Love having these stream VODs on in the background of my general life!! My ADHD makes it seem like I've got like four different TV channels of Loud Silly Nonsense going on in my brain at the same time, and AA's videos being on and taking up space in my brain is like turning off one of the nonsense channels. I don't know if that makes any sense at all lmao but it's really helpful with quieting down a loud mind 😅
Yep makes perfect sense! Fellow ADHD-haver here, and it’s the same for me! Chill enough to be on the background, yet engaging enough for my brain to shift there without being overwhelmed. **chef’s kiss**
Yeah this game rocks. I put maybe 14 hours in several months ago, consuming all available content up to that point and I enjoyed every moment of it. For the restaurant part, Dave doesn't get better but there is a whole staff management aspect that opens up later where you have more servers and cooks. They have perks, etc. The game builds on everything over time. The day night cycle and calendar date even eventually matters. Hell you even eventually open up a fish farm and farm plots to augment your catches.
I'd never even heard of this game before I saw Jerma play it, and then Amphibian here. Got it and immediately fell in love. This game is weirdly amazing.
I love all the Bobobo Bobobobo references. Fun fact, the Opening for BoBoBo was the first video we ever found on UA-cam. We were like 'huh, this is a neat little site, LOTS of videos.'
This game is fantastic. At its core, it suffers from the Jack of all trades master of none problem. It markets itself as a rogue like fishing game + restaurant sim. But because it’s a half and half, the mechanics surrounding both elements are extremely simple. with how similar the maps are, it can’t really be called a rogue like, and the fishing is satisfying but clunky. Along with this the restaurant part of the game is satisfying, but extremely simplistic when compared to other games in the genre. But everything surrounding it is so polished and so well executed that you don’t really mind all that much. In fact, at times the simplicity helps it. Every nook and cranny of this game is filled with character and developer passion, and it really gives it its own identity rather than the “shallow mixture of two genres” that so many games end up suffering from.
> 48:40 supermarket sashimi is not "bad" or degenerate at all. They're basically cut by people in the prep room who probably has to prepare large amounts of fish in a week so you can't really even argue that they're "unskilled" or anything. some part time college kid who has filleted and sliced a few dozen salmon behind the butcher counter in a supermarket is more then qualified enough. It's cheap because it's probably stayed flash frozen for a while, they get it in bulk, they're not particularly the most expensive species and they just don't use expensive cuts. They don't pump weird shit in the fish... unless you live in china, i mean. Also people forget that sashimi wasn't always this "high class" thing people make it out to be. It used to be that fisherman would slice the fish they cought very thin and eat it raw with some simple namasu or ginger/wasabi vineger because no fire allowed on the relatively shitty wooden boats and soysauce wasn't a thing yet. And back then they basically have all their catch confiscated by the village elder or land lord the moment their shitty wooden boat touches shore, so they just wanted something to eat, Even if it's raw. So in a way, you're having an almost-authentic-in-spirit dirtface peasent fisherman sushi eating experience from supermarket sushi/sashimi. Very traditional. Very delicious just the same.
Actually there's quite a few recorded cases of dolphins literally r*ping people and animals to death so..... But also I love this game so much and honestly am so pleasantly surprised to see you do a play through. Love your vids
Been studying the Brooklyn Bridge and you're dead on about the bends. It showed up during the building of the Brooklyn caisson (tower foundation) but started becoming a real problem during the New York foundation, which needed to be much deeper.
If you're just checking this out now, I'd personally stake the claim this is a hidden gem. I found it only because of the sale, but I'm STUCK I love the beach theme and ocean vibes, I love the diverse aquatic life, even though I'm not a cooking mama fan, I like the sushi section, it makes me feel accomplished for all that fishing Again, on sale, and launching first half of 2023 which would be right now, so grab it while it's cheap
Recently got this game on sale and it's quickly became a favorite of mine. And the game doesn't end if you run out of air you just loose all but 1 item and return to the surface.
When he was talking about degenerate grocery store sushi I kept thinking about Publix (kind of a high end grocery store) and that Sushi is absolutely bomb and I love it.
Talking about Wii games, there was this one, I tried a Demo of where you bring bubbles or something to a giant space maggot, and basically ride said maggot to the next level. It was a Demo, a long time ago, so I wouldn't know its full premise, and forgot its name.
Love your streams but I don’t know this one specifically feels like someone giving wisdom and help to other people who want to start doing their UA-cam channel, stay blessed Mr amphibian
I feel that I have to preface this because I am absolutely in love with you and your content. And yes I do mean "you" if you're not seeing anyone, I'd love to take you out. However, it's pronounced "Viss-Kuss", not "Viss-Q-Uss" and on second thought I don't think we're right for each other
I Hope to see you play endless sea 2 at some point, me and my sister always loved the game, and watching you play reminded Dave the diver reminded me of it, and just now I heard you mention endless sea, and I can't but ask if you'd ever consider making a video of it.
If you love grocery store sushi and you’re ever in Texas you gotta try H-E-B sushi. Their Firecracker sushi has hot Cheeto dust sprinkled on top and it’s soooo good. It sounds bizarre, but I swear it’s amazing.
It must be an amazon river dolphin. That is a real species of dolphin that is actually pinkish. But then it's very lost, as they are a freshwater dolphin.
ABOUT DOLPHINS: they scary AF and will ram your ribs broken if you dare piss a wild one off. they are also smart and vindictive so the dolphin you pissed off will remember you and attack on sight. they also get high on puffer fish and pass them around in a circle. NO JOKE LOOK IT UP
There actually was a sea people civilization in history. Nobody knows anything about them except that they showed up, fought whoever they found and won, and then they left. Nobody knows what happened to them
I was the same way as a waitress. I happily took off hours when things were calm because I could spend more time tending to my customers. Which led to higher tips. Others services thought I was crazy and didn't seem to understand the idea of quality vs quantity.
There is something about the degenerate grocery store sushi. It's not my first choice, but it does give me some nostalgia. I would honestly get it more often, but it tends to be too expensive for what it is.
Honestly this game just echoes Yakuza vibes. The only game where you fight living legends in the Yakuza world, turn a small business into a capitalistic monster and do karaoke with a chicken and race toy cars against children
I always wondered if it was living on the coast that made me trust grocery store sushi so much but that was the only affordable way to feed my sushi habit and I've come to love it. Stockholm sushi syndrome.

