OBVIOUSLY the point of law enforcement is to enforce laws (ensure people follow the law). DUH. Do you regularly say obvious things and troll people into arguing with you?
Citizens are naturally protected when criminals are removed or rehabilitated by law enforcement, thus making the community safer which is an end goal.

This law is a enhancer. It's similar to hate crime laws. You get charged with the underlying offense, and on top of that you get charged with the the road rage, which increases the potential sentence. It also can create a chargeable offense, if the behavior falls short of the existing laws, but is still deemed a problem. Think about a driver who comes close to ramming you or forcing you off the road, but doesn't make any contact. They might not have violated any existing laws, but the behavior is still bad. This new law allows you to punish them too.

As an OTR trucker I've certainly encountered plenty of road rage out here. I feel the only way to rectify the issue would be to completely overhaul our licensing and driver education system, and ramp up the penalties for bad driving behaviors. There are far too many drivers out here on the road that shouldn't be behind the wheel in the first place.
Another issue is urban planners and developers in the government laying out out cities poorly. We need better availability for people to be able to walk or bicycle for home to a store or work. It doesn't cost anywhere near as much to build and maintain footpaths separate from roads and adequate sidewalks in areas that lack them.

@@kevino4846 Don't need to take someones property, just revoke their license and make them attend a full safety and training class.(Verifiable with the state DOT/DMV) I'd say at bare minimum the course should be 4-6 weeks, and be fully comprehensive in class and on road or closed course. Pretty sure they'll either behave after, or they can go right back to the same safety course 'again' if they want to act out again.
Pretty sure nickel and diming them and making them spend a period of time in a training course would be enough of a deterrent.
Or they can just car pool, take public transit like a train or bus, a taxi, a bicycle, or walk. Public transport works better when there's more demand for it and it's self funded by those demanding customers. Plus hey then it cuts down on traffic congestion, reduces emissions, reduces wear and tear on roads, brings down insurance premiums, and improves overall safety on the road.
Personally I like walking or riding my bicycle around. I keep a folding bicycle in my truck with me, in case I wanna explore or just go grab groceries. Keeps me in shape too.
(No shortage of walking blimps at the truck stops 😅)

Because they take less crap from people in little cars LOL. A little car usually isn't going to pick a fight with a truck, the car will just be destroyed or under the truck while the truck will drive home so there isn't much a fight, but when it's a truck well it can take some abuse and if it's not against another truck then well unless the car causes the truck to roll over then it doesn't have much a chance.
Your seeing alot of these pickups in these situations because there are MILLIONS of them sold, most men prefer a truck as we don't urinate sitting down so we don't want a little soft car LOL. Not defending the ram driver, but it makes you wonder what took place before the footage. Maybe the pip squeek in the car pulled out in front of him going 15 under and brake checked? Always two sides to a story. Been driving truck for 17 years and just about seen it all. In my conclusion it’s safe to say more than half driving out here shouldn’t have licenses

Nobody enforces speed limits unless you're into triple digits, even then it's iffy to see a racer get stopped.
It's so bad many drivers claim you're "impeding traffic" if you're doing 0-5 over and they want to blast by doing 100+.

They don’t stop 🛑 at signs…. Drivers speed past you to cut you off then break check you. IT’S INSANE!!!😤 oh and phones in hand and ear buds in….

@@darkynhalvos The law is the law and impeding traffic is impeding traffic. Driving in the left lane and not allowing people to pass is illegal. Also not your problem to enforce the laws just follow them so YOU don't create a bigger problem and we have people weaving in and out. This is far more dangerous than someone going fast. In fact speed is not really a problem at all. Autobahn stats back this up as they have less accidents in areas that do not have speed zones than US highways.

Left lane hogs cause most of the 'rage 'incidents I see. Follow someone in the left who isn't passing for miles, and a whole line of cars vie to move right and back again. Most states have laws to prevent camping in the left driving lane.
Cracking down on left lane cruisers would stop a significant amount of 'rage'.

There is no such thing as a fast lane. There is only the speed limit, and a colloquial term that somehow made its way into law, despite its inaccuracy.
But I do agree, more enforcement should be administered on the small things. Can't tell you how many times I've nearly been hit, because people run stop signs and say they were "stopping," when they were doing a California Maneuver.

@@takedown205productions6 “There is no such thing as a fast lane. “ We concur. Exactly the truth. I hope you realize how many bed wetters you will upset because you spoke the facts. After all, they have a “right” to speed. Excessive vehicle speed is one of the leading causes of accidents. But don't tell that to the passing lane bed wetters. As for traffic enforcement, it is nonexistent in Phoenix. Every day I travel down the same stretch of street with a posted limit of 40 mph. If you're not making 20 over, then you travel with life in hands. No turning/lane change signals. No stopping for red lights. Red light running, texting while driving. None of this seems to bother the “passing lane” bed wetters. Just get out of their way. After all, speeding is their god-given right......A god-given right to be the first at the next red light.
