      @A Johnson Marlo could never do what Vondas does because of his mentality and obsession with name/title. Marlo couldn’t even sit in Prop Joe’s seat. Marlo could have ruled the streets in a different time but with pd getting more technology better forensics his brand of violence would catch up to him fast. The ending also shows how he never could have stayed quiet and went to his old ways immediately. This is a tv show not real life the writer obviously used the same exact line but the inverse intentionally and introduces Marlo after Vondas says that next season.

    • @johntaaustin293
      @johntaaustin293 3 роки тому +18

      Chris didn’t want to tell Marlo about Omar because he knew Marlo’s ego was too big and there was no way to guarantee a result when warring against Omar which is why Chris wanted to leave Omar alone in the first place. Chris’ thinking proved true as it was a child with no connection to the Stansfield crew that solved their problem. And Omar was a problem as we saw that he knew exactly where everyone was from the list in his pocket. Chris was saving Marlo. Plenty of people have managed to get heavy muscle to follow them without doing a bunch of dirty work. Marlo fed them all which is a good way to do that.

    • @ericksantos4555
      @ericksantos4555 3 роки тому +6

      @@johntaaustin293 It wasn't just Marlo. It was everyone. If someone called Omar out, he would respond as well. Chris didn't make the smart decision because if Marlo dies, he dies. He said it himself when he was warned about wearing the crown, prisons and graveyards are full of boys that have worn the crown. THE POINT IS THEY WORE IT. That's what it was about. Chris didn't want to mess with Omar because he knows what Omar is capable of. Marlo and Avon were the same in that they wanted him dead. However, Marlo looked weak because Chris didn't tell Marlo the truth. Kenard was connected to the Stanfield crew, unless it wasn't him.

    • @johntaaustin293
      @johntaaustin293 3 роки тому +2

      Erick Santos you’re right Kenard was a street kid who worked for Michael & Michael worked for Marlo. A very distant and loose connection but you are a right a connection all the same. Chris understood Marlo’s obsession with having his name go down in the history books but also how many people failed in trying to put an end to Omar. Hard to beat a homeless guy who has no connection to the game other than a blind man that it seems only Prop Joe knew about for a while. Marlo’s obsession with going down in history wasn’t even realized. In the end, kids on the corner had already forgotten him & Omar was still being discussed.
