Paying tribute to the victims of the street shooting at Toronto's Greek community(Danforth street).Playing a street piano on the same street where the terrible shooting occured ! all philosophers in history said that music is the food of your soul. the ancient Greek philosophers called music 'the language of the Gods'...Hopefully I may contribute to the souls of the families of the victims and the Toronto Greek community with this classical vintage Greek tune: Misirlou.The original recording dates back to 1927(90 years ago) by the Greek legend Rebetico-tsifteteli singer Sofia Vembo. I hope this music helps heal our damaged souls...

fani, most young people do not know the original Sofia Vembo version of Misirlou.
These are the streets my friends: homelss people, rich people. Drug addicts,criminals,nice polite people. It is not so easy, but once you finish, everybody gives you compliments..
I can see an effortless process of piano play...
What I cant see is years and years of devotion (I wont say Hard Work, No its not work for you at all, its pure meditation and devotion...)

A very beautiful cover of this Greek song and very nice of you to make a tribute! Actually this song was written as he correctly said 200 years ago in Minor Asia (when greek people still lived there) in Izmir modern Turkey now, Smyrna (Σμύρνη) as it called before Turkish claim it and it speaks about a Greek man who fall in love with an Egyptian woman called Missirlou which back then it was a very big Scandal for a Greek Orthodox man to love a Muslim woman! Keep up the good work my friend, loved your video!
