The historical circumstance behind ISU beating OU in 2017: OU was on an 18 game win streak in the series dating to 1990; Since 1962 ISU had only won that one time; All time ISU had only won five times versus 74 for OU. It is demonstrably true that this remains the most one sided series between any two P5 schools. Furthermore: At the time ISU was 2-2 and had just lost their starting QB, leading them to start a third string, fifth-year walk on who had never played a snap in his career; OU otoh had future Heisman winner and #1 overall NFL draft selection Baker Mayfield at QB; OU went on to win the Big12 without losing again and play in the CFP. It's true that ISU ended up being reasonably good, but that doesn't take anything away from the shock that cf fans felt upon seeing that scoreline. ISU 38-31 OU. Kyle Kempt 18/24, 343, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, matches or slightly outplays Mayfield, 24/33, 306, 2 TDs, 1 rushing TD, 0 INTs but 1 game-turning fumble. In hindsight OU wasn't worse than anyone thought. It was ISU that started down the road to greatness that day.

For Arizona, in my opinion, my choice would have been the 1996 Nebraska at Arizona State game. Nebraska was the 2 time defending National Champs and had won 26 straight games with 16 of them being on the road and the Huskers possessing one of the highest octane offenses in college football history. Nebraska had beaten ASU 77-28 in Lincoln the prior season and, in this 1996 game, ASU shut them out 19-0 with an amazing defensive performance. Granted, ASU ended up being about 10 seconds away from a Rose Bowl win over Ohio St, and a National Championship themselves that season, but no one had a clue that they'd be that good on September 21st of 1996. Oklahoma had lost 2 games the season they played Boise St. in that Fiesta Bowl and the Broncos were undefeated in their own right. Sorry, but Nebraska at ASU in 1996 is the winner here.

Might I suggest that the bigger Utah upset was BYU defeating defending national champs and #1-ranked Miami at Provo in 1990? Great video at any rate. Thanks.
I don't think Alabama was ranked though. Also bummed there wasn't Troy upsetting #19 Missouri in Troy, AL in 2004. The game had great broadcast calling too for exciting clips.
I think it would’ve been better if the stakes/rankings/year had been clarified for some of these videos. For example, some of these knocked teams out of title contention. And some of these featured 2 big football schools, but one was having a bad year; though it’s hard to tell if the rankings aren’t shown. Just some things that may how shown WHY it was a HUGE upset.
I also think Penn State beating Michigan 2013 or Pitt beating Penn State 2016 were more legit upsets than Penn State beating Ohio. PSU won the B1G that year.
Loved the video! But I'd argue that the Rutgers over Louisville was definitely bigger than the South Florida game! I was at that game vs Louisville and when I say insanity for the entire night is an understatement. I bet more times than not that if you ask around the state they would agree with me more. I love the work tho thanks for giving me great nostalgia!
Wisconsin upset #1 Ohio State and you choose a game in which Wisconsin is ranked #6 and ends up going 8-5 on the year... what was really the bigger upset?
I'd have to say, the loss to Iowa State at home didn't hurt Oklahoma fans nearly as bad as the 2014 Oklahoma State loss when Bob decided to freaking punt it to the FASTEST GUY ON THEIR FREAKING TEAM!!! Just thought I'd give a little input just in case.

