This episode spoiled us with battle scenes! Loved seeing the different fighting styles and teamwork. Frieren just having the time of her life exploring the dungeon while everyone desperately tries to survive is a mood.😂 Somehow I'm not surprised that Fern is the one to volunteer to take clone Frieren on. What was your favorite scene?
Fern's clone is a stealth assassin. They won't know she's there until she's already blasting. That's what makes Fern scary, aside from ZoltraAK-47.
Fern's clone feels like it's going to be the final boss😆
Seeing Frieren's unbridled enthusiasm for exploring the dungeon is really cute, it's the same with Fern and her sweets.
I wonder what Stark's treasure is.
It's so wholesome to see Frieren and Fern go about the dungeon having fun...meanwhile the rest of the mages are just trying to live😂
I'm honestly scared that Fern's clone is fighting Kanne and Lawine because there is some jealously there (I hope not!) My favorite fight was the Edel fight for the thinking, but I loved the animation of the other two fights, especially Wirbel's attack to bring the ceiling down! Thank you so much for reacting.
Ooh Fern's clone would be terrifying to fight. I was surprised by how cool Edel's fight was even with her retreat. It gave so much context to how magic has changed over time
Spiegel is the German(and Dutch) word for mirror. The ancient word is 'spegl', so Scandinavian languages might have something resembling that.
Interesting! Love how so many of the names here have an actual meaning in language
The Ubel VS Ubel fight was impressive, but I really liked the trench-warfare style battle that Wirbel's group did. It was definitely not what I expected when it comes to mage battles, but I guess it does show that Wirbel is a soldier first and a mage second.
Love that you mentioned his soldier mentality. The variety of fights we have seen in the series is impressive!
You cut out my favorite line in the Ubel vs. Ubel fight, where she looks into her duplicate's face and says "you must really want to die." I think that line reveals a ton about HER "life and personality," like she's always talking about with other mages and their specializations. She's talking to herself there.
I'm hoping we see some backstory to her. She seems like such an interesting character! Love that her power relies a lot on how much she can empathize with others.
It is funny, Frieren and company having an easy time through most of the dungeon makes sense. Ubel's replica stealing the bottle shows that the replicas keep parts of the original's personality. And none of the mages would want to fight Frieren, Fern and Sense at the same time. So all of the replicas must have been intentionally avoiding them as well.
Fighting all their clones at once would be miserable. I'm honestly a bit surprised Kanne and Lawine made it so far on their own in the dungeons already

Reminder that Frieren has been defeated 11 times by mages with less mana than her. So it's not cut and dry that more mana equals victory. It's definitely a big advantage, but wins can still be made.
According to one punch man, bald is way stronger but I feel like Sense would be a lot weaker 😂
