    The most beautiful place on this planet is Hvar! Been going there since I was a kid, every year! And the thing that I miss the most about Hvar is that strong scent, the mix of sea, lavender and pine smell. Hits you in the head right after you step out of the ferry (katamaran) and you are on the heaven island! It is really amazing ❤️❤️❤️

    Hvar is such a beautiful island, I would totally enjoy the walk up to the Fortress and the views at the top. The harbor is so peaceful and the streets look so clean, worth a visit in 2023. Thanks for sharing.

    We did all that and experienced a bit of the night life. Had our 23 and 19 year old daughters with us so they found it. You missed the amazing beach clubs around the corner… agree this place is amazing. We also took a boat out to some of the islands and that’s not to be missed. This is definitely the playground of the rich- yachts galore and beautiful people, such a fun place.

    How beautiful! I saw just the seafront of Hvar from the big Jadrolinea Split-Dubrovnik ferry back in 1969. (That dates me.) The ferry stopped for about an hour while they unloaded a huge amount of cargo--everything but the kitchen sink. We did see big refrigerators. All the stuff piled on the promenade and a huge tarpaulin pulled over the pile. We hung over the railing in awe. The seafront looked beautiful, and now I see the town is too. Had a week on Korcula a couple of years after, and that's a lovely city, but Hvar looks even more beautiful. Wish I could have visited it. This is a really gorgeous video.

    You've shared with us so much, including what you pack, so I'm curious and have decided to ask. What does Brian carry in that backpack on day outings?

    • @BrianandCarrie
      @BrianandCarrie  2 роки тому +1

      We take the backpack for camera gear when we are done filming for the day or have light sweatshirts if we think we will be out later in the evening. We don't take it much but it is really nice to have on travel days.

      That is exactly what we do. We were home November and December last year before arriving in Thailand for a 5 month SE Asia tour. We are currently in Malaysia for a couple more weeks. We head back to the US the end of May. We will be home a little over 6 weeks before heading to Europe.

      u have a couple of lines that drive all day, catamarans and ferrys, catamarans go straight to Hvar town and ferrys go to Starigrad port from where u have to take a taxi or a bus to get to Hvar town. i recommend catamaran, faster and direct
