Soon as the video started I realized my Pubicalyx needed a repot! Thanks 🙏 lol I just started propagating the shingling Imbricata I want to place on a cedar plank, wish me luck getting it to adhere! The leaves are fully folded into each other cause they had it as a trailer, I’ve gotta dehydrate the plant before trying to open those leaves without breaking them to flatten them into the board! The original pot you had the carnosa in looked rather big for the rootball size, I’d be worried about root rot, Edit: … oh, sorry…I definitely remove the original soil and check for cages or death plugs after it acclimates when I bring it home, now I’ve learned. I’d spray what roots you have left with peroxide to help stop the rot
Oh wow that sounds like a big job. Good luck I will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 yes I definitely should have done that, I was just so nervous with it being my first Hoya 🫣
Thanks for sharing 😊 im sure your carnosa will do good and quickly grow back some roots 👍🤞 Ive got my carnosa is about 6 years ago and it was two one node cuttings and its massive now 😘
I know it was way more than I thought but I think she will be happier for it. I would if I knew who the growers were 😂 that was almost 3 years ago and it’s the last plant I’ve seen in a cage like that so hopefully they don’t do that anymore 🤞🏼
That cage was terrible!!!! Why did the nursery not warn the customers about that-there’s no way that would ever break down! I’m sure there would be no rot at all if the roots were allowed to spread. X
Propagating hoyas are so rewarding! My favorite method so far is pure perlite. I hope to get a carnosa propagation soon.
It is isn’t it! I can’t pick a favourite they all so easy 😍
Thank you for taking us through your steps, not rushing, and explaining along the way. This video was quite helpful.
Thank you! That’s made my day, I’m happy it was helpful 💚
I’m glad that I found your channel so I watch you all the time know❤❤❤❤
Aw thank you I really appreciate that 🥰😍

I hope it does well 🤞🏼leaves are still a bit wrinkly… wow I can’t wait to see what it looks like a year from now 😍
I bet she will grow like a weed now ! And you have so many baby plants 😊. That cage was just crazy ! Should send a screenshot to the grower …

I need to chop some of my Hoya. There are several plant swaps coming up here in November!
I love plant swaps. I have so many props at the moment 😂 everywhere you look there’s propagations 🫣

Stick em in dirt. They will grow!
That is probably the cheapest way to propagate them. Love how easy they are!
