Only after the final scene did I realise that while the word "biblioteca" is universal for most European languages, English is almost the only exception and native English speakers don't have a clue what it means if they don't know another European language well enough.
What I find particularly amusing is the fact that the shot on top of the roof near the end shows the Brooklyn Museum in the background, which is a stone's throw away from Brooklyn's main Biblioteca!

He’s been around for a while. Everyone is just extremely late. He has been doing Spanish comedy for a long time. Welcome my English speaking friends. Welcome to Arturo’s comedic genius.
This is such accurate impersonating of those tv hosts 🤣 best part was when he hid the hottest librarian calendar in his jacket for later 😅😅 and the stiff awkward run up the stairs
4:34 "with new introduction by Thomas Pynchon" Now that's a deep cut reference! (FYI Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49" revolves around a centuries-old conspiracy carried out by mail delivery people)

I studied spanish for 4 years in school, I've lived in Brooklyn, Lower East Side, harlem, Washington Heights and Bronx and I still don't know where La Biblioteca is!!
Ha! This is so on point. My high school Spanish teacher always said " Uh-huh-uh ,in Espanol" whenever we answered in English. And we learned what and where the Biblioteca was.
It took me half the video to understand that "Dónde está la Biblioteca" is the "The book is on the table" for Anglophone people learning Spanish. But the video is so good I kept watching until then :)

He nails it too!!

In the library looking for la biblioteca. Brilliant!
How-come we didn’t think of that
You're right, the answer must be in one of those books!

True! I was surprised they don’t know the word. It’s the same in other European languages just with different endings.
May I know the meaning of that word please?

How does this guy look both 50 and 13 at the same time
Mike Campbell he’s a Trans Ager. Like he switched his ages.
50+13/2=31.5 yrs
Because he's Michael Reeves
shanmukh sai333 the equation is wrong
Because at 50, people act like they’re still 13 and a 13 always wants to be respected like a 50 person

That's what i was thinking! I was tripping out lol
There was a web series before the actual show with the same premise!
@@Lemit Just like Broad City, it also started as a web series before it got a regular slot on Comedy Central.

mmmmSmegma still does. Anytime I hear the theme music and I’m home alone I change the channel
Lol try watching it now. Pretty cheesy.
Yeah, man! Screw that theme music, man!
I still wonder about some of those mysteries
I took a single year of Spanish and donde esta la bibliotheca has been my go to phrase for like 12 years lol
I'm glad you know then how to spell biblioteca
I only learned "Donde esta las chicas malas?".

omg ben platt singing "donde está la biblioteca" is both the most wonderful and hilarious thing I've ever seen

How did I just find out about this show?? It's hilarious 😂

Wow... It's like.. You watched the video too.
I just can’t stop watching Alternatino!
When their legs moved apart 😂
I want the studio version of Ben platt singing done esta la biblioteca
donde esta la biblioteca (original broadway cast)
The subtle yet random shift that happens is great😂
this is literally one of the funniest sketches i've watched in my entire life. only spanish learners will understand lmao
El baño está frió, amor perritos, tiene alguno?
how deep can I possibly be in ben platt videos to come across this
I laughed out loud when he started to read the subtitles on the screen @ 3:10 :D
The "Not again!" as he dies really got me.

I've gotta say this man is top notch when it comes to researching...
I like that they made an entire see-saw just for that one scene.

“Ah ah ah, En Espanol!”
This is wildly accurate.
When the dude got sniped in the neck with a dart and said "not again"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 how many times has this happened... this poor man 🤣🤣 im fried

I lived in Costa Rica for 4 months, learned a lot of Spanish and now I’ve forgotten it all
The way he run up the stairs 🤣🤣

Donde Esta la Biblioteca? Where is the library?
isn't it a community reference though?
Community is making the same reference, but it is not a Community reference.
It is a simple school-related question that teaches basic grammar.
It's how school teaches Spanish and how Spanish speakers sometimes make fun of non-Spanish speakers.
