In the book this is Jerry Fabin, entering his final phase of Substance D induced psychosis. In the movie they inflicted it on Freck instead (poor Freck). In the real world, they call that kind of psychosis "fomication", "coke bugs" or "meth mites", since it's invariably the result of long-term stim abuse. In the old days, they'd have people showing up with matchboxes containing imaginary bugs that had been tormenting them for the doctor to analyze (empty, of course) and thus it was called "the matchbox sign" for diagnosing paranoid psychosis. In the novel Substance D is described as akin to a mixture of smack, LSD and speed, so I'd imagine it has the worst effects of all three. Great way to make yourself batshit insane.
My bunkie in jail was going thru withdrawals so bad she cut her skin open with her nails because she said the bugs were under her skin. Did not sleep very well that week.
Jason Carswell it’s fucked but he was probably better off there, detoxing with free food and shelter. living with my bunkie sucked the first week but after she started coming back to reality she was really a lovely and intelligent person, and i think it was the first time in years that even she saw that side of herself.
Waking Life was trippier, but Scanner Darkly was definitely more gripping. and now the latest one Linklater has made in this style, Apollo 10 1/2, is quite nostalgic.
What a memorable and fantastic piece to the right thing like a plague that devours your intellect and transfers it to what you love. It is a very meditative metaphor. I loved it until I cried. I luv it.x

3 Stigmata would take a collaboration between Miyazaki and the Ghost in the Shell (original) makers. Blade Runner was a masterpiece, but everything best about Dick requires the freedom of animation of some kind. My wish: Akira. Just a dream, filled with Neuromancer filigrees.
Interesting place to leave this comment, with the only common denominator being Keanu Reeves. But as to your point, I'm not sure what you're talking about. You can only choose one romantic partner in Cyberpunk unless you want to play your V as bisexual, in which case you can romance Judy and River, or Panam and Kerry, respectively.

@@dharmallars Had a roommate like that once. Screamed and broke stuff until the cops came and hauled him away.

A classic underrated movie. This an Requiem for a Dream
Ps. - What's the title song name playing here? Anyone?
@@sonnydlyte3407 The track's name is "Aphids", of the Graham Reynolds' score for the film
One of my first forays into adult animation! Love this film dearly and the intense electronic soundtrack. Better than WAKING LIFE.

Well, as for me both of them are really what I need from cinema. And soundtracks are great! So I myself don't compare, I simply enjoy them both. :-)
Beautiful dark movie

I have an extreme phobia of insects so I don’t even have to take drugs for this to happen to me I just have to see an ant in my house
It's not when you see the giant spider when you get scared...
It's when you don't see it and you don't know where it went.

Flow my tears the policeman said.
Really don't like VALIS huh? I consider it one of PKDs best works. But were all entitled to our opinions
