- These FAUX WAX SEALS are super fun and addicting to make. I'm not the first to come out with the idea; this is my take on it, though.

Joann Fabrics shows AdTech crystal clear full size 4" glue sticks on their website. I can't see how clear they are from the picture. Love this idea and can't wait to try. Thanks for sharing.
I'll have to try them.
I thought I remembered seeing them and not being impressed. Turns out I do have them in my stash. They are definitely cloudy looking.
💖 lovely, they are all my favourites 😍 I have all the equipment but haven't had the confidence to try, thanks greatly for sharing your easy ideas. Take care ❤'s from the land down under the roof of 🙃🐨
You'll have fun! :)
I usually glob my glue, I like how you circle yours and build out with it. I am going to try that next.
It does let it cool faster, though, to spread it out, so it depends on what you want.
These are very cool! Thanks for sharing, Lolly!
Thanks for watching!
Quick tip! I use one of those blue gel freezer packs to cool my stamps super fast. (after you remove it from the seal)You can cover with a thin cloth to keep it clean. That way you can use them quicker.
Thank you. I had that tip in the video, but the video was too long, so I edited out a lot of material. Since I was finding that I had just enough time to work with the hot glue before it set up, I decided I wouldn't want to use the ice pack anyway, so I was okay with leaving it out of the video. It might be more helpful with wax seals than with hot glue.
@@LollyPalooza Yep! It was with my wax seals. I used the Gorilla glue sticks for my clear ones.. Their mini gun has a high and low setting. The high gushed out the glue. The only downside to their gun is their mini sticks are a weird size a lot smaller than normal mini ones. So you can’t use colored mini sticks in them without cutting them down. What a pain!
Brilliant idea Thanks
Great idea and they are so pretty!
TFS❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Love doing this. I want to try it with ones I’ve dried.
awesome
Very cute and so easy! 🥰
thanks a bunch :)
Brilliant work 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you 🙌
LOVE this, Lolly! I keep a little dish of ice cubes to cool the stamps in between. It's fun just to knock out a bunch at a time. They also make really sturdy charms, just punch a hole with a crop-o-dile. 🙂
Thanks! An ice pack can be used as well
Love this! I thought you needed at least a stamp to customize the seal, but not anymore! Thanks!💜💜💜
Yes, I really like the smooth look!
Timely video for me, Lolly. I just purchased a gorgeous "mirror" stamp with a flat area (w/faux cracks) and a lovely detailed border with a large and small rose amidst the leaves. I intend to use it with a scene behind clear glue and wax in the border. Can't wait to try it out. I need to find clear glue sticks. I saw some on Amazon that said Crystal Clear BUT in the comments someone said they are not. The search is on! (I think I watched the same Instagram video. Her website is dangerous - as in she has some awesome wax stamps and other goodies.)
What I found interesting, though, is that when I ordered a few things from her, as a thank you gift she included a few sticks of glue, but they weren't as clear as the ones I have.
@@LollyPalooza Say it ain't so! Well, I'll soon see. I rummaged around and found some old glue sticks of mine. (I haven't use hot glue in ages.) I found some very clear mini sticks made by Aleene's BUT they had yellowed a bit. Not surprising as they would be decades old. The package said they were transparent. I haven't seen that word on any hot glue sticks advertised as clear or crystal clear. Unfortunately, it looks like they no longer make them. I only saw them on eBay.
Lovely tfs
many thanks
Another comment/question. If you have to keep the glue sticks in a dark place to keep them clear, will the faux seals turn cloudy with age?
Very great question. Time will tell.
I get clear glue sticks in both sizes at Walmart
Do you know the brand? AdTech says "crystal clear" on one of their packages, but they are definitely cloudy in the package.
@@LollyPalooza... I use the Crystal Clear brand and have not had any issues with cloudiness. Happy Crafting! 🌞
@@marciataylor4077 I don't see anything with that brand name. Where do you find them?
@LollyPalooza ... I buy AdTech Crystal Clear glue sticks at JoAnn's (using a coupon) and at Walmart. I put Crystal Clear glue sticks in my internet search bar and a lot of results popped up. I think Amazon even sells them. But if you are unsure of how they look definitely shop in person so you can really look them over. This is such a fun craft. Happy Crafting! 🌞
@@marciataylor4077 Oh I get it. You said Crystal Clear brand, so I thought that was the brand. I have a set of AdTech's crystal clear sticks, and they are just as cloudy as regular sticks. I wonder if they were subjected to some environmental changes that caused them to be cloudy.
What a great, fun and usable craft! Thank you do much for the great idea. I really liked using seals many years ago too. This really makes me want to try again. I so enjoy your videos Lolly! -- all of them!🥰
Thanks so much!
Such a great idea! One question about when you said you primed the rims before adding paint. What primed did you use and how did you apply it. Thanks!
I think Lolly means that she primed the pen first by pumping it up and down on paper to get the ink running.
I don't prime the rim; I prime the gold marker (shake it several times and then press the tip of the marker against a piece of scrap paper.
Do you have a stamp that gives the bumpy edges? I love that look thank you
Yes, one of the ones I used has a bumpy edge -- The company that sold it is listed in my supplies list.
@@LollyPaloozaThank you! Missed that! 😊
