Jeremy is a stand up guy. He came to the great american hill climb in billings and took second overall. It was unbelievable. I got his autograph n talked to him. He is the greatest motorcycle racer of all time
He is nice, yes. Great guy!
it is amazing living in an era where i can see all these highlights on demand. thank you for posting!
Mc. The greatest supercross rider in the history of motocross a true legend people were honored to lose to him. The KING
the colours, the baggy jerseys, the bikes. everything about 95-04 was amazing
I was 12 years old. This was the year I got into motocross and what a season to get into the sport! It was one for the ages. Jeremy was on another planet. It's was dominance in every sense of the word. Those guys had to resort to throwing the kitchen sink at Jeremy. It's was so fun to watch as a kid. He was and still is my HERO!
Mine too and he and I are the same age!!!😎💪🇺🇸
Same here turned 7 that year saw them for the first time in the Houston Astrodome!
I'll never forget when I first got to meet him in 91 at the LORETTA LYNN'S when he rode for Team Peak Honda and than after I met him every year after that at ATLANTA SUPERCROSS and he would always take the time and sign everything I had and talk to me it was AWESOME and he gave me one of his 96 Honda JERSEY and one of his 98 Yamaha Jerseys and in 98 I had the chance to buy his 97 Troy RM250 that he used in the STEEL ROOTS VIDEO IT was at the Troy shop in Dayton OHIO but didn't have the money. He is a TRUE LEGEND AND A TRUE KING
Do you remember what they were asking for that bike? I must have watched that video 100 times..Awesome video!
Do you know by chance what happened to the bike?
Lucky guy. I never could get Jeremy's autograph. The line was miles long in Atlanta! Every year... Atlanta used to be a staple and now they put it out to pasture out at a nascar track in Hampton GA. So sad...
No doudt
Jeremy. Always humble and smooth as all hell!
Growing up racing all those years looking up to these guys, watching every supercross and motocross race on TV. This is the season Damon Huffman became my favorite rider for a while. As I rode Kawasaki from 1993 to 1997 before I switched to Honda in 1998
My all time favourite and 🐐 when it comes to supercross
I remember Mcgrath saying, i'm waiting for someone to challenge me....and up came Ricky!!...
Ahh, proper two stroke racing. 👍
Ahh the days of D756. Miss Pontiac pan handle. Glad I got to race it a kid kx60 kx80
Ngk,pace, speed world, Skip norfolk can't be a king without a great, dependable ride... great job... and Racers!!!
This is awesome, thanks for posting this video. I just discovered your channel and will be spending a lot of time watching what you’ve posted. Thanks for your effort man I really appreciate it.
Much appreciated man, much more to come.
I saw Japan Super Cross in 1995. McGrath won, but showed off Superman at freestyle motocross. McGrath was featured in a special feature of Japanese motocross magazine, but he seems to have come up with the opposite idea to the concept of stiffening the suspension setting, flying high, and absorbing shock.
I remembered that this was also the reason why McGrath was king.
I bought and raced a 1994 Honda CR 250 because of him. I got a lot of hole shots out of that excellent bike. Best to all. :)
Two strokes 🤘 Good old days for sure 👍
I was 14 and watched every race on ESPN2 in the afternoons. Riders losing the lead to Jeremy by crashing/mistakes/nerves turned it into a dramatic tale of sports. It got me hooked, became a fan of Supercross! I didn't know I was witnessing such greatness that year and I'm glad I did! 🏁
👌🏻
Still have my autographed McGrath RC bike he signed in dallas. Truly the king of supercross
The big one with a gyro in the back tire?
The king of supercross McGrath lost the title twice to Kawasaki riders emig and Carmichael. McGrath days where the best days of supercross,Mx and 2strokes
This was the year that took S/X to the next level. The racing was always great, but this was the year the "casual" observers found out about it. This was the greatest contribution that Jeremy McGrath brought. King, indeed.
It was also the most boring season, when Jeremy got up front you knew who won already and most of the footage just showed Jeremy up front all by himself
Best custom helmets ever no doubt 100%

SKIP is like, thanks to everyone with a special thanks to my grandmother that helped SPY design my cool shades.
Boysen, alpine stars,Coca-Cola, ohlins, super cross circuit, engineering, Honda and of troy, those who were missed...
I was at three races this year. If MC holeshot the main, everyone went for the parking lot to beat the traffic. Pay close attention, some of the east coast races he does a nacnac in half empty stadiums on the last lap. He threw a fuckin Superman in Tampa 😂🇺🇲
I would have loved to be there. Why leave and miss the king do his work in his prime
@@jameszbierski391 me and my pals stayed. But back then, it wasn't viewed the way we view it now. It was "yawn" for the average fan. Listen to how loud the crowd gets when Huffdaddy pressures him and seattle before he smoked his clutch. (That one race gave birth to on the fly clutch adjusters)
James Stewart entered the chat ..
Jeremy never raced a Honda any later then a 93 steel frame. That was an aluminum frame 96. Still cool though.
Best custom helmets were painted by Bob's Krazy Brush, second was Axcel, then Gerard Designs. Troy Lee was a distant fourth! Lol...
Ricky C is by far the best in motocross and Jeremy M in Supercross. I feel with they both should race again for people to see that age does not matter. I know that in 6 months of training Jeremy can be ready for Supercross and Ricky ready for motocross. The reason they retire is they get burned out of many years of race no and all the hell that goes with it. It’s not age! They loose the eye of the tiger and just don’t care as much if they win or loose. I just think it would be awesome to see them do what Mike Tyson is doing. Motocross is so similar to boxing by having to be fit as well as being able to think quick. I would say they need to race maybe every other race and I’m sure they would get paid huge money to do so. People would show up just to see them race even if they didn’t do very well. No one expects them to win every race. That’s not realistic but they still have what it takes to fight to the front
I miss the days when every supercross track wasn't almost a copy of the previous round. The need to mix up the tracks and obstacles more.
When you haven’t seen a 90’s Supercross in years and then the gate drops…….it sounds like a swarm of wasps!
Mike Brown is a fuckin badass!
The 1 dislike must be jeff emig lol😆😆🥇🥇🥇

Is this the most impressive SX season by one rider in history?
I think RC's 2001 season where he de-throned McGrath and then went on to win like 14 races in a row is the most impressive
Carmichael also has a nearly perfect season in 2001)
It's crazy to think how long Windham was able to stay a top 5 guy. I'd almost dare to say that Windham career was more impressive than Showtime
1..👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤😋
I bought a 96 cr250 in highschool. It's still way faster than I am.

RC tied it and almost had one too... he did however have 2 perfect seasons outdoors a long with 12/12 overalls first year on suzuki, only losing 2 motos... one being because James landed on his back and then I can't remember what happened on the other moto loss, still got the overalls. Besides James, no one's even won all 12 overalls let a long 24/24 motos that James somehow managed to do... James easily had the speed to do it after RC retired but I would of never bet on the kawi holding together for 24 motos or James himself not crashing out at some point, but he didn't and got the perfect season
correct me if im wrong but didnt outback steak house buy out sizzler?
I don’t think so….
There’s still a sizzler in my hometown of Roseburg, Oregon
When did it go turn whoops instead of whoop d doos?

The 1996 was the perfect storm of different things to just luckily line up for Jeremy to dominate… if Doug Henry hadn’t broke his back 4 months prior _(at Budd’s Creek in Maryland)_ Jeremy at the very least would’ve lost one to Doug & one to Jeff…
