Downloaded this game on a whim because I liked the aesthetic, and more than anything else, I was immediately grabbed by the music. It's just spectacular. Really loved how you break it down here, with the clear and easy explanations and the great visuals. It gives me an even greater appreciation for this absolutely killer soundtrack

After playing a certain new gacha game with an underwhelming OST through out, this video definitely restored my faith in gacha's games devs particular focus on OSTs quality.

on the amplifying test song i dont think the b5 is there to give it an "attitude" like you say, i think they are just using the blues scale (1 b3 4 #4/b5 5 b7)

I was hoping for diegetic music with Anby at the bare minimum considering her theme literally plays when she puts on her headphones in the demo, but oh well. I was just really hoping for once we’d hear those said themes be incorporated into combat, but I guess I’ll take my Robin ultimate from Star Rail and sulk. It’s even a bigger loss this time since ZZZ incorporates vocals (rap, opera, and rock from what we’ve seen), a totally unique and awesome direction for the urban aesthetic.
There's a section in that "Quackjacker" track(as you called it) that starts at 11:55 in your video, and it sounds almost like a battle between the 2 sounds, but you cut it a bit short. It's my favorite section in the full track

It's REAL good. There are several tracks I wish I'd gotten to go deeper with, but it was important to me to at least give that one a cameo.
