Man I love this game and have been waiting for it for so long. One of my first ever videos was covering the original beta build like 3 years ago. Great coverage of the game.
I downloaded it three days ago and have started putting time into it and I'm really liking it so far. The story is cool and it moves forward taking your deaths into account, like when your uncle opens the workshop since you were killed and needed to be better equipped. I like the variety of styles available in each of the family members. Great review, and thanks for reaffirming my decision to immerse myself in this little gem👍

The plot and characters is amazing , which I totally didn't expected.

This is my favorite roguelike. Its sloghtly better than Risk of Rain. I like it better than Rogue Legacy. RL has that really annoying feature of taking like 3/4 of ur gold when u die. After awhile progression grinds to a halt. This game u are always progressibg. No wasted runs.
Morta is amazing!
Awesome review. Bought this for the Switch but haven’t played more than five mins yet. Not because I don’t like it, just so many games to play and so little time. Will have to check this out now that there is a free update with a new playable character. Later.
My wife and I truly enjoyed Children of Morta. Its couch co-op mechanics were elegantly designed. The differentiation of roles and characters elevated the co-op experience. The story was engaging. The length was appropriate. The art design matched well with its theme, while the randomly generated stages kept it fresh. A must buy for couch co-op or 2-stick fans even in 2021.

Got it on sale. It's included now in psplus extra. Honestly I'm glad I paid something for it. IMO this was one of the greatest games I've ever played. Up there with Hades.

The whole game is structured so that you play as each family member. It's not a flaw.
The major flaw of the game is its short length and lack of variety or quantity of dungeons

Awesome, must try this. And could not agree more with your view on Rogue Legacy. The fact that you feel that you are always making some kind of progress, even if only in small increments, made that game a standout. I know that's pretty much the definition of a rogue-lite, but I have played many other rogue-lites that didn't nail the sense of progression quite like Rogue Legacy
Plus the rogue legacy guys are a talented bunch! Have you tried their next game Full Metal Furies!?

The devs said that they are in the process of making new content, so I definitely expect new areas or at the bare minimum a new game +
Replayability is subjective. I played Mario nonstop as a kid. This game will keep fans wanting more. Its hard to put down.

Good video, but this is a hack and slash game, NOT an Action-RPG. Games like Baldur's Gate (etc), Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, etc. are Action-RPG's.

Why are games still made with attacks being so repetitive.. It’s stopping me from buying a lot of games.
If swinging a sword is what you’ll be doing for the entire game over and over.. You better offer different ways of swinging the sword, or at the very least, a variety of different weapons/weapon arts to choose from.
It’s just something that’s really important to me.. It’s a game changer.