Let me introduce you to 'currents'.

Pop culture definitely has a fault in his misunderstanding
Lol this is news to me
You should definitely turn this into a series, I for one would love to see that.

Saaaaaaame. Adhder here too!
fr this mans voice and tone is perfect for listening to while working
Literally exactly.
The sheer joy in his voice when he was validated on his taste in sushi is wonderful and puts a smile on my face

“There has never been a bad dolphin.”
Hank Hill has entered the chat.
It got Bill too, twice
I love the part of Finding Nemo when Marlin yelled into the phone "Give me back my son!"
My guy got snip in the D and didn’t flinch and just pulled the bugger off and sat em down this dudes a UNIT
Dang thought I was the only one that liked generic store sushi nice to know there's more out there!
I genuinely love this so much I don't wanna watch more so I can play it myself
Yes! The perfect pairing. I love this game and I love your commentary. Thank you for this, I would love to see more!
I'd never even heard of this game before I saw Jerma play it, and then Amphibian here. Got it and immediately fell in love. This game is weirdly amazing.

"Degenerate sushi" is rapidly on its way to becoming a staple of our vocabulary. Thank you for this.
The least universal waitering experience
Yooo I saw Kevin play this. Glad to see you put out a long one on it :)

Great of you to check it out, I fell in love with the game the first time I saw it. Been waiting for full release for months now :D

The Koto and the Shamisen are the two twangy Japanese instruments.
Quill18 is the fucking GOAT, great shoutout
begging you to play more of this, this was the best thing I've watched all week oh my gods lmao
Enjoy that sushi! Thank you for being a professional Internet person. 👍🏼
Actually there's quite a few recorded cases of dolphins literally r*ping people and animals to death so.....
But also I love this game so much and honestly am so pleasantly surprised to see you do a play through. Love your vids
Glad you found this it's a lot of fun and has some really surreal shit in it.
My mother got bit by a dolphin when I was a kid in Florida. We thought it was hilarious, she did not. 🤣
Truck stop/retail sushi? You’re a barbarian!
grocery store $5 sushi days rock!

The fact that you know about bobobobobo -bobo puts a smile on my face. What a goofy but awesome show.
6:40 Watch out for those earthquanks, I mean earthquank.
the traditional Japanese instrument is a koto
this looks like a pretty fun game
Recently got this game on sale and it's quickly became a favorite of mine. And the game doesn't end if you run out of air you just loose all but 1 item and return to the surface.
I love that game’s becomes popular because it let you do something you won’t ever do in real life like fishing and framing
Dolphins do indeed attack Humans.