No it was in Lexington that year
Ben Eats it was in Lexington
Who’s here after Michigan upset Ohio State?
me
this just in Kansas state is in Kansas and not Missouri
KMags in Nebraska it feels like everyone we play is playing like it’s a rivalry game and they have to beat us
The big 12 championship at arrowhead I think
I expected Ohio's to be Purdue but the last 5 times Purdue beat Ohio State, dating back to 2000, all were in West Lafayette.
Might I suggest that the bigger Utah upset was BYU defeating defending national champs and #1-ranked Miami at Provo in 1990? Great video at any rate. Thanks.
Wisconsin is definitely when Wisconsin upset #1 Ohio state in 2010, that game meant a lot more
Alabama one is wrong Alabama lost to UL Monroe before look it up on youtube
I don't think Alabama was ranked though. Also bummed there wasn't Troy upsetting #19 Missouri in Troy, AL in 2004.
The game had great broadcast calling too for exciting clips.
M Coste I just made a highlight video to that game a few weeks ago I don’t need to look it up lol
Bama was the equivalent of hot garbage back then. A JV high school team could've beaten them.
I was at the Syracuse vs. Clemson game. That game was nuts.
Alabama lost to UL Monroe in 2007
Alex Kern Bruh Alabama was 8-5 that year and in 2012 Alabama won the championship 42-14 to #1 Notre Dame
Bro that GA tech FSU game was crazy I remember watching it
For the Connecticut game, Allen Bestwick is the most underrated announcer in sports, people sleep on him
I think it would’ve been better if the stakes/rankings/year had been clarified for some of these videos.
For example, some of these knocked teams out of title contention. And some of these featured 2 big football schools, but one was having a bad year; though it’s hard to tell if the rankings aren’t shown.
Just some things that may how shown WHY it was a HUGE upset.
20:44 and 20:54 missed by Boise st and 21:06 good by UNR go Wolfpack
Ahh saw the title was hyped to see an upset by Virginia Tech, as i started it I realized what the game would be... damn JMU.
You skipped Indiana
Eagleninjask I’m sorry it was a major editing error. The Game was supposed to be Purdue vs Ohio State 2018 if you were curious.
Ha ha Indiana football how was loosing to Purdue 2 years in a row for a bowl game
UConn beating ND?
Clemson one hit me hard
You skipped Indiana...🤦🏼♂️
Jack Boatman I'm a Purdue fan so this hurts not seeing the osu purdue game
An Burri I’m seeing this late but I’m a diehard Purdue fan and this is a shame
That Boise St/OK Fiesta Bowl is one the best games and biggest upsets in college football history!!
3:41 like if you recognize the coach
I also think Penn State beating Michigan 2013 or Pitt beating Penn State 2016 were more legit upsets than Penn State beating Ohio. PSU won the B1G that year.
I just came here to watch Michigan lose to App State
Drew Daenzer same, and JMU to beat VT
this video is awesome one of the best ive ever watched
Loved the video! But I'd argue that the Rutgers over Louisville was definitely bigger than the South Florida game! I was at that game vs Louisville and when I say insanity for the entire night is an understatement. I bet more times than not that if you ask around the state they would agree with me more.
I love the work tho thanks for giving me great nostalgia!
What have we learned? Don't be ranked #2...especially in 2007.
How do you not put un ranked Kentucky beating number 1 LSU?!
Wisconsin upset #1 Ohio State and you choose a game in which Wisconsin is ranked #6 and ends up going 8-5 on the year... what was really the bigger upset?
I liked the hug between the coach and the cop. At 2:44.
FCS EWU beating a top 25 P5 school is the biggest upset in Washington State this decade.
As a Hog fan, I'm not surprised the ULM game is on here.
I think the best upset in Kentucky was the bluegrass miracle.
That Arkansas trio of Hillis, McFadden, and Jones was something
This why you should never be cocky
AWESOME VIDEO …….. Did NOT notice the FULL title until reading about 40 comments ….. PLEASE ignore my comments about games from the 70s😂😎😂
As an OU fan I would’ve put the TT loss that ended their 39 game home winning streak. They were ranked 3 at the time
Also an OU fan (BOOMER SOONER) ….. Agree 💯, that ISU game NOT even in my top 10 upsets in Oklahoma
😮😮😮TWICE !!!!!! Stoops took the yards and kicked it to Mr Hill TWICE 😮😮😮
SCjr beating UGA in Athens was the biggest in 2019 by far. At least Illini was a bowl team.
