Try to unlock all the different types of hauling jobs. Once you do your list of jobs on the board will increase drastically! And you’ll have a better chance of securing those big paying jobs!
Biggest thing I've learned, grab anything in the green on the way through, except for the stuff you can't store (butane, propane etc) because it gets beat up too much and you lose your profits. It's gotten to where my shelves are pretty loaded, some of it is expensive merchandise. Some is cheap, but was for a good deal. If I end up with too much stuff, only then do I look for the place to go and a load to take there.
My top tip for money is buying electric items as low as possible keep your eye on spark city wait till its up market is high sell them am 200k up just from trading mt best run was 52k profit one run
really wish that these small-time salvage goods you're picking up also translated to a progression bar similar skill points except they're for product expertise. higher progress means hauling jobs for them open up, and the more you partake in specific categories the more likely high-paying hauling jobs in that category come out. Or better yet, you could get a 'salvage flatbed' trailer where you can chuck the salvage you grab, and then sell them in bulk like a hauling job. The possibilities for incorporating salvaging and progression are endless!
This gave me more ways to make money in the game. Surprisingly, I did not think of this as I main as a trader in Elite Dangerous. This is more relaxing than ED, as you don't have a lot of people trying to take your loot.
Not a money making one, but.. ive encountered 2 bugs. The devs know and are actively working on them. 1. On occasion (rare) when jumping through a jump gate. An asteroid spawns inside and absolutely destroys the truck and load. 2. (Way worse) sometimes when doing an oversize combo load run, it will NOT fit in its designated drop zone. I recommend saving right before taking a job. The one i had, was a long haul, heavy, oversized, fragile, multiple trailer load. Was a 5 jump for 5k. Upon reaching destination, the load wouldnt fit. Not only did i lose the fuel and batts and ucc and filter wear, it had a contract breach of 10k for cancelling the load.
another known bug they are working on is the bug on bonus payouts. The short of it is the cash and exp payouts are swapped meaning you are getting a ton of XP but shorted hundreds of $ every load. You can see it at 8:49 in the video. 20% XP bonus paid as $100 and 25% cash bonus paid as 318xp
Had the first one kill 3 of my loads jumping out of Haze Way, only had the second one happen once, thank God, is why I stopped hauling and started playing the blackmarket and salvage game.
While doing trucking missions I tend to hit up every shop along the route that is on the path I am taking (won't go across the whole area for one just if its on the way I unhitch and rehitch after keep in mind what i am hauling don't do this if you are in a system that will dmg ur cargo). I buy high value items that are close to market value or lower. I stock up all my cargo boxes as much as possible then once I am full up, I specifically find places to sell everything at high value. I find doing this just streamlines everything so you can focus on trucking then at a point sell and make massive money. For the items I sell its majority is electronics, but usually I have to go out of my way for a good textiles value and good general goods value for the filters too.
So you can unhitch, abandon the load, go hit the shop, and then just come back and rehitch and continue? Nice. I though when I'm hauling a load I have to see it to completion before doing anything else.
@@hugz6559 Hey! Thanks for the reply, Star trucker is definitely my favourite game to watch right now. I know elite dangerous is another game that’s has some space trading elements. I do think you would have an amazing take on a “Satisfactory” playthrough. Amazing planet based factory and automation game.
Bro am in debt 😂 but trying to make money in this game is difficult. love your channel and your voice is calming Love your channel so far and I hope you continue with it ❤
Thanks so much for saying that! I will continue posting for sure! I have only really been doing this since the start of this month and the love everyone has show me is incredible. I am so appreciative of you and everyone else that has subscribed :)
FYI, you have your hidden compartment, can’t do nothin about it, try to avoid trading chemicals they take too long to fluctuate in price, run 3 filters in the truck only, too expensive and not effective otherwise, and so moon baby’s missions you get an upgraded sensor and the salvages are next level, I only trade, jobs aren’t cost efficient for me tbh. I will drain 60-80k per trade and make north of 25k each time I currently got 81530 miles lol…..
Bopping around with no load is called bobtailing, going to a different place with no load is "dead heading". Liking the content, I don't see the profit being worth it to trade in different systems, I mean of course take it into consideration when buying or selling but salvage pays better since it's free.
@@nuketiger8992same lol I am currently sitting at 235k in bank, fully upgraded truck 81530 miles and level 9….. jobs are worthless compared to trades, I drain as much money as I can on trading it’s a very broken mechanic rn
I see everyone doin the no grav drive thing. I don’t think it’s as necessary as y’all think, especially once you get a handle on the game, and your ship. I have all my lights and systems on at all times and still only chnage my batteries every once in awhile
Yup, almost stopped watching his videos the first video I ever watched cause the running around, and moving the mouse like he’s talking with his hands or something lol But I got over it I guess haha
Also the tips being fully focused on PC gamers. The vast majority of gamers are on consoles, so makin vidoes on centered on PC doesn’t make a ton of sense. Still haven’t figured out how to “click” on a system and see what stuff is there lol
I don't know how many people play on console vs PC but since i play exclusively on PC its not really feasible for me to do tips for console. Luckily most of them should apply to both.
@@hugz6559 no, they don’t really apply to both, like I said still can’t figure out how to “click” stuff haha Most UA-camrs just do thier research and say all the ways, console and PC. No big deal though I spose.
If you guys have any money making tips, let me know! Don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video :)

I loaded in to the game recently and some trailer spawned over me. Wrecked my truck but luckily had no trailer attached
Very nice run. Looking forward what upgrades you will pick.
One good use for shutters is energy preservation for the climet controle, it sucks a lot of energy
Star trucker could work in vr

Barrows quest line will help you with smuggling illicit goods without repercussions.

You probably already know this, but if you are low on gas, you can do an EVA with a gas can and pour it into your fuel tank

There is a secret compartment in the floor for illegal stuff. I don't know if you have unlocked it yet.
Not yet but soon!
Yeah I think one of the storyline missions unlocks it.
it's the barrow side mission that unlocks the smuggler compartment