>he doesnt know about the dolphin rape caves
"Sprinting" while swimming drains your oxygen like crazy. You can go way farther and last longer if you sprint sparingly
Man, I love your commentary on this game.
When he was talking about degenerate grocery store sushi I kept thinking about Publix (kind of a high end grocery store) and that Sushi is absolutely bomb and I love it.
Seeing AA grab the O2 immediately when he finds it...
Talking about Wii games, there was this one, I tried a Demo of where you bring bubbles or something to a giant space maggot, and basically ride said maggot to the next level. It was a Demo, a long time ago, so I wouldn't know its full premise, and forgot its name.
The Japanese instrument you're talking about is a koto!
Ah that's it!!
A dolphin killed a dude once because he was flirting with a few girls on the beach and that made him feel some type of way.
Love your streams but I don’t know this one specifically feels like someone giving wisdom and help to other people who want to start doing their UA-cam channel, stay blessed Mr amphibian
Ah, how fantastically satisfying to see your favorite youtuber cover your favorite game and absolutely love it..💙
the sushi soundtrack seems reminiscent of Nujabes / Samurai Champloo
This game looks like so much fun I have to stop watching the video so I can play it myself.
This game is crazy good. I can't wait for the team to complete it! :D
i've played this game, its a bummer that at the end of early access content it keeps looping at the same day and same weather
I feel that I have to preface this because I am absolutely in love with you and your content. And yes I do mean "you" if you're not seeing anyone, I'd love to take you out. However, it's pronounced "Viss-Kuss", not "Viss-Q-Uss" and on second thought I don't think we're right for each other
Im more of a gas station nacho person but i get you on the sushi
Great video. I really wanna see you play more rogue tower. Love the variety man keep it up.
LOL imagine being in a restaurant and you hear your waiter telling you and all their other tables that they love you. Disturbing.
That zoom impact visceral harpoon design!
just finished subnautica for the first time. This game is definitely on my radar.
I'm 1:11 in and I will say this is already accurate to professional divers.
I hope Delroy Lindo is available to play Bancho in the movie.
Duuude my grocery store makes fresh sushi almost every day
I love this game so much! I am so glad you are playing it! I hope you play it again!
@8:57 hey can you elaborate more on why your "right hand was so much better"? I want to know the trick
Gahhhh you just keep playing all my favourite games! Love you so much AA you’re the only UA-cam gamer I watch pretty much.
The other game the sushi segments resonate with is Cooking Mama if you've ever played that!
Seems like an amazing game, I love the passion from Bancho!
Those parsnips arent going to grow themselves mr. AA
Another fantastic Korean game! Skul the Hero slayer is another one to check out
I Hope to see you play endless sea 2 at some point, me and my sister always loved the game, and watching you play reminded Dave the diver reminded me of it, and just now I heard you mention endless sea, and I can't but ask if you'd ever consider making a video of it.
If you love grocery store sushi and you’re ever in Texas you gotta try H-E-B sushi. Their Firecracker sushi has hot Cheeto dust sprinkled on top and it’s soooo good. It sounds bizarre, but I swear it’s amazing.
Don't do it, not healfy >.
Dave the diver I mean if the name alone doesn't sell it to you I don't know what will 🤣🤣
The art style and homage theme of this game kinda give me Chroma Squad vibes (which is a good thing 🙂)
It must be an amazon river dolphin. That is a real species of dolphin that is actually pinkish. But then it's very lost, as they are a freshwater dolphin.
I've been sitting here an hour just going "WHY DOESNT HE ENHANCING?!"
the soundtrack grows on you
1:58:30 Well he didn't capture them to mke them fight to the death but Steve Irwin caught a lot of animals.
ABOUT DOLPHINS: they scary AF and will ram your ribs broken if you dare piss a wild one off. they are also smart and vindictive so the dolphin you pissed off will remember you and attack on sight.
they also get high on puffer fish and pass them around in a circle. NO JOKE LOOK IT UP
I like fresh sushi, but there IS something about that cold grocery store sushi. It tastes like a completely different dish for some reason
Love this game. I would love to see my favorite UA-camr stream more it!
Definitely want to see more.
There is something about the degenerate grocery store sushi. It's not my first choice, but it does give me some nostalgia. I would honestly get it more often, but it tends to be too expensive for what it is.
I'm eating seafood then bam spotted this video lol
AA is concerned people will judge him for liking garbage sushi, not realizing that all sushi is garbage sushi.
I'm genuinely curious what type of sushi amphibian eats (grocery store darelict or top quality) that gets his viewers in a snit?
Yep going to get sushi now
Honestly this game just echoes Yakuza vibes. The only game where you fight living legends in the Yakuza world, turn a small business into a capitalistic monster and do karaoke with a chicken and race toy cars against children
I think the instrument in question is the shamisen
Thx for the content
Now I want to eat sushi
I would make this a series after another update. Only about 10 hours of gameplay currently and that’s catching all the fish, seahorses ect….
I GOOOOTTTTAA get this game come the next steam sale
I always wondered if it was living on the coast that made me trust grocery store sushi so much but that was the only affordable way to feed my sushi habit and I've come to love it. Stockholm sushi syndrome.
i love degenerate 5 dollar walmart sushi XD its sooooo good
Haven’t you ever played Ecco Through Time?
Dolphins are monsters!
