I’ve made so much on salvage alone I’ve almost upgraded my truck completely and Ive customized it how I want it in the body shop! I’ll take a load from one system to the next then scan the system for salvage and do all the beacons I can find then sell it all where I can at shops or black market if it’s in the system. I keep nothing in my truck but essential spare parts and sell the rest I get from salvage. It’s also a good idea to keep at least two Jerry cans of fuel on your truck as sometimes it’s easy to get sidetracked and low on fuel at times having so much fun! Lol
Tip: if you don’t know when you have upgrades on your truck they have to be serviced regularly to keep them working fully. The health bar is on the right side of the screen next to the hull health bar of the truck.
How do you find so many salvages
@@TheHeatx123 I just pull the horn every now and then to activate the scanner as I’m driving through a system. Also it helps if you upgrade the scanner in the body shop under subsystems. It helps to ping salvage beacons from further away. I also got lucky on a few cuz they had a lot of contraband.
Thanks for the tip! I generally don't carry fuel around but now that I am flush with batteries I may start keeping the gravity on and carrying a few!
@@hugmuffinzz6559 I used to keep the Jerry cans in the airlock and turn off the gravity but I also am flush with batteries and UCCs so I’m gonna put them on the shelf and keep the gravity on too. Gets annoying having to turn it back on and move the cans out of the airlock every time I want to get out and salvage. Spark City has A LOT of salvage beacons if you’re through there!

Salvaging is fun, to avoid risking fines I always do it in systems with black markets to sell off my illegitimate goods.
The scanner to find salvage really swings your cashflow. I've now fully upgraded truck and now just working on the getting XP and only worry about salvage when looking to kill time waiting for a Just-In-Time delivery. I don't really even care too much about prices, just offload it to keep truck tidy. But give Kingsweave a go - salvage galore. Thematically makes sense as it's likely the result of past truckers crashing into the anomalies.

I've been looking everywhere for those golden traffic cones. I'm trying to finish all the achievements for 100% completion and only have 3 remaining (master mover, reach rank 50, currently 43, rogue trader, sell $50K contraband, and cone connoisseur, find and dislodge all 10 golden cones). I found one golden cone by accident in either Solitude or Reapers Bluff, pretty sure it was Solitude but it may have been near the jump gate to Solitude from Reaper's Bluff. Gonna fire up the Series X and go grab the one you just showed in your video right now. Thanks dude, please let us know if you find any more. 2 down, 8 more to go.
I really didn't do much salvage during my story completion and just smoked some weed, sat back and relaxed and hauled a ton of long-distance loads just chilling out, hence why I'm a high level and have completed the story line but have sold hardly any contraband/black market goods, I very rarely got in my suit and collected salvage or bought illegal stuff to smuggle, just simple long-distance truckin'.
Edit: didn't wanna spoil the story for anyone so edited to make it more about the golden cones/100% completion and removed a spoiler so that there were no spoilers in case anyone would be bothered by it. I personally don't care about spoilers generally but remembered that some people do and I don't want to be an a-hole. Sorry to anyone that may have read my comment before I edited it.

@@hugmuffinzz6559 if you do find any more golden cones please make the location really obvious like open the map and zoom in, then say which area and like "head northwest from this jump gate". It seems like no one has so far made a video on UA-cam with all 10 golden cones, which is a shame because this game is really good and more people should be playing it and there are not enough people making videos on it (tempted to try make my own but it would have to serve a purpose, like I would have to find all 10 and record myself doing so (which I didn't for the first one but I am pretty sure it was in Solitude or near the jump gate to Solitude)). Like I don't just wanna make a video to get famous, I must actually contribute something positive to the community in order to feel like a decent person.
Edit: I did fire up the Series X start heading towards Redsock but got distracted by another delivery job along the way so haven't yet picked up the one in the video but will do so in the next few hours when I get to the area after finishing a couple of deliveries. I will make sure to record all relevant points so that I have the option to make a detailed video later if I choose to do so and feel like I can help anyone that may benefit from my doing so.
Like yes it was covered in this video I'm commenting on but not exactly which area in which direction from which gate and not in enough detail for a specific video on golden cones specifically, and only covers one out of ten.

Since writing that comment I found another 3 and recorded doing so so that I have the option of personally making a video later also if I choose to. Haven't really played much the last few days as I have been smoking and drinking with friends but once I get back to the game I'm sure I'll find the other half pretty quickly though I will absolutely still watch your video and if I make my own I'll be sure to put yours in the description and mention it. I'm a nobody and have never made and uploaded my own video before and have no interest in "clout" or "clicks" and would only make one if I felt like no one else has mentioned something and people should know about that thing.

Hey... put the floaters like the butane, and food things in your airlock.. it don't stop the damage. But your first person.. it don't constantly land in front of your face.
I didn't want to do that since I was going to be in and out so much. It would have made the whole thing so much longer. Easier just to turn the gravity on until I was finished.

Creators need to put out more Scanner/Salvage videos. Complaints will drop when people realize how survivable the game is once you get the scanner. I laugh at battery and filter drain. Ha Ha Ha
It is very difficult in the start especially on harsher settings like one collision and half of your hull health is gone
@@Creator-jm1iy i'm 45hrs into hardcore and finished the NPCs missions. It is difficult, that's the point of them.
When I finish this playthrough I intend to start a Hardcore run and rush the scanner.
@@hugmuffinzz6559 protip: even with the new batteries with this update, don't rush anything on hardcore. you need to plan ahead, save up, buy upgrades, level up.
I didn't start doing missions until I had everything upgraded to level 3, with the suit, engine coolant, and thermal installation to 5. all new air filters with backups, and $25k in savings. It took me awhile.
No idea how the patch will change things now in hardcore, but those missions did not pay well and I took a bit of damage. Getting Moon Baby to unlock the scanner was worth it though.
The high batteri on grav drains 66%/h. Keep in mind that it is in irl hours
You never cease to amaze me - I knew you would put these Scanner to a good Use, but this is crazy thanks for showing whats possible by making use of the Scaners in Detail. Did you notice at 14:38 in the lower right Corner is a Text Golden Cones found 1/10 verry interresting. I like your Startrucker Videos, imho the best content out there for that Matter. Keep up the good Work❤

@@hugmuffinzz6559 thank you for replying, the selling Price is too good to keep them, the Wight with 6.6 lbs is not that much but they are not easy to handle especialy when got Zero G in your Cab, but i wonder if they are stackable 🤔 congrats for achieving 1000 subs btw.

Hi! Welcome to the channel and the game :) Cargo gets sold in any of the item shops. As for the scanner you will need to pick it up from the missions. Can anyone tell me when I can get the shutters unjammed?
They are reward for a sour candy mission to get them fixed. ( I think) . To get upgrades you have to do the missions for the characters in the game.
