I like the clear plexi bottom also...reminds me of the old school Phoenix Gold amps from back in the day. Just lacking the 24 karat gold plated circuit board!
I really enjoy your Amp Test Tuesdays Steve. Keep it up bro. You have really inspired me man. I like seeing what's good and what's crap. I thank you very much man.
At this point in time - I've been running 2 of these amps on 4 dc audio level 4 12s for 5 years. all is still perfect and mostly bulletproof for the $$$. I also have two AT 200.4 for the mids and highs. They are equally as great and reliable. I have found that using the 200.4 for tweeters is a no go, Can't eliminate the hiss at zero volume for anything. A vintage Eclipse 32430 premium handles the 4 x Hertz super tweeters very well though. Just revisited the video that sold me this amp and wanted to share and Thank Steve for his honesty and efforts. TRUST
PLEASE BUY A SHARK 2500D cause obviously alot of guys are hating on this amp everywhere and very curious to see what it does. PLEASE DO THIS, PLEASE. Many are curious about what it can put out seeing its a 100.00 2500 watt amp.
There's a lot of setup for each of these amp tests, thank you Steve for putting a glimpse of that setup work into this video, for a proper test, that amp has to be dialed in perfectly, and you do it every time. I wish I could afford a full set of your products, I might have them someday. But first, gotta finish college!
Steve im with you, i love the way this amp looks, with the clear bottom, the led lights, and the bass knob remote on/off switch with built in volt meter, as far as i see this passed with flying colors, and other manufactures need to take notice, this is a product that well make people happy
you might get within 25-30hz that way. Maybe closer. But that is $600 for a termlab, you have to set it up, you have to put the mic in the car which will also change the reading. But even then, with one amp, its not THAT critical. The CC-1's accuracy becomes important when using more then one channel that require the SAME frequency setting. A good example would be 2 amps, on 2 woofers in the same box. You definitely do not want one amp at 115hz and the other at 71. You want EXACT.
Very impressive and props to Coleman for putting out a good product for people at a great price. Good work as always Steve showin the people these tests
its all good bro, i actually don't have a large enough power supply for the 5000d unless i hook it up to my truck. I am working on doing a new bench with at least 10 or 15 14v batteries on it for the larger amps. Anything over 2500 watts rapes my 3 14v batts and i have to charge longer in between runs.
The crossover is set to the -3dB point on a typical (Butterworth - 12dB/Oct) crossover curve. -3dB would be 1/2 power for electrical signals. The proper way to set it with a DMM would be to disconnect the speakers, play a tone of the frequency you want it set at with the crossover off (or all the way up, if LPF; or all the way down, if HPF.) Note the voltage, then square it. Divide that answer by two then get it's square root. That is the voltage it needs to be set at. Adjust filter accordingly.
Wouldn't have expected a amp that's good looking to actually make power too, pretty neat some company's are still putting dedication into all aspects of their products. Good video Steve, can't wait till next Tuesday to see what's up next! I can donate my old Kenwood to you so you don't have to keep buying all these amps.
I have to say for all car audio addicts out there this is it !!! We have begged and yelled at manufacturers to make amps like this again and for a new company to produce something with features, looks and a price to match sign me up And before i forget Steve is the Only one 10 times out of 10 on point haters be damned
I've got a CT Sounds 125.4 AB Class amp running my mids and highs in my car and I love it. Such a nice looking amp, and about the size of the 1400.1d but rated to do 190W RMS x4 at 2 ohms per channel, so rated for 760W RMS in an AB Class amp at its size, I love CT Sounds.
why do you feel like your bragging? your point was right on. For years I've been guessing at crossovers and gains. Wont be long and you will be seeing an order from me. Keep it up man.
this may sound like a dumb question, but do you guys also do like small setups for cars such as just a stereo and say a 12 inch running at 200 watts nominal? Or are you mainly focused on these huge sound systems?
