    I could tell the boy in the Red hadn't been in the gym that long. It was probably his first match,where as the guy in the Blue had more experience..
    It used to be when I was boxing, that if you had 10 fights or under you were a novice,(matched with other novices)anymore you were in the open division -fight anyone with over 10 matches.
    The boy in the red is a starting novice and showed a lot of heart,he will improve with gym time . The boy in the Blue is close to going open and has had more time to learn. Good going for both guys.
    I don't know where these 20 not likes come from,but you know nothing about the fight game!

      I began training at 18 years old and fell in love straight away. There was two coaches but only one was regular. I was there for years waiting for a fight but he was only interested in the other two young lads who trained. I then moved gyms and this was my first fight at the Welsh Novices (less than 10 bouts)

  • @povang
    @povang 6 років тому +4

    I see this a lot in the Amateur events i attend. Guy in red has less than 20 rounds of sparring under his belt. My boxing gym refused to let me fight in my first Amateur bout until i put in 100 rounds of sparring. I sparred with the guys in my gym for an entire year before they allowed me to fight. Thats why you should never jump into your first Amateur fight unprepared, you could get someone like me who is 0-0 on record but actually fights like a 30-5. There are a few guys at my gym who are 0-0 on record and fight like they're a 100 fight seasoned amateur.

    the guy in blue knows how to box, see how he kept moving his whole body the whole time and the guy in the red was just standing in front of him the whole time, when you just stand waiting to hit your opponent they can see what you are about to do way easier, if you are constantly moving it makes it harder for them to predict what you're gona do, and there is no way you can get hit if you are blocking, you must stay on top of yourself making sure you always got your hands up ready to block a hit

    blue very relaxed for first fight. both boxed well. the opening is always easy to see from the keyboard of a pc and with hindsight but blue definitely seemed to be setting it up with the jabs to the body prior. the overhand right was beautifully timed and accurate with full leverage. the next kd with a straight right was also excellently timed and great technique. hard to believe this was blue's first fight. he must have some fantastic sparring partners and a great trainer.

  • @SendEstringsForXmas

    Red used so much energy at the start, while blue just kept on throwing quick body shots. Red left half of his guard down at 2:02 while his facial expression showed that he was low on stamina and ate a widely swung haymaker.

  • @RaveSceneTribute
    @RaveSceneTribute 11 років тому

    From the offset you could see the guy in stripes had a very slow jab and left his hand far too low when pulled back to guard, he was asking for that 1st right hand, he was wide open. After the 1st knock down he should have felt his way back in but instead he tried a 3 punch combo, jab, cross, left uppercut and was caught with a great right hand counter.You cant just go in swinging like a madman, you will get sparked out. The guy in blue had good rhythm and timing to his punches, good work.

    • @ACzeMiky
      @ACzeMiky 7 років тому +5

      That doesn't have to be truth. He could actually trained less, it's not about how long haev you been training. It's about hard work and talent. I was ready for my first fight after just one month and on the other hand some guys aren't ready and can't even throw punches with right technique after half year,

    • @TheRedhenProductions
      @TheRedhenProductions 7 років тому +9

      Mat.Mik Ready after one month? You must have jumped straight to sparring which can be bad for people who don't take to it immediately. My gym spends 3 months teaching you the fundamentals then starts you with different types of sparring every session after that, seems like a better way to learn. You would be very prepared for your first fight after 9 months, 6/7 months absolute minimum, and that's only if you're in exceptionally good shape and have worked your ass off to become competent.
