for this person to let go of. I hope they get the help they need.

What's crazy, is that I heard of something like this... but the hoarding doesn't stop and the trash comes back in days

My mom's a hoarder. 100% when there's new space, hoarders get more stuff to fill it. It just continues until they get treatment or die. Unfortunately many choose not to get treatment.

If that man doesn’t get some kind of help, this situation will repeat itself.

If he was fined and had to pay the expenses incurred to haul off the stuff, he MIGHT be inclined to not let his hoarding habit become everyone else’s problem again. Maybe.

I hope not only do they get rid of the physical trash but also help the man if ever he has any psychological issues because some people who hoard have psychological problems. I mean its nice for the neighbors and all but it would be so much nicer if we could help someone who might also be struggling deep inside.

Incredibly unfair to neighbors! That's not only an eyesore, but it's going to attract insects (like termites and roaches) and vermin which could end up in their homes.