Damn that a great amp. Does great power, the bass knob power on is the sickest since maybe while waiting at the store with the car off you can turn off the amp so it doesn't kill the battery
Only thing i wish you would have showed is how the dyno voltage stood up to the volt meter on the bass knob, shows how accurate the bass knob voltage is, other than that i am very pleased with this video
Any chance you can give those SounDigital amps a run on the dyno? I know you HAD one in a previous video... Im sure we all would love to see them run!!
Finally!!!! I have this amp and love it. Also a matching 4 channel. Coleman and his company a great to deal with.. Steve you should try out on the 16v bank.. it says they can handle it. Great job on the video too homie
That amp should get a golden pass :D I mean.. it's not every day you see an amp that puts out double it's rated power! 1200w in the manual, 2400w in a realistic scenario on music simulation (though on 14.4v) but HELLO.. When was the last time you saw an amplifier perform that well?
Bradley W there's not boss amp that does even close to 2400 watts dynamic, they are junk. Ct sounds actually makes really good amps to be honest. I love my ct sounds at900.1d
Calvin Deniero It does about 1500 @ 12.8v and about 1900-2000 @ 14.4v. Many uses it to power the 800w rms meso 8 subs and the amp puts out over the sub's rating in a dual setup. Those amps are beast. I have the AT-150.6 (6 channel) that will power my whole system. It's rated @ 1500 but will do around 2100 @ 14.4 :)
Sick amp with even sicker numbers wow....Would really like to see what a soundstream rubicon 2500 would do on the dyno as so many all over keep saying that it does not do rated power at all. I would love to see this proven to be either true or false in one of your episodes and i know the amp dyno can do this! Love the videos keep up the good work! Thanks!
hey meade do you still have those little sound digital amps kickin around? thought it would be cool to see if they put out the power they claim. i know they sounded pretty awesome on your test bench. figured itd be a good one to test cause you dont have to buy another amp if its still around.
I have two of these amps about to go on 4 Audio Technix Strato 10's. I have a D3100 in the back and a D3400 under the hood. I'll be curious to see what kinda current they both draw strapped. Thats an interesting question. Have you ever amp dynos 2 amps strapped? Great video! I love Colemans products! LIKED! FAVED! SHARED!
hey, ive heard that the apcl15001d can do rated 1500wrms@1ohm 16v, but i heard that it can also run stable at .5ohms 16v and do some number near 1800w its about $150 and it looks very appetizing to someone on a budget, it would be nice if you could test that and btw your truck is absolutely sick, keep up the good work, amp test Tuesday is very entertaining to someone like me.
hmmm... do watts only say something about the sound? what about the damping factor? some amps are really powerful but how good can they handle a woofer?
But would this amp be close to the Memphis pr1.1000 @ 1 ohm? I would just get the Memphis but it's hard to find it now and idk about the newer prx1.1000. They don't have a fan like the pr1.1000. Let me know I'm interested in this ct 1400.1
dunno if anyone has asked or not, but, have you ever adjusted the bass boost on amps to see if it gives it a little more power? i know bass boost is a nono but just wondered what difference it would make on the ad1, it would be a little clipped, but to just give an idea i know clipping is bad and what knot, just to get an idea of what a "user" might come in contact with if they dont have a dd1 to adjust it by
Do you think one of these amps could push 2 JL 12w7 to their maximum capabilities? I'm trying to find a good amp for a good price. I know that sounds weird having 2 w7's but I got them used. Haha.
Would this amp be better than a pure audio pa3000.1 amp? I've had a memphis audio pr1.1000, Rockford fosgate p8002, and a powerbass 1000 watt hooked up to my two re audio subs that all seemed to do better than the pure audio amp. The memphis pr1.1000 is a badass amp @ 1 ohm. I borrowed it from a friend and gave it back when he needed it. My Rockford p8002 got stolen:( but them two amps seems to be way way better then the pure audio pa3000.1. Pure audio seems to put out dirty power especially at 1 ohm...
