Three little bops, directed by Friz Freleng and staring Stan Freberg
Three Little Pigs are travelling entertainers, moving from straw to wood, to brick nightclubs, playing swinging tunes for high-class, "with it" crowds, but an uncool Big Bad Wolf keeps intruding on their act with his "corny horn" and uses it to blow down their nightclubs when they throw him out - until they are playing in their brick club and the Wolf tries a more drastic, explosive method for destroying the "House of Bricks".

"I wish my brother George was here", is what Liberace who was a flamboyant pianist😏 would say while playing the piano.
May 16, 1919
February 4, 1987
George was not only Liberace's older brother, he was the musical director on his TV show in the mid-1950's {and occasionally appeared on camera as well, playing violin).
He died two years after I was born
one of the best cartoons eva
“You gotta get hot to play real cool.”
What does that mean
@@SilverScribe85 It’s said at the end of the cartoon. It’s a pun. Playing “hot” musically is being exceptionally good, fast and exciting. And being cool, especially in jazz, is playing in the groove with added extra stylings that are pleasing and out if the ordinary. The pun is that he went to hell to get hot, rather than played well. And now he’s cool.
@@LAGreg123I understood the pun, trust me but I wondered what stopped the Wolf from playing that well before?
@@SilverScribe85He was a real square man!
One of Friz Freleng's best cartoons. Music always brought out the best in him. Great story in verse by Warren Foster. And Stan Freberg is the perfect narrator against Shorty Rogers' music.
The cartoon was made in 1956 but one of my favorite cartoons
Inika learned," You got to get hot to play real cool"!! 🎶
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE OF ALL TIMES....I HAVE EVERY WORD COMMITTED TO MEMORY AND CAN SING ALONG AT ANYTIME!
I like how they took a classic children's story and reimagined a few parts by doing it as only Warner Brothers could during that time. This particular cartoon is definitely one of my favourites of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies.
4:08 he’s impersonating Liberace.
Yes, I burst out laughing on that..
My favorite animated cartoon animation of all time❤😂😅😊😂
I too was born & raised on Looney Tunes - this is my all-time fave
It's always been the ukulele and dance for me
It's the only original _Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes_ that didn't feature the voice of Mel Blanc. Every voice in this was done by Stan Freberg.
And they used the genetic The End title, instead of That's all, folks! end title.
One of my favorites thank you helping relive my youth LOL!
Wait... the wolf shows up with "red rimmed eyes"... so he was having a toke before he came to the gig???
Let’s swing it, cats!
I like that woman’s bracelets
some very gifted musicians worked on these Looney tunes cartoons...
So are they rapping in 1957 over jazz music? I do believe they are,🤔🤨😁
The three little pigs crawled out of the rubble,
This big bad wolf gives us nothing but trouble,
We won’t be bothered by his windy tricks,
The next place we play must be made of bricks,
Sturdy place this house of bricks Built in 1776🤨
Bars 😂🤣😂
Well the Big Bad Wolf was really gone,
and with him went his corny horn.
Went out of this world without a trace,
didn't go to heaven, was the other place😏
Bars 😂🤣😂
You know, unintentionally your talking matches with the beat.
It is kinda funny how the wolf seems much more competent with the ukulele and drums.
I have always loved this Jazzy music version of the three little pigs story on Looney Tunes since I was little!😉🤣👍🏿
I don’t think I’ve ever come into the middle of this one. If it’s on, I’m staying till the end!
This cartoon started my journey loving this music when I seem this cartoon in the 1980s at 8 years old... my foot never stopped stomping
LIFE LESSON: If you have an opportunity to learn an instrument, take it. 😂
I’m just glad that I didn’t have to die & go to hell before learning how to play my guitar 😂
You go, girl
I'll always love this episode ❤
Thank you Inka. This takes me back to my childhood, when I would race home from school to watch 'The Bugs Bunny Show' (at 4pm) followed by 'Gilligans Island' or 'Addams Family', great stuff. My friends and I absolutely loved this cartoon, just brilliant stuff by all concerned!! Still a brilliant groove and an absolute hoot!!
This channel gives me hope that Millennials and Gen-Zers will keep these cartoons remembered.
Love your channel!
All I can say is "Go Cat Go"
My absolute favourite cartoon I still have ot on VHS! they be jamming!
I'm gonna use that song as my ring tone
Great idea! How do you do that??
Loved this one growing up. First time I saw it was at Mr Gattis pizza.
my Mr Gattis closed down last year! There is still one close to me but I thought this particular one was the best. When I walked in the door they would start making the request pizza that I wanted on the buffet.
Big bad wolf daddy reference
It's supposed to be bebop, but it's actually early rock n roll!
Isn’t that what rock & roll was called before the title stuck? Bebop
@@RageTVHTX maybe Dizzy would dispute that, but it's a fair assessment
It's boogie-woogie, which is a part of swing, jump blues, rockabilly, and early rock 'n roll.
Great reaction.
“Sturdy place this house of bricks built in 1776” is a lyric that has been in my brain since my earliest childhood memories.
Hi Mrs. Chung. So I found a cartoon called Baton Bunny starring Bugs Bunny. It debuted in 1959. Do you want to react to that on your next new video? Or do you want to react to something else?
This is easily one of the top ten best looney tunes of all time.
Simply amazing.
I’m a cartoonist myself. I hope one day to achieve a cartoon like this. Classic story, perfect jazz theme.
From the looney Looney Looney bugs bunny movie starring Mel Blanc June foray and Frank Welker
I wonder whats next
I had recorded this off Saturday morning cartoons on VHS cassette decades ago and haven't been able to find it since. Can you put a link to the full clip you got this from? Would greatly appreciate it!
Demolition expert
I just realized after first seeing this probably 35 yeasr ago- this cartoon is kind of dark.
If you want a cartoon with another catchy song, watch the Disney short “In the Bag” starring Humphrey the Bear.
I would ask recommend “The Abominable Snow Rabbit”
Thanks for the earworm... o/~ First you stick a rag, put it in the bag bump bump... o/~Major memory from 1st grade (1974). We got to watch this in class as part of an anti littering lesson, and then at recess we were all mangling the song.
The music is actually top tier and she talking over it 😢
Yayyyyyyy
min 5:31 😁
foundation of the illuminati
But know that you’ve seen this, now you need to watch the Three Little Pigs as read by Christopher Walken
Next time do the one with the singing frog.
It's pronounced Freeburg.
Aristocats reference
Mulan gong sound effects
Never caught it/cute cartoon🍷🐾
More jump jive than rock a billy.
Where did you find the full episode?
That Wolf Was Off Tune.
We played in the West
We played in the East
We heard the most
But he was the least
@@NJGuy1973 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Boy they are really avoiding this cartoon that they have to block it with white stripes and having a grown woman introduction and telling the story.
The brick house was strong just like Hercules
the uke solo wasn't bad but it was old=fashioned. out of date style and song.
Yall talk to much on these
