Tonight i have a special snow walk for you.
It's an extremely cold (-15°c / 5°f) and dark November night, but the guys from Blackout Lighting have done a great job installing a beautiful light show.

November is often seen as a dark and gloomy period. For that reason, many cities in Finland decide to illuminate the darkness, often in the form of art.
The city of Järvenpää is blessed with a beautiful park with unique trees:
"The purpose of the lighting of the secret trees is to highlight the beautiful trees of Rantapuisto (beach park). In addition to the fact that the work brings life, it's nice to be in the landscape and walk with the dog."

Absolutely stunning! beautiful light show on gorgeous mature trees. The moon peeking through the branches and the crunch of snow and ice underfoot, rounded off with an urban fox. One of your very best walks and one I will come back to again and again.

I am so happy I found your channel. I found it a month or two ago and your videos are becoming part of my nightly routine. I am in the US and unfortunately in the region which I live the winters have become pretty mild. I miss snow. Finland looks like such a beautiful place. I hope to visit one day. I appreciate that you kept showing us the sky with the clouds, and that full moon. It all makes a dramatic night scene that looks like a dream world. Probably TOO COLD for any snow to fall.

I was lucky enough to meet a fox and have somewhat clear skies so the moon could be part of the show too.
Snow can still fall at these temperatures, but it will be powdery and sandy.

I particularly loved when you looked up and the branches in the foreground were a different colour than those behind. And the crunch, of course. We had another dusting of snow at New Year’s but it’s gone again. 😢 I hope we get at least one good blizzard this year. We were watching home movies a few days ago and we had so much snow when I was a kid! We played in it for hours, and only came in to get dry mittens and go straight back out again. ❄

You live in a very beautiful region and i really like Canada in general, the climate is similar to Finland, but as you said, more and more countries are experiencing warm winters over the past 20+ years.
Finland is still largely the same, but glimpses of warmer air are starting to appear on the southwestern tip (Turku region)