I don't know the watts but on Facebook I'm apart of the CTSounds page and we have several members run thus thing at .5 ohm on multiple wokfers no problem
meade, do you know if this amp is efficient? im interested in this amp for a while now and your vid helped a bit more. its this amp, fosgate 1500cp, or skar 1500 for my vvx 10s
@ steve meade, you think you could test out the belva bb5000d amplifier? ive been checkin it out and alot of good reviews about the amp online... good vids on youtube. just curious of what kind of exact numbers it can do and you are the only person ive seen on youtube to do these awsum amp tests !! so if you could check that amp out it would be much appreciated !
Steve can u do a amp test on the optidrive 2k? I wanna know if I'll be getting the power it states at .5 ohms before I go and spend a shit ton of money on it

anyone think Jay-bird was upset his LS start up kit didn't really come? hahahhah
I love my CT Sounds amps! Thanks for doing this review.
I really enjoy your Amp Test Tuesdays Steve. Keep it up bro. You have really inspired me man. I like seeing what's good and what's crap. I thank you very much man.

I love these amp test Tuesdays :) keep em' coming steve
Ive had this amp for 4 years still going strong nice to see its rated power
PLEASE BUY A SHARK 2500D cause obviously alot of guys are hating on this amp everywhere and very curious to see what it does. PLEASE DO THIS, PLEASE. Many are curious about what it can put out seeing its a 100.00 2500 watt amp.
The fact that you even have segments like this is awesome. Good shit
There's a lot of setup for each of these amp tests, thank you Steve for putting a glimpse of that setup work into this video, for a proper test, that amp has to be dialed in perfectly, and you do it every time. I wish I could afford a full set of your products, I might have them someday. But first, gotta finish college!
This amp is a beast and for the price yes thanks STEVE appreciate the test I want one now maybe 2
That's a beautiful Amp and the results are even better!
They are very nice amps. Have sold several of these. From your daily driver to full competition builds. This amp is strong!
Steve im with you, i love the way this amp looks, with the clear bottom, the led lights, and the bass knob remote on/off switch with built in volt meter, as far as i see this passed with flying colors, and other manufactures need to take notice, this is a product that well make people happy

Buying one today!!! Always able to come to ur channel and do homework haha
Very impressive and props to Coleman for putting out a good product for people at a great price. Good work as always Steve showin the people these tests
The ONLY reason i look forward to Tuesday's !! Thanks Steve!
its all good bro, i actually don't have a large enough power supply for the 5000d unless i hook it up to my truck. i wish i could have won this off you steve! thats a nice amp G

actually, iirc there was one that someone did (on the ad-1) and it didn't do rated power at all.
why do you feel like your bragging? your point was right on. For years I've been guessing at crossovers and gains. Wont be long and you will be seeing an order from me. Keep it up man.
Really stepped up the quality on this ATT (Amp Test Tuesday) I love it!
this may sound like a dumb question, but do you guys also do like small setups for cars such as just a stereo and say a 12 inch running at 200 watts nominal? Or are you mainly focused on these huge sound systems?
That would be a little sq setup. I think that is what he aimed for on the Lexus.
You should do a test on the crescendo 5500's
nice test, good editing, I was a little suprised by the powerful results, clean looking amp
Thanks Steve!!
Impressive cost to performance ratio on all audio technix/Ct Sounds products. Love the bass knob with the built in on/off and voltmeter.
i set the gain with the maximum amount of bass knob possible before it gets dirty.
Went out and bought this amp because of this test :) Keep up the good work Steve
Amp is indeed powerful and efficient.. Cant wait to get my next one and have them strapped.
They are not two separate channels. They're connected in parallel at the inside. Thats just to make it easier to connect two woofers.
What yappened to amp test tuesday man, I was loving it
Wow that remote is sick. I think other companies should take notes. What kick ass feature.
Damn that a great amp. Does great power, the bass knob power on is the sickest since maybe while waiting at the store with the car off you can turn off the amp so it doesn't kill the battery
Could I use an Oscilloscope and a function generator to set gains?
