Enjoyed the different shots in the video! I’d personally love to see a return to 4.0mm travel length switches, I’d also love to see a Bsun LY stem full nylon housing switch (happy to be corrected if it already exists).
@@TofuTypes hahaha, I have some mx blacks that i’ve been too lazy to lube / film, but excited to try them on an alu plate Arc60 I just ordered. Hard to beat the classics!
If hall effect switches become a thing they need a way to incorporate a pole. It sound super weird and empty without that pole and especially with a gaping hole in the middle of the switch. Also, the akko snow blue greys are surprizingly super interesting. Dispite being made of the most basic materials it has such an even sound on a board. I can only really describe it as "stony" but thats not even a good desc.
Hey Tofu, have you tried Creamsicles? Trying to create some and wondering if I could use my Tungstens' stems instead of Creams' and I don't know if it will have interference or not/feel different
i have not LOL i never bought tangie housings since I didn't like the color orange. As far as tungsten stems go you can, it'll have a slightly longer travel
I'm really weird, I like the older linears like creams, alpacas, banana splits, black ink v2s, tealios. The newest switch I use is probably gateron cjs. I never really bought into the long pole hype although I daily milky top creamsicles because of the extremely quick actuation while gaming. I'm sure there are a lot of bangers out there now, I just don't see a need when I already have way more switches than I do keyboards and I have a quite a few keyboards.
Any good recommendations for a switch on a PC Kohaku? Something besides the normal MX black on alu. I’d be especially curious if there was a tactile you thought would sound good
Honestly most of these new switches are all good, its just finding your personal preference and going from there. The market is beyond SATURATED at this point.
oh man, ummm my go to right now (since it's one of the few hypertactiles I still have on hand) is just zykos (zelios bottom, halo clear stem, cherry top, and i think like a 68g slow spring). I will say if you wanted to make your current tactile switch even more tactile (and get rid of leaf ping), take a small piece of deskey scrap film and stick it behind the leaf. It'll slightly push the leaf further out and increase tactility :)
@@TofuTypes Thanks for the quick reply and suggestions!! I'm currently using WS Browns (not sure if you have tried them), however, though I like them, they are really inconsistent and I am trying to find a suitable replacement. Just got my hands on Jwick Voyagers and have Snow S2V2's on the way! Do you have any other suggestions as I believe zykos involve too much for me? That would be amazing. Thanks again!! :)) P.S. I've seen the zenclack turbulence and KTT monochrome onyx as well, however, they are currently not in stock/sold out here in Australia at the moment... :((
We seem to have a linear for every taste. Time to explore tactiles and the intricacies of bump/leaf interactions and how they can affect tactility.

i didn't think about it too much until I took inventory of my boards and a vast majority are mx blacks/nixies/browns LMAO

@@ImOnMy116 i may or may not have entered a bulk order of like 250 odd hyperglide blacks so i feel you there LOL it's always been cherry xD
@@TofuTypes haha, dang that’s a lot of switches! would be curious to get your take on the mx2a switches when they’re widely available
Love how you played around with all of the angles today! Great video man!!
thank you bb ;)

Can't wait for the platinum plated long pole silent hall effect linearn't switch coming in 2025

mx browns LOL mmmm i guess it would depend on your sound preference. Geon blacks could be a good answer too
u should try the flower garden switches!
First honestly i feel the same about the Ly stem
Did you 3d print those multiple keyboard stands?
nooo i bought them off etsy i think?
@@TofuTypes Found them! Thanks!
