That whole lenticular 3D that the Asus laptop does seems very similar to what Nintendo did on the 3DS and later improved on the New 3DS XL with face tracking.
I early adopted a lot of the gimmicky 3d stuff back in the day, and the 3DSXL was the only one that really impressed me. Kudos to you for the delicious coverage for CES that is the best part of CES that I can appreciate even though it was a tad late compared to the other channels who just simply rush content out to be first and don't do it with style and finesse!
Before my father passed away in 2021.. he used to watch your channel, and loved it. Your content is unique, and sarcastically comical and hilarious. Thanks for the show. ✊💯
This was hands down the best CES review of 2023. Fun, informative and so well put together. The 3D laptop looks awesome. I kinda felt like I could see the 3D in the video, yes I know that isn't possible. It looked amazing though. Wish you had talked more about the Flex hybrid at the beginning, that looked super interesting. I am from Scotland so as you can imagine going to CES is a bit of a pipe dream for me. I can live vicariously through awesome reviews like this, thanks ✌🏻
I was surprised that that folding e-ink had a backlight, lots of e-ink devices today don't have lighting, so having color and backlight and foldability is a really neat combo!
I just want to say that I love your videos. You're easily my, imo most underrated tech-tuber. Your videos just check all the boxes. I wish you had more nostalgic/old school cell phones to review. Thats what put me on to your channel. Happy 2023!
I was seeing all the CES coverage drop, but this is the video I was waiting for. Another fantastic one Michael! After seeing the new Avatar movie in 3D, my interest in a 3D device that doesn’t require those cheap feeling glasses has peaked. I’m curious if a film studio would ever work with a company like this to optimize their film for this kind of device. That’s a future I’d be excited to see.
It's insane how I've seen a few videos about the ASUS laptop from very accomplished creators, but somehow it was yours that managed to capture it the best, Michael. Really, really impressive video. PS: Definite yes on the sailing content. Would love to see it.
Thank You Michael, for finding the best stuff to show us - looking forward to your boating exploits - is that going to be NautiTech? MOST IMPORTANT: please look after YOU for us - we need you out there, so just slow the pace down whenever you can - there's far more than just CES to Staying Mobile 😊
That laptop is amazing. The moment you showed it, it reminded me of the 3DS. I'm still surprised Nintendo didn't push it any further. With the advent of VR/AR, MR/XR, I am certain that we will see use cases for that amazing technology.
What the hell? People always said you can never film a 3D display because the 3D won't display on film. But you did it anyways, and it worked. At least, I could tell there was something 3D in the footage. That tracking is impressive.
Thank You Very Much for sharing your outstanding (and exhaustive) experience at CES 2023, Michael (“MrMobile”) This is definitely the best review of this years’ CES which I have viewed 👍 This presentation is as per your usual extremely high quality standards. Thank You 😊

Love your work Michael. You're not an old man but are pretty cool in my book. Fanmanning aside, it looks like ASUS are making some interesting developments. Is this what the holographic future could look like? It certainly ticks a lot of boxes. The main one being no glasses needed, compact size, not sure how much processing power is needed but if a laptop can run it then that's a good start. I think watching Avatar in 3D may have rekindled a lot of interest in the medium, I know it did for me. It made normal, 2D screens seem fairly mundane. It wasn't the most impressive 3D I've seen though as I remember at a theme park years (decades) ago they mad a special pirate movie showing and during the swordfight the swords were coming out of the screen to literally inches in front of my face. Avatar came close but at no point was I leaning and whincing back to dodge a spear or arrow. It was incredibly well done overall though of course. It'll be interesting to see where this goes. I don't want to ask how much that laptop costs.