Only thing i wish you would have showed is how the dyno voltage stood up to the volt meter on the bass knob, shows how accurate the bass knob voltage is, other than that i am very pleased with this video
Hell yeah!!! CT sounds ftw
I have them myself. Plays really good with the Kicker ZX 1000.1
Rated somewhere between 1100-1200W RMS.
You can purchase the amp here: www.amazon.com/CT-Sounds-AT-1400-1D-Amplifier-2000w/dp/B01M14D0BN/
Thanks man! Great amps BTW! I love mine (AT-900.1d)! The bass knob with the built in volt meter is a nice touch!
CT Sounds CT sounds is a horrible company I hope they close their doors Soon or honor the warranty they have
Shit at this point I've had cheap stuff last longer ct is just garbage if you ask me
CT Sounds There's always someone sippin' Haterade when referring to someone else's product......foh!
My at125.4 has worked great so far I'm hoping it stays that way 🤔 But I did have a set of meso components burn up in 3 days
steve do a test on the soundqubed Q1 2200d please
Evan Hague They do right at 2200 or a little more.
They're solid amps
Any chance you can give those SounDigital amps a run on the dyno? I know you HAD one in a previous video... Im sure we all would love to see them run!!
awesome if i lived over there id probably send all my amps in....... been waiting for another amp test .......preciate it man
Plexi cover... OLD SCHOOL (FLORIDA REAL)USAMPS STYLE!!!!!!
Runnningonempty nice I still have two US años I loved them amps
Another MOST EXCELLENT ATT brutha!! What a SWEET looking amp, have not heard of that brand, must check it out!! Mahalo!!
Finally!!!! I have this amp and love it. Also a matching 4 channel. Coleman and his company a great to deal with.. Steve you should try out on the 16v bank.. it says they can handle it. Great job on the video too homie
That amp should get a golden pass :D

Bradley W there's not boss amp that does even close to 2400 watts dynamic, they are junk. Ct sounds actually makes really good amps to be honest. I love my ct sounds at900.1d
G6 Liara That's 2400 watts of burst power (dynamic) on that amp.
Not continuous (rms)
The Saint would you happen to know how much current this amp pulls?
Calvin Deniero It does about 1500 @ 12.8v and about 1900-2000 @ 14.4v.
Many uses it to power the 800w rms meso 8 subs and the amp puts out over the sub's rating in a dual setup.
Those amps are beast.
I have the AT-150.6 (6 channel) that will power my whole system.
It's rated @ 1500 but will do around 2100 @ 14.4 :)
did you ever get to test those huge 15kw RF amps you had before? (i dont know if you still have them, its been a while since ive watched your videos)
Sick amp with even sicker numbers wow....Would really like to see what a soundstream rubicon 2500 would do on the dyno as so many all over keep saying that it does not do rated power at all. I would love to see this proven to be either true or false in one of your episodes and i know the amp dyno can do this!

Thanks!
That is forever in my search history now...
hey meade do you still have those little sound digital amps kickin around? thought it would be cool to see if they put out the power they claim. i know they sounded pretty awesome on your test bench. figured itd be a good one to test cause you dont have to buy another amp if its still around.
well i regret searching for Lexington steel lol
Made the same mistake. Damn curiosity.
yea i found some dildos haha
MARINLAW2 lmfao XD
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I notice those rca plugs are hi end. Is their a difference compared to regular twisted, like the ones that come in a amp wiring kit?
I have two of these amps about to go on 4 Audio Technix Strato 10's. I have a D3100 in the back and a D3400 under the hood. I'll be curious to see what kinda current they both draw strapped. Thats an interesting question. Have you ever amp dynos 2 amps strapped? Great video! I love Colemans products! LIKED! FAVED! SHARED!
Damn good results. Well done Coleman.
the dynamic power run simulates when you are playing music, like driving in your car
like the look of that amp, remminds me of the older profile art series amps.
This amp reminds me of the old school LA sound amps lol. The clear bottom is sick fo sho. impressive numbers for the price.
