Skar Audio EVL-65 Install | INFINITI G35
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 гру 2019
- The subwoofers used are Skar Audio 6.5" inside of a ported enclosure tuned to about 39 hz. The amp is a 350.1 Skar Audio amp that puts this out about 7-800Watt peak power. It's not a powerful system but it does gradually improve the sound experience while driving this thing daily. Currently this small system peaks around 118-122 decibels, which is more than enough for daily use for the average person.

Here comes the G35 content lol
I had a custom system made in my 05 g35 coupe which I lost my spare tire due to the guy building a box for my kicker L 12” and amp rack. I do miss my Infiniti
Holy freakin cow man I have skar sdr 12’s and there monstrous,I know them evl are KILLERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Man super clean g35
thank you!
Lol I was looking for door speakers and these popped up. Then my research led me here… thank you sir! Lol
nice! you'd really love those in a custom enclosure. I ran my 2 EVL65s in a RP800.1 greatly succeeded my expectations.
Nice! I would do Custom but not in my daily lol. Just needed a little something to turn up lol
@@EnthusiastPOV I built a box that fits perfect in the back of my Altima. my box is only 9" deep. 1.2 cu tuned at 38hz. them little things like about 250w each and are rowdy in the right enclosure.
Car’s looking great! I recently just got a 2019 Q60 and have been really enjoying your channel. I was sad to see your Q60 go but I’m excited for whats next. Quick question do you know if I can use q50 parts (splitters, spoilers, diffusers, etc.) on my q60. For some reason the q50 parts go for a lot cheaper and have more options. I was wondering if I can just use the q50 parts or if i’m stuck with only using q60 parts. Thanks
HR 6 speed sedan so rare
Alright so I got a question, I want to install subwoofers but the issue Im having is remote turn on wire, I don't understand bypassing and taping wires I don't know what that means, I have an aftermarket radio can I plug my rca to that? Do i need to buy a converter or whatever
I’m trying to wire up my g37. I never dealt with any electrical before either. I was looking at the g37 wire layout and I’m fr confused as hell. What color wires do I tap into for the inline converter and also what wires do I install my amp to
Could you explain where you connected the remote cable, please brother?
Iv seen a few DIY and everyone runs a power wire straight from the battery. In that small brown connector theres a 12v yellow and a ground wire cant i just tap into those?
It looks like you connected the 2 gray wires together and both white wires together then just spliced into the one speaker? Is that right?
Get you some ds18 speakers. You wont regret it
Where did the box come from, I have 2 evl but can’t find a good ported box
why did you go into a singular speaker instead of the stereo at the front of the car?
Where do i connect the audio ignition fuse?
nice video man but could you please explain how you got the wire through the back seats please. thank you
I used the right corner of the seat near the top behind the seat belt area. Used a snake type tool to feed it through
Nice, it’ll be the block cruiser with some thump lol.
Haha
nbs I was trying to see how to do it on a g35 then I see your video
🙂
Wish you put links to products
hoping you’ll respond but i have a question on what the little box that was hanging was for? is it a wire to RCA adapter?
Yes
What is that little box your used to splice into the rear speakers and connect the RCA?
Line output convert
Nice video, im planning on doing this to my G this week. Where did you connect the remote wire to?
Amp wire in the back
@@EnthusiastPOV oh i thought you had connected it to a turn on to a fuse up front.
Sorry for so many questions, do you remember what color was the wire you connected the remote to? Im having an issue on locating the location for it, tha ks in advance
Yea, that was my question, he never went into detail about anything other than the power and the ground I have no idea where to run the remote etc….
Remote wire just needs power signal from anything that has ACC or ignition. This wasn’t a DIY so there was no need for detail. Remote = just needs power source to turn the amp on.
Hi, bro im also need to fix my amp but that’s why im see video on youtube but there’s one issue you not show in your video , from where you take connection for amp remote wire
That’s simple as I mentioned. To any ACC or IGN connection with a 12v signal
How did you even get your phone to play with out aux wire I have same car hook phone up for calls but no music
its something on amazon called bovee
what app did you use to test the speakers?
Just used Spotify lol.
No Highs, no Low's it must be BOES as the old saying goes!
Jokes aside I don't actually mind their systems for car audio, correct speaker placement is far more important than having top notch speakers/AMP ... But dammit do I wish they would just give people a real EQ setup!!!
Where do u connect the output converter speaker wires too
Does it mean that the negative speakers on the converter goes to the grown ??
You get the signal from the rear speakers by splicing into them.
Where do I put my ground for the amp?
Ground it to the chassis. Make sure to make a solid connection and shave the area down with a wire wheel
Did you build that box?
Nah bought it
Song name??
Is that to your factory double din?
The tablet/phone or just the screen lol?
Are these subs dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm?
Dual 4
@@EnthusiastPOV thank you for replying. And did you wire them out for final 2ohm?
Yes !
Bro I followed your instructions to a T
And still no audio
Sometimes taps don’t go through the wires all the way.
Your amp getting a signal?
@@EnthusiastPOV my capacitor is on and my amp is on, yes. But still no audio
Not sure what could be the issue without seeing it bro. If there is no good amp signal you will not get audio
Number one you need to put your make of the vehicle and rest of your vehicle details in the description or title. To anyone working with a infiniti sedans your rear seats do not fold down. Number two you need to film your installation, you jump cutting to other steps does not help beginners at all. We don't know how you cut through the grommet we don't know how you got through the back seats. You didn't even bother to tell us the ground locations in the rear trunk. Idk what was the game plan with this video, either you were trying to display a tutorial, or your just filming a vlog of you installing your speakers... Either way I did gather very little information from this video but I hope that I do my best installing my subwoofers. I have a Infiniti g35 sedan 2006
With all the respect brother, I don’t need to do any of the above. My channel isn’t always a DIY video install and this isn’t one of those. It’s more of a vlog/update. I’d be more than happy to educate or make a video on how to do such things above but I don’t need to do any of these things lol. If you have any questions just ask I’d be more than glad to help. God bless.
@@EnthusiastPOV With all the respect brother, I do appreciate you answering and educating me in all of my questions about the g35 ( you did not). but it's fine your installation is very sloppy and very homemade, also because of this " I don't have to" attitude is why you're still at 9k. You need more educating then me but good luck to you.
@@itsagw7977 I agree with you. I’m tryna install a sub and didn’t learn shit
@@henny5365 Best advice I can give you is to have a professional install it, I tried to install it myself and shorted fuses in my car and couldn't lock my door with my key. So don't rely on youtubers like this guy @Enthusiast POV, cause they only care for views and not the viewer... Otherwise, it's gonna feel like they're speaking a different language at you, if not familiar with Ohms or whatever. Pricey but worth it!!!
@@henny5365 but if choose not listen to me, it's fine lemme give you some advice, take your time and before you mess with your head unit PLEASE AND I REPEAT PLEASE DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY!
why the fuck is it always a sedan smh
Pretty annoying car lmao
