This song and video features our dear friend John Sebastian (from the Lovin' Spoonful) on the harmonica.
Remember his song "Younger Generation"? Especially his performance of it at Woodstock? Since "Once Upon A Time" also speaks about the value of generations working together, we think him playing on the song all ties in beautifully.
This is now the 3rd and final video we had filmed with John, but we want to say again how wonderful it was to work with him and have this project span generations. "Cause we've been told, that young and old can learn from each other ..."

Hi Mona and Lisa. I have no clue if you guys will read this or not but I’m going to drop this anyways. I just wanted to thank you guys for a few things. Firstly for keeping real music alive. Secondly, for making this great music that’s helped me through some recent tough times. I’ve lost several loved ones, and im about to lose (possibly) even more to covid. This music has really helped me power through. Third, for giving me inspiration and the motivation to peruse my dream my dream of making music. I can only hope to some day be on the level you two are. Thank you two for all that. Never stop making music. It affects lots of lives.

In both your hands you are keeping the music of the 60s and 70s alive, along with your message of hope and peace. There is only one thing missing, in some dimension you should have both been at Woodstock 69, not just in the audience but playing songs like this.

John Sebastian is famous, but way underrated. You have made a good choice in covering just about anything he ever wrote.
I just watched this for the umpteenth time. I was too young to get involved in the hippie life, but was definitely indoctrinated in the philosophy through the music that came to be in the '60s. I do believe that you were too through Papa's love of that Era of music.

It's nice to see some effort into the production of the videos you make unlike so much of the boring videos of just someone singing the entire song behind a microphone. It's not cheap to produce a video on different locations, but, it certainly adds to the musical experience. It doesn't hurt to have John Sebastian on blues harp either. 😆