Any chance you have the numbers for this amp at 2 ohms at 12.8 ? Thanks love your vids.
Im thinking about that also, apparently they are exactly the same amps other than the ct sounds has the bass knob.
Nice! I enjoy all of your vids Steve. Keep the videos coming! SMD!
smd brand stuff allways makes me smile :D
hey, ive heard that the apcl15001d can do rated 1500wrms@1ohm 16v, but i heard that it can also run stable at .5ohms 16v and do some number near 1800w its about $150 and it looks very appetizing to someone on a budget, it would be nice if you could test that and btw your truck is absolutely sick, keep up the good work, amp test Tuesday is very entertaining to someone like me.
Good job Coleman. That amps a powerhouse.
hmmm... do watts only say something about the sound? what about the damping factor? some amps are really powerful but how good can they handle a woofer?

That's very good but is the amp better than a Rockford Fosgate 1501 BD
meade916 could you explain the difference between RMS and the dynamic power ratings?
dunno if anyone has asked or not, but, have you ever adjusted the bass boost on amps to see if it gives it a little more power?
i know bass boost is a nono but just wondered what difference it would make on the ad1, it would be a little clipped, but to just give an idea
i know clipping is bad and what knot, just to get an idea of what a "user" might come in contact with if they dont have a dd1 to adjust it by
wow thats really impressive...now how durable are they? and what about overheating?
do you know what's the matching high amp pair for this 1400.1 amp?
Do you think one of these amps could push 2 JL 12w7 to their maximum capabilities? I'm trying to find a good amp for a good price. I know that sounds weird having 2 w7's but I got them used. Haha.
test your crown PA amps!
Would this amp be better than a pure audio pa3000.1 amp? wrong. I bet you don't get within 25hz of your number doing it like that.
You should do contests every week to give away the amps you test on amp test tuesday. Also, you should test the Pioneer GMD9601 1200w.
dude that is sick how the amp can be turned off and on with the button, and the voltage is on the button. Cool!
I know this is an old post.... but have you or anyone you know tested this amp at .5ohm? Just wondered how they held up daily at that impedance.
I don't know the watts but on Facebook I'm apart of the CTSounds page and we have several members run thus thing at .5 ohm on multiple wokfers no problem
meade, do you know if this amp is efficient? im interested in this amp for a while now and your vid helped a bit more. its this amp, fosgate 1500cp, or skar 1500 for my vvx 10s
do an amp test tuesday of audio pipe 3000d they claim 3k rms for $300 seems to good to be true
It's true
@ steve meade, you think you could test out the belva bb5000d amplifier? ive been checkin it out and alot of good reviews about the amp online... good vids on youtube. just curious of what kind of exact numbers it can do and you are the only person ive seen on youtube to do these awsum amp tests !! so if you could check that amp out it would be much appreciated !
Nice amp, wonder if this is too much for my sundown x15?
Steve when u do the tests do u go by the certified or dynamic power for daily drive
Steve I myself would like you to check the amp temps when running these that way we get a good idea if they are amps you could actually use
finally a reason to used the bass knob
Excellent demo! Two thumbs up!!
I miss these videos. 😥
Steve can u do a amp test on the optidrive 2k? I wanna know if I'll be getting the power it states at .5 ohms before I go and spend a shit ton of money on it
Steve , why do you not always feel at 0.8 amps and below ohms?
Any info on how much one of these run for price? Would work perfect for my caddy build
wait for the black friday event, the owner of ct sounds rick dodson always has amazing sales!
Whay kind of amp reducer i need for this amp. I have oversized 0 gauge wire
I am going through ATT withdrawels....No vid last week- ready for tomorrow!
vm audio ecd 5400.1 any test on this thing? not sure how much it pushes..
well, i have done RF and JBL as well so it's not like i only test crap. I do a little of the good, a little of the bad and a little ugly. LOL
@SMD, can you do a side by side comparison of a ct-sounds 2500.1 and a mmats 3000.1, I would like to know which one has more power.
both kick ass
