  • After 13 long years of waiting we finally get to drive the historic New South Wales Bridle Track in it's entirety . On this adventure we kick off from Wallaby Rocks and drive the Bridge to Bridge Track then on to the historic gold trail for some camping on the beautiful Macquarie River before trying our hand at some fossicking in the Gold Rush town of Hill End but it doesn't all go us planned when we crash our drone and bust our rear window.

Charcoal bbq is the best what are you talking about chemical taste, buy quality Heatbeads you’ll get quality bbq taste over gas bbq any day if you’re going to the effort cooking this way. Great video by the way

Great to see you drove the track correctly and didn't treat it like a race track like a lot do, I grew up on Homeward Bound (the Property that Mary Flynn Reserve is on), Was better known back then as Sailors Bluff, Was named Mary Flynn Reserve after the Postmistress in Hill End some years back. Not sure if you were correct about camping on the Macquarie River, The Turon River is at Mary Flynn, when you went through the big cutting on the property before you came across the old ruins of the homestead, the Junction of the Macquarie and Turon was below the bluff before the cutting. Great Video and thanks for sharing.

Hi guys great video, I was just asking if you could give me an idea of the bridge to bridge tack looking at spending the weekend out there very very soon. Thanks Jason

Hey Mate You can do the track in either direction, both times we did it we started at Wallaby Rocks campground and ended at Coles Bridge. From the campground at wallaby rocks head left when you drive down the entrance and you'll find the crossing at the end of the campground. cross over and turn left then just follow the river. Track can get a bit tricky to find at times but you'll work it out. Drop your pressures it's soft and you really should have a snorkel. Here's our first attempt ua-cam.com/video/0zwbMVia7pI/v-deo.html

It can be started at either end at Wallaby Rocks campground just out of Sofala or at Coles Bridge. If wanting to do the Bridle after Wallaby Rocks track I would suggest starting the Sofala end. Thanks for your support.

is it possible to drive the bridle track from the southern end in a 2WD vehicle to lets say the first couple of campsites ?

You'd need a bit of clearance so nothing too low and do it in the dry and it should be doable.
