I had to download Camera Assistant from Samsung Store but then it shows up in camera settings menu.

Not usre if anybody else is a little baffled by all those camera settings, but I'll ask anyway.... if you are looking for your next video topic, how about a real deep dive into the camera? There are just so many options I'm feeling a bit lost.
I will definitely consider a camera deep dive!
Just opened, xferred from my old Note * (!!) and am acclimating to the New Way of Thinking™. Your videos- especially this one- are a gift ! Kudos to your child for his contributions to your working desktop.
One question about the format of the videos, and I've no idea of this will be available to me if I pay to join your page. Some UA-cam videos show chapters in the timeline. Concerts frequently have song titles in a timeline showing a narrow vertical break bar between songs and so on.
More than once in the last few hours I've found myself trying to scroll back and find a specific area of instruction. Since many of the menus are the same before you dive into sub-sub-sub menus, this was hard to do but I stuck with it. Were it possible to have chapters in the timelines that correspond to the Notes list you actually tick off in this superb video, we could easily jump back and forth to the particular topics that are most vexing, or need more repetition.
Again, LOVE these and am so grateful you're doing the work.
Great information! Thank you! Question, is it a software issue where the color black is very faded and not rich when using settings etc...?? That bothers me. The black or dark modes on apps are very rich and vibrant, just not on the phones black background color.
Received my 24 ultra in the exclusive blue color, and it is awesome. So packed full of features compared to my previous s21 5g. Still trying to figure out my customizations and features haha

Fantastic advise. Thanks so much. I just picked up mine yesterday. Question though. I'm in Florida and like to do live rocket launch videos from my driveway, launched from Cape Canaveral. It's very dark at night(no street lights, yard lights etc) and wonder if you have any advice for maximum quality videos under these circumstances using high magnification. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. :-)

@@jspring86 i think it's a language thing, I've noticed people that have a different native language tham English usually talk super fast when speaking in English, it spunds fine to me, but fast for others who aren't used to using English since they learned to talk.

Great content. On the display, the anti- reflection is the coating laid on the glass or baked into the glass🤔 if it's on top of the glass, will it fade, or peal,

I think it's baked in...doubt Samsung would allow otherwise on a phone this price, I will look for confirmation of this

And I'm having issues with going live on Facebook, and trying to do my live in a landscape mode, and it's telling me that it's not supported. Is there any way that I can do that? I do have a one favor...... I Absolutely LOVE your Screen Wallpaper and Icon pack and I did try to follow the links you provided. It only leads to wallpapers (So many) but NO icon packs.

Same! I just got my phone 02/03 and just getting around to customizing it and noticed that I dont have the Camera Assistant button either, curious how I can access those settings without the button as well.

Vivid isn't working apparently. Samsung will have to fix this.
Vivid is working they intentionally made it less saturated. But yes samsung is planning to offer an even more saturated option soon
@@jspring86 Well this will make quite a few Redditors incredulous. But if they add more saturation options I'm sure I'll be using them. The extra brightness and 120 hertz make the colors pop a bit more for now.

yours and many other videos, I'm trading in my
S23 Ultra, which I love.
I'm reading a lot of posts on Samsung members
and the internet about how there is a problem
with the screen and the sound coming out of the
speakers.
Have you noticed these issues also?
The screen is just a bit less vivid than past Galaxy phones. Samsung will fix it in a software update. I haven't had any speaker issues myself

It is not the coating, the washed out color is happening on all S24 devices not just the Ultra. Yours looks fine though in video at least. My blacks look gray and gray's have like a greenish tint to it and no setting's seem to change it. Compared to my S23 Ultra, which is already less vivid than previous galaxies, the S24 looks so bad!.

I think the colors are washed out and dull. There's no difference between vivid mode and natural. Samsung needs to send a software update to address this problem.
I can't get the vertical icons on the 24. It is missing the prompt all list.

I use the option to put unused apps to deep sleep because so many apps track your location in order to show ads/coupons. I don't need more tracking when I'm not using an app, thanks.

Have anybody noticed that the Vivid and Normal display dont have that much of a difference between them? I think the S23 had a way more noticeable difference, with more Vivid colors

Yes i noticed it hard . And my display was in the darkmode not nice for the eyes , it hurt .I tried to adjust it with screen settings, but the problem stayed .Thats why i returned it to Samsung yesterday
It's a bug. Samsung already noted it and should launch a fix soon.

Hey - I'm hoping you can help - I've upgraded to this phone and ever since the pokemon go app has been crashing like crazy... I've checked all the usual things - data usage and battery settings in the phone and on the app... I've uninstalled and reinstalled - All my settings appear to be the same as on my last samsung and I've tried a couple of things mentioned on reddit but I'm still getting very frequent crashes... Have you got any ideas at all what could be causing this issue? It's driving me crazy :(

I can tell you I just saw the S24 ultra at my Best Buy. I put my S23 Ultra next to it and zoomed in to 10 then a 100. On the S24 ultra It was more like it zoomed in to seven and eighty not all the way to10 and 100 very noticeable when they are next to each other that the s23 ultra is zooming further in on objects. I can also say that I have an otterbox defender case a on my s23 ultra and the s24 ultra fit inside of the case on the screen and they're the same screen size. So definitely smaller overall size.

Just got my phone and Im customizing it. Following along on your tutorial and noticed that I dont have the Camera Assistant button in my Camera Settings menu...Maybe they removed it in an update? I tried to do a search for it in settings and nothing is populating, how can I access the features from that menu without using the camera assistant?

I've wasted more time customizing the phone since I got it than I'd like to admit. :P But I haven't been able to find very many frame/borderless icon packages, and what few I HAVE found I haven't liked very much. That's why I was asking what exact icon package @jspring86 is using. I really like the look of those specific icons on his phone.

Hey Jeff remember when I told you about the good lock app lockstar well it's there but you can use it for the home screen but you can use it for the always-on display you can't put pictures you can't put that's terrible I don't know why they change that I know why because of the wallpaper thing and everything anyway I'm enjoying my phone I got to get used to it it's like everything else everything has to get used to the phone it wasn't working properly yesterday and now it's working smoothly it kind of look like kind of blurry it's not blurry now you know you got to break it in that's what it is anyway enjoy your phone and I'm enjoying mine I just finished putting on a Whitestone dome glass screen protector I always do that All right take care and I got some great cases man take care say hello to Little Springer for me and keep those videos coming😅😅😅😅

@@jspring86really watch out for them but I used to like when I can put my picture on there you know but it looks cool the way it is and with all paper changing and having the always on display you can see the wallpaper but that kills the battery so I don't use it too much but this phone is really great it's it's great I still have my s23 I'm keeping it soon but this phone is really really good it works well for me and the case that I bought was pretty cool and I bought one from you uag should I have the other free cases a case cover the clear one with the changeable handle and I got a screen protector underneath that but I do have the white stone dome so everything is good and the black case that I bought that I told you about from casekoo a real fantastic case I'm loving it All right enjoy your day let's have fun with our phones take care Jeff see you in Galaxy Land lol
