_w-w-w… Wh-WEEABOO JONES?!!_
That violin is truly haunting
That's a viola.
@@AlexDeLarge1 no, its violun
WEEABOO JONES!
That violin, at the beginning especially, totally has a middle eastern or Egyptian flavor to it. That is honestly my favorite sound of any music ever but it is used way to god damn rarely.
Viola
Alex Delarge, voilà! 😉
The song is an old Turkish melody that found its way around the Middle East, then was carried to America by Lebanese immigrants, where it was made famous by early surf rock guitar god Dick Dale, and eventually used on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack.
Adam Greenspan no no no, you’ve got it all wrong. The song is Greek but the word misirlou comes from turkish. I understand why you might’ve thought that it was turkish because it’s become super popular and it’s enjoyed by many cultures all over the middle east and elsewhere (Greek, Jewish, Arab ect). If you need sources then just go to wikipedia, even they back me up.

Imagine being a talented violinist and uploading some of your work to UA-cam, only to have the comment section infested with FilithyFrank meme-lords lmao
FUURANKUUU 😥😭😭
This shit's good for my soul. FilthyFrank sent me here
same 😂
Got a time stamp?
Congratulations, you finally finished your journey to find this. Feel free to rest here, you deserve it.
No, my search is not over, this isn't the right one.
FINALLY I FOUND WEABOO JONES'S THEME!!!
Martina, I have no idea what most of the comments here are about. Your version of this tune is stunning, I've held my breath for 7 minutes ;-)
Most of the comments are about the video "WEEABOOS" by the youtuber Filthy Frank. He used this song in it and many fans wanted to find the original song. I'm one of them.
But it is, indeed, breathtaking
They’re about our lord papa franku
Yes it's an original Greek song dating the 1873 from the thriving Greek community of Cairo speaking about a legendary girl from Egypt that the singer praised her exotic beauty and he want to still her from Africa!
The song is about a Christian Greek man falling in love with the a Muslim Egyptian girl in Alexandria, Egypt, which was taboo in that society at that time. Hence the sadness and frustration expressed in the song.
FRANK!
Fascinating, original, spine-tingling.
This is phenomenal! I've never heard such a creative rendition of Misirlou before. What each of you does with tone colors is amazing, and it makes the music positively atmospheric. It evokes the feeling of another time and place. ♥ *Best Misirlou ever!* ♥
What are you a fucking critique
@@SeeDatJabrony923 just some normal comment
ProcapGaming HD it’s just that he doesn’t know about papu franku
The original Misirlou should've been like this anyway, it came from Turkic region after all.
finally one comment that's not about franku
"QUICK, TO THE WEAABOO PROTECTION CHAMBER"
Didn't expect this to be actually good. Pleasant surprise.
I've come from the present to see the past. And it's beautiful.
I don't know what a weeaboo is but this is awesomeness.
Just when you think its over she goes beast mode.
Beautiful song.
Which part is the sound that filthy frank uses ??
Excellent version of this song I've known all my life because of my Middle Eastern ancestry.
Frank: Calls Pink Guy for help.
Pink Guy: "Ey, b0ss!".
*This song playing in the background*
Your performance is just what I am imagining when I first heard this song. An middle eastern song is played perfectly well by western instruments. Mesmorising!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
god i want too see a world built around this music
Dear All, This is a Greek song the title of which is MISIRLOU meaning "Egyptian girl",, written by a Greek person who loved this girl when in Egypte there was living in Alexandria a big Greek community which left Egypte in the decade of 1950 because of political events at that moment. It is not a surprise that the Greeks can write such beautiful songs because they have invented MUSIC 3000 years ago. The writer and composer is Nikos REPANIS who was in love with an Egyptian girl
